Tyshekka Collier Charged After Slapping Wrong Child In Principal’s Office

SPARTANBURG, SC - Police say 36-year-old Tyshekka Collier is facing charges after she walked into the school office to pick up her son, who had just been suspended, then slapped the wrong child.
On Wednesday morning, Collier was called to Fairforest Middle School to get her son because he’d just been suspended. When she arrived, she saw a boy sitting in the office with his head down and slapped him in the face. Problem was that it wasn’t her son – it was a boy who was sick and waiting for his mother to come pick him up.
Collier apologized to the boy, then walked over to her son and proceeded to slap his ass silly. According to the arrest warrant, Collier hit her son in the head and face, knocking him to the ground.
Police were called to the scene and Collier was arrested and charged with disturbing school and two counts of assault and battery.
“In speaking with the parents and all the interviews that were done — the two charges for the assaults and disturbing school, we felt were the most appropriate means to go with,” said Spartanburg County sheriff’s Lt.…

SANTA FE, TX - Laura Lea Kolb was so angry with her boyfriend after an argument that she killed his 4-year-old daughter, according to Santa Fe police.
Kolb lived at the Santa Fe Courtyard apartments with Kevin Moore and his two young daughters from a previous relationship. After the couple got into an argument at around 3 a.m. Saturday, Moore walked out and talked to a downstairs neighbor to cool off.
Kolb also came out of the apartment but fell down some stairs. When she went back inside, police say the 36-year-old took out her frustration on Moore’s 4-year-old daughter, Taylor.
“She kept hollering ‘Kevin,’” a neighbor said. “Kevin’s like ‘I’ll be up there in a minute, I’ll be up there in a minute.’ And it was like an hour later, all the sirens come up.”
Turns out that when Moore went back in his apartment, he found that Kolb had fatally injured Taylor. He ran outside holding his daughter’s limp body and a neighbor tried to revive her, but it was too late.…

LAS VEGAS, NV — Police have charged 36-year-old Laketha Moore with 31 counts of child abuse after her 4-year-old daughter was discovered tied to a bed, beaten and starved.
Had it not been for a Loma Vista Apartments maintenance worker, there’s no telling how long this little girl would have continued to suffer. He was performing a routine maintenance check inside Moore’s apartment on Monday and found a belt connecting the bathroom and bedroom doors.
When the worker went inside a bedroom, he found Moore’s starving 4-year-old daughter tied to a bed and surrounded by filth. She had multiple injuries, including a black eye, cuts on her nose, cheek, a bruised rib cage, back, ankles and matted hair. The girl said she was hungry because “Mommy ties me up all the time.”
When police located Moore she confessed to police that she abandoned her daughter regularly to go to work or church.
“Laketha Moore was allegedly leaving her daughter tied to a bed in her bedroom, and locked in there for hours, 10 to 12 hours a day, five to seven days a week,” North Las Vegas spokeswoman Chrissie Coon said.…

Keizer, OR - Gerardo Chavarria, 24, was sentenced to 25 years in prison after admitting he got angry with his girlfriend’s 4-year-old son for spilling his beer, and killed the boy by pounded his head into the floor.
In 2011, Chavarria took his girlfriend’s son, Sebastian Iturbetook, to the hospital claiming that he was watching the boy when Sebastian fell down the stairs leading to the basement. Sebastion was transferred to Oregon Health and Science University where he died of blunt force trauma to the head on Nov. 6, 2011.
A medical examination would later show that the boy’s injuries did not coincide with Chavarria’s explanation of events. Chavarria would change his story, saying he’d accidentally pushed the child with a child carrier, causing Sebastion to fall down the flight of stairs. This explanation still did not explain the boy’s injuries, and Chavarria was charged with murder.
Chavarria continued to proclaim his innocence, never admitting to willfully abusing the boy, or intentionally causing his death. But that changed on Tuesday, two weeks before he was to go to trial, when Chavarria waived his right to a trial and told the court what actually happened on the morning of Sebastion’s death.…

Lebanon, MO – Very little details on this messed up story that doesn’t look like is being widely reported, but Lebanon police have arrested 19-year-old Ashley Nicole Williams after they say say she molested her two-month-old daughter because she wanted to know what it felt like.
On March 7, police responded to Mercy Hospital Lebanon’s emergency room to investigate a report of child molestation. When William’s husband was interviewed, he told told them that over the last five days he’d witnessed Williams touching the girl inappropriately while changing her diaper. He said she had done this with other family members present.
Williams waived her Mirand Rights and admitted to police that she molested her two-month-old daughter on at least three occasions. She said she became sexually aroused when molesting her daughter, and started having family members change her daughter’s diaper so she would not be tempted to do it again.
She said she was molested as a child and molested her daughter to know what it felt like to be the molester instead of the molested in order to try and understand why she was sexually abused.…

