Jessica Heeringa Disappeared From Late Night Shift at Gas Station, Police Asking For Public’s Help

NORTON SHORES, MI – Police are asking for the public’s help in finding 25-year-old Jessica Heeringa, an Exxon Mobil gas station attendant believed to have been abducted from her job.

Heeringa made her last sale at 11 p.m. Friday night, but 15 minutes later a concerned customer called police to report there were no employee at the open gas station.

According to Heeringa’s mother, her daughter’s purse and keys were found in the store and their was evidence she had been preparing to close up the store.

“She was going to get out in 15 minutes,” Shelly Heeringa, Jessica’s mother, told ABC News. “In 15 minutes that store would’ve been closed and she would’ve been on her way home.”

Norton Shores Police Chief Daniel Shaw said it does not appear robbery was the motive, as the store’s cash drawer was left untouched.

There are no surveillance cameras at the gas station, which I bet won’t be the case for much longer, so police are asking for the public’s help.

Norton Shores Police Department have received one tip that has investigators searching for a silver minivan, possibly a Chrysler Town & Country, that was last seen in the area prior to Heeringa’s disappearance.…

Police Looking For Person Who Stabbed 8-Year-Old Leila Fowler To Death

VALLEY SPRINGS, CA – Calaveras County sheriff’s deputies are searching for the man who broke into a home and repeatedly stabbed 8-year-old Leila Fowler to death.

Leila Fowler’s 12-year-old brother told police that around noon on Saturday he encountered a white or Hispanic male inside his home. When the man fled, the boy went to check on Leila and found that she had been stabbed multiple times.

He called 911, but Leila was later pronounced dead at hospital. “She was suffering from some severe injuries,” said Cpt. Jim Macedo.

A neighbor told police they saw the same man running from the home, leading police to setup a search perimeter in an effort to catch the suspect described as being 6 feet tall and muscular, with long white or gray hair, and wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and blue pants.

Residents were told the man is considered armed and dangerous and were informed by police to lock their doors as deputies searched the area. “We were doing a house-to-house search and in some cases were searching attics and storages.…

Here, Now – First off, thanks to everyone who took 90 minutes out of their Friday night to participate in last night’s Pulpit of Doom podcast. Because of slackness mis-communication, I found myself conducting the podcast very alone and very drunk on Kraken black spiced rum.

While I loath podcasting solo, I put on my big boy pants and decided to soldier on – while drinking 3x faster than normal. I think it came out ok, but I’ll let you be the judge of that. Aside from me going on some drunken rants concerning  Christianity in 2013, and people who kill someone while driving under the influence, I slurred through the top 10 stories circulating on the site for the week.

These stories included pissing in coffee pots, losing two kids because of Bible verses, killing someone while driving under the influence, giving the dog a bone, the dangers of snorting chemicals ordered off the Internet, the dangers of dating a sociopath, kids spiking babies into a cribs, and starving kids to the point they eat their own shit.…

David Smith Accused Of Setting Father On Fire After Argument Over Loud Music

Oklahoma City, OK – David Smith has been accused of setting his father on fire because he was angry that his father asked him to turn down his music.

Police responding to a house on Monday found a 60-year-old man being treated by paramedics for burn injuries on his face and legs. The man told police he and his son, 38-year-old David Smith, got into an argument when he asked his son to turn down his music on a stereo. David, ever the loser, responded by turning up the volume and throwing his stereo remote at his father.

He then went to the kitchen to retrieve a gas can, poured gasoline on his father, then threw a cigarette lighter on him, causing him to catch on fire. A woman, possibly the victim’s wife, was in the house when the incident occurred and backed up the man’s story.

“All I saw was fire somebody walking in fire and it was my husband,” said the victim’s wife, Tammy Smith. “He couldn’t get the cloths off fast enough.”

The victim was taken to the hospital suffering from serious burns to his his hand, arms, stomach, back of his legs and his ankles.…

Tyler Hadley Pleads Insanity After Beating His Parents To Death With A Hammer

Port St. Lucie, FL — Tyler Hadley, the teen accused of beating his parents to death with a hammer then threw a party, has filed a notice declaring he will rely on an insanity plea in his upcoming trial.

For those of you who do not remember this psycho and what he did to his parents, let me refresh your memory. According to Hadley’s best friend, Michael Mandell, the teen had repeatedly talked about killing his parents, 47-year-old Mary Jo Hadley and 54-year-old Blake Hadley, but no one took him seriously until July 16, 2011.

