Police were called to the scene where Berry was pronounced dead at the scene. Robertson was still at the scene when police arrived and was taken into custody.

For those of you who may have missed this horrible story from August, Victoria Martens was killed on her 10th birthday and her dismembered remains were found wrapped in a smoldering blanket inside her family’s apartment.
Investigators would learn that Victoria’s mother, 35-year-old Michelle Martens, would solicit men to have sex with her daughter for her own sexual gratification. These men would include co-workers and men she met online.
One of these men she met online, 32-year-old Fabian Gonzales, raped Victoria before he strangled her to death as Martens watched. Back in July, 41-year-old Sara Packer went to police to report her adopted daughter, 14-year-old Grace Packer, had run away from home after an argument. She explained she had done this before and that on this occasion, she had taken $300 from the home.

In November, Packer was charged with hindering attempts to find her daughter and later released on bail.
On October 31, hunters would find a head and torso in the woods and called police.…
According to reports, a 16-year-old girl was babysitting a two week old infant when she accidentally burned her.
While giving the infant a bath in the sink under running water, she accidentally turned off the cold water instead of the hot water.
The girl’s mother called the infant’s parents, 25-year-old Patric Eddy and 26-year-old Candace Mercedes, to inform them of what happened.
The couple arrived and took the child home, telling them they were too high on meth to take the child to the hospital right away.
The mother of the babysitter visited the couple’s home the following day to check on the baby and found the infant crying in the bed next to her sleeping parents.
The woman told police the baby was suffering from an “awful” burn on her abdomen and had a diaper full of urine and feces.
The woman woke up Matthews who agreed to let her take the baby to the hospital.…
According to police, Crystal Herrera waited three hours after giving the child a bath and noticing blood before calling 911 to report the girl had been mauled by a dog.
When police arrived at the scene, Herrera’s boyfriend, 23-year-old Isaac Cardenas, told them the girl had wandered out of the house in the middle of the night and had been mauled by dogs.
However, once at the hospital it was clear that the injuries the child was suffering from did not come from dogs, as she had multiple stab wounds to her genitals
Police say the girl had life threatening injuries consistent with sexual assault, including stab wounds on her upper body and private parts that were “non-accidental.”
She also suffered ‘acute respiratory failure’ and will have to undergo re-constructive surgery to repair her injuries. The injuries were so bad that seasoned officers are calling it one of the worst cases they’ve ever seen.…
Police were making a welfare check at a home Monday afternoon after 40-year-old Sheri Shermeyer made a disturbing post on Facebook to her husband.
The entire post can be read below (it is scathing), but in the message she expresses her unhappiness with the way her husband, John, treated her and their son, as well as his drinking.
In the message she flat out tells him he would never see his son again and that he doesn’t deserve a son to carry on his name. She also tells him she hopes he drinks himself to death thinking about all he had lost.
“Hope I don’t see you in Hell,” she tells him near the end of the message. This message, as you can imagine, is what had someone call police to check on her and her son.…
Police were called to the home of a couple after someone went inside to check on the family that had not been seen or heard from in a week.
Once inside, they found 27-year-old Jason Chambers and 19-year-old Chelsea Cardaro dead from heroin overdoses. Chambers was on the first floor while Cardaro was found in a second-floor bathroom.
But they got off lucky compared to their 5-month-old daughter, Summer Chambers. She was found dead in a bassinet after suffering “three to four days” of dehydration and starvation.
Officials believe the family has been dead for a week. Neighbors last saw the family Dec. 11, and thought they had taken a planned trip to New York.
“It’s an unfortunate incident where they both possibly overdosed at the same time – and being from out of town, not having anybody in town,” said Johnstown police Capt. Chad Miller. “It was too long for anybody to notice that they were missing.”
This isn’t the first time police had been to the home on an overdose call.…
It happened on Sunday when the boys’ teenage sister came home and found them injured and crying. When she asked what happened, they informed her that their mother, 36-year-old Sascha Collins, had beat the crap out of them.

