Bakersfield, CA — Two teenagers have been charged with animal cruelty after police say they attempted to bury a puppy alive by the side of the road.
Luckily, a woman witnessed the two boys, ages 15 and 17, hitting one of three puppies with a stick and then bury it in a hole they had dug on the side of the road. After calling 911, she went to confront the boys who ran away leaving all three puppies behind. The 8-week-old pit bull mix was able to free itself from its intended grave.
(Stupid kids. Everyone knows that in order to kill a pit bull you need bury it alive in hallowed ground accompanied by a priest and a lot of luck.)
The 17-year-old eventually returned to the scene and the 15-year-old showed up shortly after with a parent in tow. The parent stated they had no idea what the boys were up to, but after a little investigating it turns out the boys owned the puppies but decided to kill them because they were having problems discipling them.…

HAYWARD, Calif. – I have no idea why I have not heard of 26-year-old Michelle Hoang Thi Le until today. It goes against everything I thought I knew about pretty girls going missing.
Le vanished from Kaiser Hospital on May 27 after telling classmates she was going out to the parking garage to get some things. Her car was eventually located on the street a few blocks away, but Le hasn’t been heard from since. Her family put up a website and offered a reward of $65,000 for Le’s safe return.
On Monday, police revealed that the “safe” part is probably not possible and will now investigate her disappearance as a homicide. They believe Le was murdered in the Kaiser Hospital garage where her car was parked and that it was not a random attack, that the killer targeted her.
Capt. Darryl McAllister told reporters they came to this conclusion after performing a forensic examination of Michelle’s car and the area of the parking structure where it was parked, as well as information they got from interviews with friends, family and persons of interest.…

WILLIAMSTON, S.C. – I was surprised this when I found this was not out of Florida, but then not surprised to see it comes from South Carolina. A man has been arrested after biting off part of his girlfriend’s ear during an argument and losing his teeth in the process.
Police say 50-year-old Tony Ellison and his girlfriend, Yolanda Smith, were arguing over money when Ellison latched on to Smith’s ear and only let go when she started screaming like a banshee. She ran to a friend’s house missing about 20 percent of her ear.
Ellison was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and battery. While in court for his bond hearing, Capt. James Grubbs said Ellison admitted to biting off part of his girlfriend’s ear as well as losing his teeth. “(Ellison) told the judge at that time, something to the effect of, yeah, he remembered (biting Smith’s ear), but something about his teeth falling out during that particular incident,” said Grubbs.
Doctors were not able to do much with Smith’s ear, as they never found the missing piece.…

LOUISVILLE, KY – A mother has been charged with murdering her 12-year-old son after she admitted to beating him for hours after he took her pain pills.
On Friday, 29-year-old Tasha Parsons admitted in a police interview that after her 12-year-old son, Devin Parsons, stole her meds and would not tell her where they were, she beat the poor kid for hours using her hands, feet, a belt and even a metal tray.
The boy would lose unconsciousness sometime later Friday morning, but police would not be called to the residence until that afternoon. Parsons would also tell police that her boyfriend, 30-year-old Waldo L. Jones, also took part in the beatings.
Jones, who has been living with the family for about a year, denied having any involvement in the actual beating, explaining the reason why he had the boy’s blood on his clothes was because he had tried to intervene a couple times and even helped clean some of the boy’s wounds. Even if he’s telling the truth, he did not get help for the boy, leaving the house when the boy became unresponsive and telling friends that there was a dead boy at his house.…

MILTON, Ga. – A man has been arrested and charged with fatally shooting the mother of his two kids during a child custody exchange.
Police say 25-year-old Christopher Erdman shot and killed 25-year-old Shannon Lawrence after meeting her in a Wells Fargo Bank parking lot at around 2 p.m. Sunday. A man nearby heard several gunshots and called police. Officers would find Lawrence’s car, four shell casings on the pavement, and a pool of blood.
As they began trying to find the owner of the car, they received a call from a hospital. Erdman had pulled up to their location with Lawrence in the back of his pickup truck. Erdman was apprehended, but it was too late for Lawrence. She had died from being shot four times in her (very attractive) face and neck.
The children are now safe, but police say it is likely the 3-year-old and 1-year-old witnessed the murder of their mother. Milton Police Captain Shane McCarty told Channel 2 Action News that “indications now is that (the shooting) was in front of the children.”
Lawrence had a protective order against Erdman stemming from him continually sending her threatening and intimidating e-mails and texts after their breakup.…