That’s when Hadley sent out Facebook invitations to a party he was throwing at his house. ”Party at my crib tonight … maybe,” he posted on Facebook at 1:15 p.m. July 16, about four hours before the homicides. He updated at 8:15 p.m.: “Party at my house, hmu (“hit me up” or “contact me”).”

During this party, Hadley told his best friend that he’d killed his parents earlier that day. Not believing him, Hadley took Mandell to his parents bedroom where Mandell could see the legs of Hadley’s father sticking out from underneath a pile of household items.…

Luis Soltero Admitted To Beating His Girlfriend To Death With A Dumbbell

Tempe, AZ – Luis Soltero has been charged with murder after walking into an Arizona police department and admitting he had murdered his girlfriend, 19-year-old ASU student Rebecca ‘Becky’ Kasper.

On Tuesday morning, 22-year-old Luis Soltero walked into a Tempe Police Department substation, handed an officer his ID card and Kasper’s driver’s license, then said: “My girlfriend is there and she is dead, and I am not going to tell you anything more without an attorney,”‘ according to the court papers.

He then stated he felt dizzy after spending 12 hours in his running car inside a storage space. While he was taken to the hospital, police went to the home he shared with Kasper to verify his claims. After forcing open the door, they found Kasper dead in a blood-splattered bathroom.

According to court documents, the 19-year-old’s decaying body was in a bathtub covered with blankets and a yoga mat, with coffee grounds and baking soda sprinkled on top. Her ankles and hands were bound, and her head was covered with a plastic bag.…

Toddler Mauled To Death By Family Pit Bull

Fulton County, GA – I had hoped there wouldn’t be any pit bull stories circulating this week, as I am tired of talking about them on our podcast, but a 2-year-old in Georgia was mauled to death by his family’s pit bull.

The attack happened shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday inside the boy’s home, when his mother went inside the bathroom. That’s when the family’s pit bull, owned by the mother for about eight years, decided to kill the toddler for reasons unknown.

“She advised it happened fast,” Parker said. “It was an obvious death once the mother came out of the restroom.”

A neighbor reported he heard the child’s mother after she ran outside of the home and rolled around on the ground screaming, “‘The dog killed the baby! The dog killed the baby!”

The dog remained inside the home for a couple of hours after the attack, possibly inside a bathroom. Animal control employees eventually removed the dog from the home and transported it to a shelter where it will be observed for several days.…

Amanda Cantwell Accused Of Fish-hooking Man Who Refused To Have Sex

CHARLESTON, SC – Police have arrested 27-year-old Amanda Cantwell, accusing her of attacking her boyfriend after he refused to have sex with her.

Officers responding to a domestic disturbance call detained Cantwell after observing her running from an apartment.

Inside the apartment they found Cantwell’s 33-year-old boyfriend who told them Cantwell attacked him after he refused to have sex with her.

She allegedly slapped him on the head, jumped on his back and put her fingers in his mouth, clawing the inside of his cheeks. He said that after he managed to get Cantwell off of his back, he called police.

Cantwell had a different story. She told police that they had been drinking all day and got into a verbal dispute. Cantwell said that’s when her boyfriend attacked her. She scratched the inside of is mouth in self-defense when he began choking her.

After noting she had no visible injuries, and her boyfriend had visible scratches inside his mouth, police arrested Amanda Cantwell and charged her with criminal domestic violence.…

Kurtis Peterson Sentenced To Prison For Repeatedly Having Sex With Dogs

MUSKEGON, MI – Kurtis Peterson, a convicted sex offender found guilty of having sex with dogs, was sentenced to state prison for between one to 15 years after a judge went above state sentencing guidelines to keep the community safe from the repeat offender.

Peterson, 37, was first accused of having sex with a dog in April 2010 at his apartment, when a woman witnessed Peterson on his bed naked, kneeling behind his blue heeler. Peterson claimed he was “just playing with the dog” but had gotten an erection after accidental making contact with the dog’s rear.

Any benefit of doubt he was given went out the window when the same woman caught him having sex with yet another dog in June, when she walked in on Peterson having sex with a white pit bull on his living room floor. This time he was arrested and charged with “the abominable and detestable crime against nature,” also known as sodomy or bestiality.

