Wrightsville, GA – A Dollar Store employee in Georgia is facing multiple assault charges after she took it upon herself to discipline a customer’s unruly child by beating the 8-year-old with a belt.
According to reports, 8-year-old Logan Ivey was in the Dollar Store with his mother, allegedly running around being a little shit. He was confronted by one of the store’s employees, 39-year-old Emilia Bell, who called him a demon.
“So I said ‘I’ll show you bad’ and I picked up a cookie and I threw it at her,” said Logan. “So then she starts chasing me around the Dollar General with her belt and takes me behind the counter and starts beating me with her belt.”
Police reviewed surveillance footage and say it doesn’t show what led up to Bell’s disciplinary measures, it clearly shows Bell hitting Logan as many as 26 times with a belt as he screamed for his mother and tried to squirm away. Wrightsville’s police chief Paul Sterling told reporters these strikes were not in one area of Logan’s body, but were all over Logan’s body.…Continue Reading
Jacksonville, FL — Last year we reported on 35-year-old Dalina Nicholas, the woman accused of repeatedly pimping her six-year-old daughter out to homeless men in exchange for cash and crack. The other day she pleaded guilty to four counts of child neglect.
For those of you who missed the original story, police were flagged down by a homeless man who reported witnessing Nicholas’ daughter being sexually assaulted while he was in her home doing drugs. He said that over a two year period, he had witnessed the girl being sexually abused by other men, including a time when Nicholas accepted $20 from a man and then instructed her daughter to get naked so the man could perform oral sex on her.
He finally decided to do something about it after the girl confided to him what was happening to her and asked him to help her make it stop. The investigation that followed would lead to the arrest of Nicholas, who had fled to Georgia, and four men. Quinn Brooks, 57, and Ryan Harrover, were charged with sexual battery and lewd or lascivious molestation while John Hagans, 48, and Norman Thompson, 52, were charged with sexual battery.…Continue Reading
Stetson Tedder, 26, was arrested Thursday on charges of second-degree assault of a child and unlawful imprisonment.
The injuries were discovered after the child’s grandmother, believing she had chicken pox, had her seen at the hospital. A registered nurse at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett counted more than 36 red marks over the girl’s body. After it was determined the child was not suffering from an illness, medical staff called 911.
The child reportedly told her grandmother Tedder tied her up and shot her with the pellet gun as punishment for waking him up.
For those of you unfamiliar with Airsoft guns, they fire plastic BBs made to sting but not break the skin.
Regardless, Tedder “knowingly inflicted bodily harm which by design caused pain as to the equivalent of that produced by torture,” Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies said.…Continue Reading
Police responded to Rowley’s home after a neighbor called authorities to report what sounded like a boy being hit by a woman.
When police arrived at the home, they found the child sitting with his arms and legs around a porch support post with his hands and feet zip-tied together. Officers saw some blood on the boy’s hand and on the porch.
“The zip ties were too tight, and he was complaining,” said police spokesman Detective Steve Berry. “Through using scissors, or something like that, to cut them off, she managed to cut his finger as well. That didn’t apparently stop her from re-zip tying him to the pole.”
Rowley told the officers that while she was tying the kid up, he began complaining that the zip-tie was too tight. Compassionate woman that she is, she cut it off to relieve the pain, accidentally cutting his pinky finger in the process.…Continue Reading
Some of you may remember Jackie Nanney – he and his then girlfriend were featured here in 2009 after being accused of taking pot shots at the girlfriend’s kiddos with a BB gun. Not for any particular reason, really, but apparently just to be douches.
That story was pretty much buried until yesterday. Leave it to a retard to drag a years old story back out into the open. Seriously, people, sleeping dogs and all that shit…
Anyway, seems Mr. Nanney is back in the news. Guess why he’s being featured again. Go ahead, we’ll wait.
If you guessed c) child abuse, you’d be correct! Here’s your virtual gold star.
Nanney, 27, was taken into custody last week after police officers and Department of Social Services workers visited the home he shares with his wife to conduct a welfare check on the four children living there.
During the visit, police said, they found two children with injuries believed to be from abuse.…Continue Reading
Philadelphia, PA - Back in 2010, Jaded reported on 36-year-old Aaron Pace, the man accused of using drain cleaner to kill a crying toddler. On Wednesday, Pace pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and was sentenced to 17.5 to 35 years in prison.