QUINCY, Ill. – Parents of two juveniles were arrested and charged with child endangerment after police say they abandoned their two kids on the side of the road.
On Monday, police found two juveniles walking down the road at 2:30 in the morning. The kids told police that their parents, Sue and Michael Bence, had been too drunk to drive earlier so one of the juveniles had been driving the family vehicle when they got into an argument with their mother.
Sue (seen here doing her best Meg Mucklebones impression) ordered her daughter to pull the car over and then made both of her kids get out before she and her husband drove off, leaving them standing there. An hour later, Sue and Michael were arrested at their home 20 miles away.
The couple were each charged with child endangerment, but Sue was also charged with domestic battery, driving under the influence and driving while license was suspended. She remained in jail while Michael (seen here rockin’ the Billy Ray mullet and Magnum ‘stache) was released after posting bond.…

DENVER, CO – Police need your helping finding the man accused of abducting an 8-year-old girl last Thursday then sexually assaulting her before dropping her off at a gas station.
The girl was with her 11-year-old friend trying to catch a chihuahua that had gotten loose from its yard. They chased the dog into an alley where they met a man in a white van. He called the kids over to help him put something in a dumpster, but ended up throwing the girl into the van instead before reversing out of the alley.
Her friend ran away and notified his babysitter what had happened who then notified police. For almost two hours there were no signs of the girl until she was dropped off at a gas station three miles from where she had been taken. June 6, 2011 at 10:45 am by Morbid
MILWAUKEE, WI — Police say a woman was driving drunk when she rolled her SUV on I-94 with eleven children inside the vehicle.
The crash happened on Saturday after the 32-year-old woman crashed into a guard rail and rolled the vehicle on to its roof. She had eleven kids inside the vehicle at the time, ranging from ages 2 to 17. You read that right. Eleven.
The woman, mother of seven of the kids, was arrested on the scene after admitting to drinking alcohol prior to the crash and failing a field sobriety test. It was reported her blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit.
Unbelievably no one died in the rollover, even though the majority of the kids couldn’t have possibly been secured, although five of the kids were taken to the hospital. The six remaining kids were turned over to relatives.
In addition to the OWI charges for causing injury with a child under 16, police also want to charge the woman with felony recklessly endangering safety for turning the Dodge Durango into a clown car.…

Jacksonville, FL – What a tragic story in almost every way imaginable. A 12-year-old boy in Florida has been charged with murder, accused of beating his 2-year-old half-brother to death.
There isn’t a lot of details being released in regards to the actual murder. Reports are that the mother of the two boys, 25-year-old Biannela Susana, came home to find 2-year-old David Galarriago unconscious. She cleaned him up and put ice on his head hoping her son would revive on his own. When that didn’t happen two hours later, she finally called 911 and then drove him to the hospital where he would die a few days later.
On Thursday, 12-year-old Cristian Fernandez (mugshot), the victim’s half-brother, was indicted on first-degree murder charges. Prosecutors say he beat his brother to death. Susana was charged with negligent manslaughter for her decision to wait so long to call for help. Doctors say that had she sought immediate medical treatment for her toddler, he very well may be alive today. There’s also the fact that this isn’t the first time the boy was injured by his older brother.…

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Police have charged a couple with endangerment after they say the pair left their baby in the backseat of a hot car while they visited a strip club.
On Tuesday night, police responded to a call of a baby trapped in the backseat of a car in the parking lot of the Deja Vu strip club. There they found an infant covered in sweat in the backseat of a car. The heat index at the time was 91 degrees.
It was at that time the child’s mother, 43-year-old Laura Diprimo, came running out of the club, jumped in the car and rolled down the windows. The baby’s father, Thomas W. Lee, 28, walked out of the club shortly afterward, sporting an ankle bracelet he was ordered to wear while on home incarceration. The couple had been drinking inside the club for 10 to 15 minutes.
Police arrested the couple and charged them with wanton endangerment. A charge the couple are disputing. While in court, both denied they’d done anything wrong. Lee told the judge, “I would never do that to my baby boy, I love him.” And Diprimo said, “I am not guilty of this either…I did not leave my son in the car.”
This is the second charge of child neglect for Lee.…