OVIEDO, FL – According to the FBI, 28-year-old Sarah Adleta recorded herself sexually abusing children and then sent the images to a suspected pedophile in North Carolina.
According to a criminal complaint, the FBI became aware of Adleta after they found she’d sent images of herself and multiple children to Aaron Dixon, a North Carolina man who’d been recently charged with having sex with a child.
When agents met with Adleta, she admitted that about a year ago, she began sending Dixon nude photos of her and a child. This lead to her performing sex acts on multiple children while streaming the vile acts live on Skype so Dixon could watch her do it.
She also sent Dixon images of her performing sex acts with the children via email and her cell pone. Adleta, who was taking several classes at UCF, was arrested on child pornography charges and is being held without bail in Polk County jail pending a bond hearing.
One of Adleta’s neighbors said the Adleta would volunteer to babysit her kids, but she always felt something just wasn’t right.…

Springdale, AR - Here’s not one, but TWO dead babies to ruin your day. Travis Fox is accused of shaking two of his babies to death a year and a half apart.
Last Wednesday, Fox’s 7 month old baby, William, was brought to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The doctors found the injuries suspicious and Fox, 24, confessed to investigators that he violently shook the child for an extended amount of time because the child was “fussing.’”

MESA, AZ – A woman accused of trying to drown her 3-year-old in a puddle says on the day of the incident, she was just following the orders of Jesus Christ.
According to court documents, a man called police to report he was investigating a child screaming when he saw 30-year-old Victoria Soliz on her knees pushing a toddler’s face into a puddle in is front yard. The man told police he told Soliz to stop, but she just moved to a larger puddle and shoved the child’s face in it several more times. She then started giving the toddler what appeared to be CPR.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found the Soliz’s 3-year-old shivering from the cold and wearing water-soaked clothing. Soliz was taken into custody while her son was taken to the hospital to receive medical treatment.
While in custody, Soliz was also taken to the hospital where she told doctors she’d been using meth to self-treat her schizophrenia, but that it was ”Jesus” that told her to “drown” her son.…

Oklahoma City, OK – An 11-year-old boy and his mother have been arrested after police say the boy raped his 6-year-old sister and his mother failed to report it.
Police went to the victim’s home after a state Department of Human Services worker told them the girl had been sexually assaulted by her brother and her cousin. The girl told the DHS worker that she was in her bedroom doing homework when her brother and a 7-year-old cousin asked her to pull her pants off. The girl said after her pants were off, both of the boys “put their things in her and it hurt,”‘ the police report states.
When the girl told her mother, Maria Marquez, she’d been raped by the two boys, Marquez told her not to tell anyone. Marquez told the DHS worker that after her daughter told her what had happened, she confronted her son, who told her it was the cousin that had sexually assaulted his sister. Even so. DEFIANCE COUNTY, OH – The shooting death of a man in 2003, once considered accidental, is now being called a murder orchestrated by Judith Hawkey, a woman who prosecutors say forced her 10-year-old stepson to shoot his father to death.
On Nov. 3, 2003, police responded to an accidental shooting call at the home of Robert Breininger and his then wife, Judith Hawkey. Police would find Robert dead in a bedroom from a single gunshot wound to the head. It was claimed that the shooting was accidental and involved Breininger’s 10-year-old son.
While the death was ruled accidental, a recent investigation has prosecutors charging Hawkey with murder. Prosecutors allege Hawkey tortured and abused the 10-year-old over a three year period, and forced the boy to kill his own father.
No word on what information led to the case being re-opened a decade later, but a grand jury indicted Hawkey this month. ”The information on what caused the investigation to be reopened as a homicide is not something I can comment on publicly,” said Defiance County Prosecuting Attorney Morris Murray.…