Back in February 2010, police were called to a home where they found 20-month-old Suliaman Orrell Kirkland suffering from chemical burns on the upper part of his body. The boy was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but would die five days later.
The boy’s babysitter, Aaron Pace, admitted he got angry when the toddler became cranky and uncooperative during bath-time, so he grabbed a container of drain-cleaning crystals and then rubbed the caustic substance into the boy’s skin with a rag.
Those who were first on the scene that day, and hospital workers who tried to save the boy’s life, say that Kirkland’s death still effects them to this day.
“In 14 years with the Fire Department, I’ve seen a lot of death and injured children, but this case is the most horrible thing I’ve ever seen,” paramedic Colleen Stankiewicz said. Police Officer Judith Kinniry said she’s haunted by the sight of Kirkland in the emergency room with burns to 20% of his body, stating that the boy’s body was trembling while his skin was sloughing off.…Continue Reading
APPLE VALLEY, CA – A southern California woman has been arrested in the death of her boyfriend’s 2-year-old daughter after she allegedly forced the toddler to eat chili powder as a punishment.
On Sunday, police were called to the home of 21-year-old Amanda Sorensen on a report of a child suffering from a seizure after ingesting chili powder. The unidentified girl was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The next day, Sorensen was taken into custody on suspicion of child abuse resulting in death. There has been no official word on what police found out that led them to file child abuse charges against Sorensen. Investigators are waiting for an autopsy to be performed to learn the girl’s exact cause of death.
Some neighbors said they didn’t notice anything unusual at the home where Sorensen lived with her boyfriend and other children, but one neighbor said the couple fought often.
“They fight like crazy,” the neighbor said. “I went over there one day to help with the car. She came out asking when he was going to get done so they could get the kids from school.…Continue Reading
Detroit, MI – Police have arrested Semaria Greene, accusing her of stabbing her eight-year-old daughter to death.
When police arrived at Greene’s home early Sunday morning, they found her performing CPR on her 8-year-old daughter, Tameria Greene. The girl was had been stabbed once in the chest and was lying unresponsive on her back in the living room.
Tameria was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Doctor’s told police that aside from the stab wound, the girl also had bruises, possible bite marks and deep scratches to her face.
Semaria told police that she last saw her daughter as the girl was making sandwiches. She had went to answer a knock at the door and when she returned, she found her daughter lying dead in the living room. Police would find no evidence of sandwiches having been made, but they did find a large, bloody kitchen knife by the sink.
A neighbor said that at around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, she saw Semaria hitting the window of a van and arguing with an unknown man outside her doorway.…Continue Reading
DeLand, FL – A Florida man has been accused of taking a belt to three young children because one of them farted in the car and failed to own up to it.
Austin Davis, 32, was taken into custody Thursday in connection with the incident, which apparently occurred sometime during Thanksgiving Day weekend.
According to police, Davis was traveling with the children when one of ‘em let a juicy one rip. He apparently became unhinged when the kiddos zipped their lips and refused to tattle on the butt trumpeter, and each got a taste of the belt.
The beatings were so severe, police say, the children had significant bruising and painful injuries. A female relative close to the children took photos of the alleged injuries, but for whatever reason, didn’t inform the authorities until just recently.
The photos reportedly showed a 6-year-old with dark bruising to the legs, buttocks and thighs. A 12-year-old also had dark bruises on his legs and thighs. And a 9-year-old refused to have pictures of his bruises taken because he feared retaliation if Davis found out he reported the incident.…Continue Reading
Martell, NE - Looks like Matthew Wylie still hasn’t learned how to be around babies and not severely injure them. He was on our site back in 2009 after nearly severing a 3-month-old’s tongue, and now he’s back after allegedly breaking a 1-year-old’s skull.
A few years ago, Wylie was accused of almost severing the tongue of his then girlfriend’s 3-month-old. He would admit to pressing down on the infant’s tongue in an attempt to stop him from crying and possibly cutting the boy’s tongue with his fingernail.
Wylie was arrested and charged with felony child abuse. He would later be found guilty of the charges and sentenced to three to six years in prison. The boy’s mother, Tracy Daniel, kinda-sorta defended Wylie and would end up marrying him. The couple would have a daughter in 2010.