June 3, 2011 at 1:11 pm by Morbid
Orlando, Florida – Thirteen floors beneath the Casey Anthony sideshow, another trial involving the death of a toddler has ended with 32-year-old Amanda Brumfield, the estranged daughter of Billy Bob Thorton, being convicted of aggravated manslaughter in the death of her 1-year-old goddaughter.
Back in October 2008, Brumfield was charged with murder after her best friend’s baby, Olivia Madison Garcia, died in her care. The baby would die after suffering a 3.5-inch fracture of her skull and bleeding on the brain. Brumfield would tell investigators that the injury was caused by the girl trying to climb out of her crib and falling.
She said after the fall, she noticed the girl had a minor mouth injury so she cleaned that up before feeding her bananas. After painting the girl’s toenails she laid on the couch and placed the girl on the floor beside her. When she woke up later and found the girl limp and unresponsive, she called 911. The call was placed two hours after the “fall” and in it you can hear Brumfield administering CPR to Olivia while her husband receives medical instructions from the dispatcher.…

SMICKSBURG, Pa. – An Amish woman has died in a bizarre laundry accident, suffering a fate I would not wish upon my worst enemy.
Coroner Michael Baker said Ella D. Miller, 32, died Wednesday morning after suffering severe thermal burns. She got the burns on Monday morning while doing the laundry.
As most of you know, the make good portable fireplaces, but they do not use the Devil’s technology, so after using her octopus dishwasher and scrubbing the floors with her porcupine brush, Miller started doing her laundry by heating some water in a large metal kettle with a wood fire underneath it.
In order to speed things along, her husband says she tried putting kerosene on the fire. The result was an explosion that caught her clothes on fire resulting in the poor woman being burned over almost her entire body. If that weren’t bad enough, she was not taken to the doctor. Friends and family attempt home remedies until she finally (mercifully) passed away on Wednesday.
Police are investigating the incident, but Baker syas there are no signs of foul play.…

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A mother in Florida has been charged with attempting an extreme, late-term abortion after driving her car into a house with her kids in the backseat.
Home surveillance cameras capture a Ford Mustang driven by 46-year-old Jane Gonzalez turn into the driveway of a vacant house then backed out, stop and pull back in. She repeats this several times before gunning the car into the house. Detectives say before the collision she told her son and daughter, ages 7 and 10, to remove their seatbelts.
Luckily the kid’s were not seriously injured in the crash, her son suffered a small laceration on his upper lip and her daughter was left with a bruise on her chest. Witnesses did say that after the crash, the two kids were hysterical. This wasn’t helped by their mother who slapped an arriving officer and tried to grab his gun. She was arrested and charged with attempted murder, child abuse and battery.
These kids sure got shafted in the parent department. A mother who tries to kill them, and a father who just spent some time in jail on domestic violence charges after allegedly punching his wife in the back of the head over the weekend.…

Houston, TX – A woman has been arrested after police say she got angry at her 10-year-old daughter and burned her face with a clothes iron.
Hope Adele Askew, 42, was ironing clothes when she became angry with her daughter for not reading words correctly in a book. Askew decided that the best technique for correcting her daughter was to brand her. Police say she used the hot iron to burn the girl on the left side of her face. Twice.
This left a large imprint of the iron on her face that Askew did not feel needed medical attention. While she was at school, the nurse there noticed the girl’s injuries. When she asked Askew how her daughter got the burns, Askew informed her it was accidental, caused by a hot skillet — shaped like an iron? I’m assuming the nurse doubted Askew’s explanation as she was reportedly the one who notified Child Protective Services.
Askew was arrested and charged with injury to a child. She is free after posting a $10,000 bond.…