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Last year we reported on Steven Deuman, the Michigan man found guilty of killing his infant daughter while orally raping her. On Tuesday, he was sentenced to two life terms in prison.
For those of you who missed this horrible story, 28-year-old Steven Deuman said he found 15-week-old Evelynne Deuman on the floor bleeding from the nose, unconscious and not breathing.
Instead of calling 911 for help, he called the girl’s mother, Natasha Maitland, and told her their baby wasn’t breathing. A call to 911 was not made until after Maitland drove back home from work.
Instead of waiting for an ambulance, they attempted to drive to the hospital, but were met by responding paramedics who tried to revive Evelynne before rushing her to the hospital. But, according to prosecutors, Evelynne had been dead for far too long.
It wasn’t until later that night that Deuman allegedly whispered to Maitland that he had pulled a used condom out of their daughter’s mouth. The condom would be found underneath a diaper in the bedroom, and contained Evelynne’s DNA on the outside, and her parents’ DNA on the inside.…

Georgia - Paul and Sheila Comer, the couple who imprisoned and starved Sheila’s son for three years before sticking him on a bus to California when he turned 18-years-old, were both sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The couple were arrested in September 2012 after being accused of locking Sheila’s teen son, Mitch, inside a bathroom and then a bedroom for three friggin’ years. He’d been isolated in the house for so long that his two younger sisters who lived there had forgotten what he looked like. They couldn’t even recall the color of Mitch’s hair.
When he turned 18,Paul Comer took him to a bus station with a ticket to California and a map of local homeless shelters. Afterwards, the couple threw away everything in the home that had anything to do with Mitch, including his baby shoes and pictures.
Mitch was found wandering a Los Angeles bus station by a former security guard who called police. Mitch was emaciated, stood 5-feet-1 and weighed only 89-pounds. He looked like a 12-year-old, according to police, and had translucent skin from not having been exposed to sunlight for years.…

Florida - Jonathan Wayne Glass is behind bars after his child drank Drano from a sippy cup inside a Florida home meth lab.
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened on Feb 20th, when an unsupervised child found a sippy cup in the bathroom of an apartment where meth was being produced. Thinking it contained juice, the child drank the drain cleaner and the reaction was immediate.
Police say that the people inside the apartment waited 30 minutes before trying to get help for the child, who was eventually transported to the hospital for treatment and remains in critical condition.
The reason why the Drano was being stored in a child’s sippy cup inside an apartment where a child resides is because it’s a common component used in the manufacture of meth, and Florida.
Jonathan Wayne Glass is being held in the Santa Rosa County Jail without bond. He’s been charged with one count of cruelty towards a child, abuse that causes great bodily harm or disability, three counts of possession of a harmful drug without a prescription, four counts of drug possession without a prescription, one count of opium or derivative trafficking and one count of possessing or using drug equipment.…

HANAHAN, SC – Court documents state 23-year-old Derek Stilson fractured his infant’s skull when he angrily threw the baby on the ground when he wouldn’t quit crying.
On February 21, Stilson called 911 to report his son wasn’t acting normal after telling the child’s mother that the infant rolled over and began having stroke-like symptoms.
“I don’t know how this…I’ve never seen this before,” Stilson says to a 911 dispatcher. “Are they going to take him to the hospital or something?”
EMS workers did just that, and doctors at Medical University of South Carolina discovered the baby’s skull was fractured and there was bleeding and swelling on his brain.
While being interviewed, Stilson would admit to Hanahan Police Department investigators that, two days prior, he threw his baby son on the floor because he could not stop him from crying.

OCALA, FL - Carron Washington is facing child abuse charges after feeding his 2-month-old baby bleach because he heard would cure the baby’s congestion.
According to police, the child was rushed to the hospital after her mother called 911 to report her baby had spit up a clear liquid that smelled like bleach.
Police were called by medical staff after they also noticed the baby’s vomit smelled like bleach, along with the baby’s formula.
“You smell the baby bottle and it smells like complete bleach.” the hospital employee tells the 911 dispatcher. “And the parents aren’t giving us a good story about how it got in there.”
When police questioned the child’s father, 20-year-old Carron Washington, they say he broke down crying and admitted he’d mixed less than a cap-full of bleach with less than two ounces of the baby’s formula.
He said that on Saturday night and Sunday morning, the baby was fussy, so at 1 a.m. Sunday, Washington put less than a cap-full of bleach with less than two ounces of the baby’s formula and then fed the child some of the formula.…