In September 2011, after serving less than two years in prison, the state Board of Parole approved his release after his Sunday school teacher told the board that Wylie has shown tremendous growth since being allowed to leave prison to attend Sunday school.…Continue Reading
Ryan Reed, 27, and Allison Clement, 28, cared for 3-year-old Savannah Cross as part of their babysitting service they advertised on Craigslist. They had been caring for Cross since July and watching her on a full-time basis since October. Her mother, 27-year-old Ashley, would leave Savannah with the couple for weeks at a time, occasionally showing up to visit or pay her bill. The last time she visited her daughter was on Thanksgiving.
Ashley won’t have to worry about caring for her daughter any longer as the little girl is dead after suffering extreme physical abuse that ended with a well-placed stomp to the stomach. Police were called to the couple’s home Tuesday morning after receiving a call for a child not breathing. Savannah would die on the way to the hospital, where doctors would find signs the girl had been abused.
Savannah was covered in bruises on both sides of her body that were in different stages of healing.…Continue Reading
RICHLAND HILLS, TX – A father has been accused of using a box cutter to carve a pentagram in his 6-year-old son’s back, telling a 911 operator he did so because it was a holy day.
Police arrested 39-year-old Brent Troy Bartel yesterday after he called 911 and calmly told the dispatcher he had “shed innocent blood.” At the same time, the child’s mother had ran next door to a neighbor’s for help, saying that Bartel was hurting their son.
When police arrived, they found Bartel alone in the home with his son, who was clad in only pajama bottoms and sporting a bloody pentagram that his father had carved into his back with a box cutter. They also found the child’s blood smeared on the sides and the top of the home’s door frame.
“I would say his demeanor was very flat. There were no indications that he was under the influence of any drugs,” Richland Hills police Sgt. Nathan Stringer said about Bartel.
The boy was transported to Cook Children’s Medical Center, where he underwent treatment for the pentagram that covered the majority of his back.…Continue Reading
Back in May we reported on 38-year-old Stephanie Ann Broten and her boyfriend, 34-year-old Darnell Alan Landrum. In response to Broten’s 12-year-old daughter bringing home bad grades, the couple shaved her head and put her in a diaper before sending her outside in front of neighbors and classmates.
One of these neighbors ended up calling police who arrived to find a crowd of 30 to 50 people watching the poor girl crying hysterically as she tried to get back in her house after being forced to run up and down the street with a shaved head and clad in a diaper and a tank top.
Neighbors said she had been outside for at least 30 minutes and reported seeing the girl standing outside the back door begging her mother to let her in, only to have her mother stare back at her. When police questioned Broten, she told them she did not see what the problem was and that she was simply disciplining her child by embarrassing her.…Continue Reading
Boston, MA – After two weeks on the run, a couple wanted by police for the alleged beating and burning of a 3-year-old boy have been apprehended at a Florida theme park.
Earlier this month, arrest warrants were issued for 23-year-old Jessica Linscott and 27-year-old Roland Dow, after Linscott’s 3-year-old son was dropped of at Exeter Hospital suffering from head trauma and burns to his arms.
The couple stated that his injuries were self-inflicted, but doctor’s determined the boy had been abused and contacted police. Authorities gave the couple the option of turning themselves in, but they took the opportunity to go on the run.
It took investigators two weeks, but after countless hours searching combined with tips from the community, the couple were finally located at Universal Studios in Orlando. Marshals spent all day Wednesday in the park searching for the couple, finally finding them at the end of the day just as they had finished watching a parade.
Linscott and Dow were booked into the Orange County Jail, and are being held pending their arraignment on fugitive from justice charges in Florida.…Continue Reading
According to police, Thomas Matheson, 27, was caring for the boy last Friday evening while the child’s mother worked.
At some point that night, Matheson allegedly gave the kid a massive titty-twister – twisting and pulling so hard, police say, “the skin covering the nipples was removed.”
The child apparently ran around nipple-less for days and it wasn’t until Tuesday that his grandma finally noticed the injury and called authorities.
The kid was taken to Morton Plant North Bay Hospital, where doctors there determined that the removal of the toddler’s nipples was due to trauma. They also say it is unlikely the boy’s nipples will ever grow back.
Matheson later told police he wasn’t even aware the child had been hurt, even though the boy had been running around shirtless the evening of the alleged assault. No word on why mom didn’t notice the kid was missing his nipples.…Continue Reading
Police were called to the home of 47-year-old William Lewallen by a neighbor who had found a 4-year-old boy naked and locked outside in 40 degree weather. Inside the residence, the officers also discovered a 16-month-old girl covered in feces and locked inside a dog crate. A third naked child was found in bed with their passed out father.