June 3, 2011 at 12:19 pm by Morbid
WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Here’s a story that plays out like a scene from a horror movie. A man breaks into a home while a mother and son cower in a closet, the entire incident captured on a 911 call.
Teresa Middleton was outside of her home when she noticed a suspicious man staring at her from across the street. She felt uneasy so she went inside and locked her front fddoor. Shortly after, the man was trying to kick in that door. Middleton grabbed her teenage son and retreated into a closet inside a second floor bedroom. She then called 911.
You can listen to the call by clicking here, but if for some reason you cannot play the file, here’s a transcript from thedenverchannel.com:
Continue Reading“He’s getting in now! …Hurry! Hurry, he’s getting in,” the woman said on the 911 tape.
“Ma’am, we’ve dispatched officers,” the dispatcher said. “I’m just keeping you on the phone, OK?”
The woman relayed to the dispatcher as the man kicked in the garage door.…
BRECKSVILLE, OH – Here’s an odd one. A 21-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with spraying pepper spray into the faces of at least three children in an Ohio playground.
Police were initially responding to reports that a 4-year-old child was assaulted at the Kids Quarters playground, but when they arrived they found that three children had been sprayed with pepper spray by 21-year-old Laura Molnar.
Witnesses say they saw Molnar running away after spraying the 4-year-old in the face. One parent was there with his granddaughter when he heard the boy’s screams. ”I didn’t think it was pepper spray at first, looked like acid,” he said. “It was a blister on his face, his whole face bright red, it was horrible, absolutely horrible.”
I feel for the kid. I have been sprayed with pepper spray twice. Once indirectly, but once full-on in the face. Got in both eyes and I even swallowed some. It stopped me dead in my tracks and for a few seconds I thought I was on fire. It was absolutely excruciating to me.…

OSTEEN, Fla. – An 8-year-old boy may face an aggravated battery charge after he went nuts and stabbed a teacher with a pencil.
The boy was in an after-school program in the cafeteria of Osteen Elementary School when he began running around screaming like an idiot. When the teacher, 47-year-old Kelleen Long, approached the boy he grabbed a pencil and began moving towards another student.
When Long stepped in to protect the other student, the 8-year-old turned on her and attempted to stab her in the face with the pencil. Long was able to shield her face but was stabbed in the forearm, leaving lead lodged inside her. The boy then dropped to the ground.
Long did not require medical attention, but according to deputies she does want to file charges against the boy. His mother was called to the school to calm him down and explained that while he was not on any medication, her son was taking fish oil to help with his anger issues.
I’m thinking maybe it’s time she introduces the boy to handfuls of Valium…or possibly a dog crate.…

Suffolk, VA – How about a couple stories dealing with my favorite subject, psycho kids. Starting with a 12-year-old in Virginia who has been charged with animal cruelty after beating the snot out of a kitten.
Police say some kids were playing with a 7-week-old kitten when the 12-year-old grabbed it, threw it up against a wall and then began hitting the kitten with a stick. When he pulled out a knife and said he was going to cut the kitten, police say another kid approached him and smacked the knife out of his hand.
The kids placed the kitten in a box because they thought it was dead, not realizing cats are from the deepest bowels of Hell and cannot be mortally wounded by a human. When an Animal Control officer found the kitten, it seemed unresponsive, but opened its eyes and ‘meowed’ when he picked it up.
The kitten was treated for a broken leg and bruised lungs and will be available for adoption this Friday. If you’re interested, call the shelter at (757) 514-7855. The 12-year-old was charged with one count of misdemeanor cruelty.…

Milwaukee, WI – Two teen brothers got themselves in a bit of trouble after they went on an early morning joyride that ended with them crashing into the side of a police station.
The boys had taken their parent’s truck without their permission when at around 2:40 a.m. Sunday morning, the 17-year-old driver lost control of the truck and took out two light poles before coming to a stop against the side of the District 3 police station.
The driver, who only had a learner’s permit, was not injured but his brother had some minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. The truck was totaled. Police say the teens had been smoking weed before the crash.
I know that this isn’t that big of a deal in comparison to some of the stuff we feature on the site. Hell, I did much worse than these two when I was a teen — although I always made it a point to stay away from police stations — but I was amazed at the parent’s reaction to their boy’s activities.…