UK — Subhan Anwar, a man convicted of murdering 2-year-old Sanam Navsarka, was killed in prison after being held hostage by two other inmates at Long Lartin prison – and it couldn’t have happened to a more deserving guy.
Anwar was serving a minimum of 23 years at the prison after being convicted of torturing and murdering his girlfriend’s daughter in 2008. Sanam suffered a horrible, prolonged death at the hands of Subhan Anwar, with police discovering 107 separate injuries to her body. These included both of her thigh bones being fractured, which ultimately caused her death, and untreated fractures to both her arms.
Sanam’s tiny hand prints and bloodstains were found inside cupboards at the couple’s home, as well as a former home of the couple. During Anwar’s sentencing, Judge Peter Thornton QC said: “It is almost unbelievable the pain and anguish she must have suffered, not just once or twice, but repeatedly and persistently over weeks at your cruel and selfish hands.”
There’s not a lot of details regarding Anwar’s death, aside from reports that he was being held hostage by two other inmates before he was killed last Thursday night. ”The body of the man was found by prison officers just before 8pm on Thursday, February 14,” a West Mercia Police spokesman said. ”Two men aged 47 and 45 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in police custody.”
Anwar was not the only one held responsible for Sanam’s death.…

PORTSMOUTH, VA – Police in Portsmouth have charged 21-year-old Matthew Wayne Strawn with biting his 11-day-old son while the newborn was in an intensive care unit.
According to the reports, police officers were called to the Portsmouth Naval Medical Center on Feb. 1 for a report of possible abuse. Staff at the Naval Medical Center informed them that the newborn was with Strawn in a private hospital room away from the NICU so they could spend some time alone together and bond.
Sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., hospital staff said when they went into the room to check on Strawn and his son they noticed that the infant had visible contusions to his back and face. They immediately removed the newborn and called police.
After police interviewed Strawn, investigators believed he had bitten his son. Strawn was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of felony child abuse and one count of felonious assault. Strawn is currently free after being released from jail on a personal recognizance bond.
A restraining order was filed against Strawn, who works in an administrative position at the medical center, stating he is not allowed to get near his son.…

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Police have charged 25-year-old Chelsea Booth with the death of her daughter after finding the 2-year-old’s body in an Annapolis City waste transfer site.
Police spoke with Booth after her neighbors called to report they had not seen Booth’s daughter for days. Booth told the officers that the child was with her father, 28-year-old Antwan Nelson. However, when police spoke with Nelson, he told them that he’d not seen his daughter in several months.
After Booth and Nelson were brought in for police questioning, Booth told police that a “Muslim curse” had been placed on her daughter by the child’s father and that her daughter was possessed by an evil spirit. She said she had no choice but to murder the little girl by laying on top of her and smothering her until she stopped breathing.
Afterwards, Booth admitted she wrapped her daughter in a blanket and then tossed her into a dumpster at her apartment complex. Investigators were dispatched to a Waste Management Inc. center where they searched for the child’s body for hours, finally locating the it inside a rail car that was slated for a landfill in Virginia.…

Kansas City, MO - An emaciated, developmentally disabled 17 year old boy was discovered handcuffed to a steel pole in a basement Monday where he had apparently been since being pulled out of school by his father last September.
Police responded to the home on Monday on a tip made from a neighbor on a child abuse hotline. A woman answered the door when police arrived and stated she lived there with her husband and 17 year old stepson. When asked where the stepson was, she said he was downstairs sleeping in his room. She offered to go get him, but the officers requested to go down there themselves.
Their first clue that shit was terribly, terribly wrong was that as soon as their footsteps echoed on the basement stairs, they heard a voice from the basement saying, “I didn’t do anything, I didn’t do anything, I didn’t do anything,” according to Officer Jonathan Stone’s report. Commerce, CA – U.S. postal worker Daniel Villasenor, 55, was arrested after allegedly choking an 11-year-old girl who laughed at him for mistakenly entering the women’s restroom at a local park Monday.
While in uniform and driving a U.S. Postal Service vehicle, police say, Villasenor arrived at Bristow Park that evening and asked the girl where the bathrooms were located.
It was then that Villasenor apparently wandered into the woman’s room, causing the child and her friend to erupt with laughter.
A presumably red-faced Villasenor quickly visited the men’s room, and when he exited, found the girl was still tittering.
According to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office, Villasenor then chased the girl into the women’s room, and began choking her inside a supply room adjacent to the restroom before two city workers told him to stop.
“He got angry and pushed the 11-year-old child, and then grabbed her by the neck and the collar in what appeared to be a choking motion to the witnesses,” said L.A. County Sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Scott.…