Mr. Lewallen’s neighbors told investigators they heard a child crying Sunday night and went to investigate. The two men walked through a wooded area behind Lewallen’s home and discovered someone had thrown out a perfectly good white boy. According to the neighbor, they saw a naked 4-year-old boy in Lewallen’s backyard crying, “Daddy, let me in! I’m cold!”
The men gave the boy a jacket and knocked on Lewallen’s door but, when no one answered, one of the men took the boy home and called police. ”When officers arrived, they spoke with the neighbor and investigated further,” said Officer Leland Ashley of Tulsa PD. “As they approached the house, they could hear screaming and crying coming from inside.”
When officers looked through a small window, they saw a naked toddler locked inside a metal dog crate. With nobody answering the door, they broke into the home and were “immediately hit with the overwhelming stench of feces,” according to Officer Ashley. Police removed the 16-month-old girl from her cage and discovered she was partly responsible for the smell,as she was covered in her own filth.…Continue Reading
Phoenix, AZ – An Arizona mother of five has been charged with child abuse after she took her 6-year-old daughter to a McDonald’s for ice cream, and then abandoned her there.
Police say 23-year-old Lucy Parra took her daughter, Everlyn, to a Mcdonald’s Wednesday evening so the girl could go in and purchase an ice cream. When the girl returned to the parking lot, she could not find her mother and her mother’s car was nowhere to be found.
McDonald’s employees say the girl was visibly upset over having been abandoned and that they ended up calling police after 15 minutes of searching for Parra. While waiting for police, McDonald’s employees said they fed the girl in the office and tried comforting her. “She was really hungry. She said she had not ate all day since school lunch,” the employee said.
Officers were still on the scene when Parra came back to the restaurant 40 minutes later. Employees say she appeared intoxicated, claiming she never left the parking lot. The employee says that’s bullshit, as there were only four cars in the lot when they were out looking for her.…Continue Reading
NEWBURYPORT, MA - Police have arrested a teen mother after they say she poisoned another teen mother’s infant while they both stayed at a home for teenage mothers.
The teens, both under the age of 17, had been staying at the home for little over a year when one of their infants became ill. The baby, less than a year old, was rushed to the hospital where it was learned that he had ingested a poisonous substance.
The boy was treated and released, but an investigation would later reveal that the infant had ingested baby formula tainted with a household cleaning product, and that another teen mother staying at the home had placed the substance in the formula earlier in the week.
Before it was learned how the boy was poisoned, and who was responsible, the accused teen had run away from the home. She was later found and arrested on a warrant issued for her running away, then charged with attempted poisoning the next day.
She is currently in jail without bond and will appear in juvenile court next week.…Continue Reading
Houston, TX – Police have arrested a woman in Texas after they say she beat her little sister with an extension cord before knocking her unconscious during a fight over Cheetos.
After a 10-year-old girl showed up to school with suspicious bruises and a bump on her head, school counselors contacted CPS and informed them that this was not the first time the girl had come to school with injuries. When inquired about her injuries, the girl told police they were from her older sister, 23-year-old Deby Mejia.
She said Mejia had gotten angry when she returned home and found the girl snacking on some Cheetos she had purchased from a neighbor. Mejia allegedly responded by whipping the girl with an extension cord, then knocked the girl unconscious by grabbing her by the hair and banging her head on the floor. Mejia told police she’s been raising her 10-year-old sister ever since their mother was deported to Honduras in 2006, and resents the child ever being born. She added that she does not love her sister, hates she was forced to care for her, and had no remorse over what she had done.…Continue Reading
But since I suffer for you guys (some say just like Jesus), I will write another child abuse story today, a subject I like least of all. (*hears waaay too many tiny violins playing*)
A woman in North Carolina has been charged with felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury and mental emotional injury after she became so enraged over her 9-month-old daughter’s crying, that she poured boiling water on her.
Police say that 33-year-old Michelle Julia Woodhouse-Deboyes became angry with her daughter’s crying that she flipped the girl’s bouncy seat over with the baby still in it.
The resulting bruise to her daughter’s face did not her crying, so Woodhouse-Deboyes switched tactics. She went into the kitchen and filled a coffee mug with boiling water then poured the boiling water on top of her crying daughter. Still not getting the result she was looking for, Woodhouse-Deboyes flipped her daughter over and held her down in the hot water that had puddled on the floor.…Continue Reading