The boys told responding officers that Collins hit them with a belt buckle, threw them against a wall and bit one of them. Police noted that both boys were suffering injuries that corroborated their story.
The sister told police that her mother was an alcoholic who snorts Hydrocodone. She also added that when her mother gets mad that she repeatedly calls one of the boys, who is mentally disabled, retarded.…

On Friday, police were called to a hospital to investigate a child abuse call after two infants were brought to an Owasso Urgent Care suffering from extreme malnutrition.
A tearful nurse told the officer that one of the children looked like a skeleton and had severe diaper rash, bedsores, feces in her ear.
Even worse, while the infant was being evaluated by medical staff, a maggot crawled out of the infant’s vagina.
The other infant was extremely skinny, had a major diaper rash, bed sores, and a hair was wrapped around her finger so tight it had gotten infected and skin was growing over it.
When officers interviewed the children’s parents, Kevin Fowler and Aislyn Miller, they said they are “new parents” and not used to taking care of infants.
Miller said they were aware of some of the medical issues the infants were suffering, but that they do not have health insurance and cannot afford the medical bills.…
Authorities began investigating 28-year-old Kaitlin Plascjak after receiving a cyber-tip in August that led them to her mobile home where she lives with her mother.
According to the criminal complaint, Skype reported someone with the username kaleidoscopickittie was uploading suspected child pornography and provided them with the user’s IP address.
This led investigators to the mobile home Plascjak shared with her mother. A search of her computer and cellphone yielded hundreds of images and videos depicting “infants, toddlers and preteens exposing themselves” as well as “infants being sexually assaulted.”
Police said Plascjak admitted to owning the child porn and that she once had more than they found. She said she deleted it before she underwent surgery because she didn’t want anyone to find it if something went wrong.
Plascjak told police “she has no children and viewing child pornography is a coping mechanism for her because she was molested when she was younger.”
Police arrested Plascjak and charged her with disseminating child pornography, possessing child pornography and criminal use of a communications facility.…
According to police, 44-year-old Etter Hughes moved from Arkansas to the rat-infested apartment of 47-year-old Mary Martinez, a woman she had met in prison.
Hughes brought along her 13-year-old son and the two younger sons of her cousin, who was moving to Wisconsin at a later time.
Almost immediately after moving in, 7-year-old Trevion and his 9-year-old brother suffered beatings at the hands of Martinez, and were routinely denied food.
Investigators say Martinez would kick them in the head, punch them in the back, burn them with cigarettes and whip them with electrical cords. Police say that at no time during this abuse did Hughes intervene.
That changed last week when Trevion was found unresponsive with his eyes were rolling back into his head.
When Martinez saw the boy’s condition, she allegedly told Etter she and the boys needed to get out of her house and to drop Trevion off in the woods.…
Lateekqua Jackson said she went to City Springs Elementary School to pick her son up after school and found the boy crying in an ambulance. Trayvon’s face was bruised and swollen, and he was missing a couple teeth.
His tutor, 25-year-old Timothy Randall Korr, was also there and had blood on his clothes. When she asked him what happened, he told her the boy was injured as he was escorting him to the office for being disruptive in class.
“The teacher told me that he put him over his shoulder, and when he put him down he was bleeding,” Jackson said. “He said he made a mistake. He said, ‘I made a mistake. It was a mistake.'”
But Korr told police a slightly different story. He said as he was carrying Trayvon out of the classroom, he lost his footing, and Trayvon hit himself on the wall.…
Robert Burnette, 19, was arrested earlier this month after police say he caused serious physical injury and head trauma to his 6-week-old son by violently shaking him, slamming him into a bed face first, and shoving his fingers down the baby’s throat.
The baby’s mother, 20-year-old Megan Hendricks, was also arrested because she witnessed the abuse — which occurred between Oct. 18 and Nov. 7 — but did not seek help.
During an interview with police, she said she was afraid of Burnette, but showed no remorse over the condition of her son who she repeatedly referred to as “the kid.” Police say she cried during her interview, but when once the interviewer left the room she immediately stopped and showed only anger and disdain.
Both were originally charged with felony child abuse or neglect, but those charges have been upgraded against Burnette after the baby died on Monday.…
Police were called to Riley Hospital by staff who suspected one of their teenage patients was being abused by his mother, 41-year-old Tiffany Alberts.
According to reports, Albert’s 15-year-old son was being treated for leukemia but was exhibiting several unexplainable infections.
They said several days after his first cancer treatment, he returned to the hospital because he had a fever, diarrhea and vomiting. He spent 18 days in the ICU and doctors determined the infection the teen was experience was the result of bacteria in his blood normally found in feces.
Hospital staff placed a surveillance camera in the boy’s room and after capturing his mother injecting an unknown substance into her son’s IV bag on several occasions, they called police.
When questioned, Alberts said she was just injecting water into the IV to help flush the line because the “medicine that was given to him burned.” After further questioning, she finally admitted that she injected fecal matter into the bag on multiple occasions.…