Charged as a fourth-time habitual offender, Peterson pleaded no contest to the charges in March.…

Aaron Ramsey Sentenced To Life In Prison For Starving His Son To Death

Dallas, TX – Aaron Ramsey, the 35-year-old man who starved his 10-year-old son to death, has been found guilty by a Dallas County jury and was sentenced to life in prison.

If you don’t remember the death of Jonathan Ramsey, let me refresh your memory and quite possibly ruin your morning.

Back in 2011, police began looking into the disappearance of Jonathan Ramsey after the child’s grandfather contacted them, concerned that the boy had not been seen in almost a year.

Police questioned the boy’s father, Aaron Ramsey, and his 31-year-old stepmother, Elizabeth Ramsey. Eventually they would admit that the boy was dead and that Aaron had disposed of his body in an unknown location.

According to Elizabeth, she and Aaron began starving the Jonathan in March 2011 after the boy allegedly punched her in the stomach while she was pregnant with triplets, supposedly causing her to lose the babies.

That’s when Aaron locked Johnathan in a bedroom and only fed him bread, water, and occasionally milk. Jonathan went from 90-pounds to 60-pounds and, according to the affidavit, he was so hungry that he ate his own feces.…

One Teen Dead, Another In Hospital After Snorting Synthetic Drug Bought Online

FREDERICKSBURG, TX – After snorting some 25c-NBOMe, a synthetic hallucinogenic that can be bought online, 16-year-old Sam Herrera died from cardiac arrest and 17-year-old James Jarreau ended up recouping in the hospital.

According to Fredericksburg Police Lt. Steve Wetz, a teen who lives at the home where the boys ingested the drug told investigators he watched Herrera and Jarreau snort the white powder at around 1:30 a.m Saturday.

An hour later, the two boys were hallucinating, yelling at each other and being destructive. The owner of the home woke up and called 911, but by the time emergency responders arrived, Herrera was unconscious.

“When we got there the Herrera subject was unconscious and the other one was hallucinating strongly,” Wetz said.

Both teens were taken to the hospital where Herrera was pronounced dead from cardiac arrest. Jarreau was in critical condition, but by Monday his condition was upgraded to stable.

Wetz said the boys bought the drug from another student at Fredericksburg High School, who had purchased the drug off the Internet. Some of the drug was recovered at the home and sent to a lab for testing.…

Heather Hampton Accused Of Biting Child, Stepping On Toddler

Conway, SC – Police have charged 35-year-old heather Hampton with unlawful neglect of a child after they say she was drunk when she got into a fight with her two sons and ended up biting one child while stepping on another.

According to police, Hampton was intoxicated Saturday night when she began arguing with an 11-year-old boy that got so heated that police were called to the home.

When police arrived, they found the 11-year-old was sporting visible injuries, including bite marks on his head, neck and face. A 2-year-old boy was also there and had a scratch on his shoulder and chin.

The older boy told police Hampton was responsible for his injuries and that she’d also knocked over and stepped on the toddler. Hampton, who police noted had the smell of alcohol on her breath, was arrested and charged with two counts of unlawful neglect of a child.

The S.C. Department of Social Services arrived at the home and arranged a temporary place for the two boys to stay. As of Monday, Hampton was still in custody at the J Reuben Long Detention Center on a $20,000 bail.…

Jennifer Respicio, 14, Accused Of Murdering Her Infant Son

DEL CITY, OK – Police have arrested 14-year-old Jennifer Respicio, accusing her of murdering her 7-month-old son.

Jaiden Respicio was taken by ambulance to OU Children’s Hospital Sunday morning where he was pronounced dead. Police say doctors told them the traumatic internal injuries Jaiden suffered were consistent with abuse.

When Jennifer Respicio was questioned by police, she admitted she was the one that caused the injuries to her son. She was arrested and charged with first degree murder.

Jaiden was actually in the custody of his grandmother, Jennifer’s mother, but she had to work on Sunday and left Jennifer to care for her son, along with her 15-year-old boyfriend. Police Capt. Jody Suit said the father of the boy is 15-years-old but is not believed to have been involved in the death.

None of the articles I read specified if the 15-year-old boy who was in the home when Jaiden was injured was also Jaiden’s father, but in any case, the only person police feel is responsible for the boy’s death is Jennifer.…

William Martens Was Crushed By Bowling Pin Machine

Panama City, FL – William Martens was performing some maintenance work at Rockit Lanes Sunday afternoon when he somehow got crushed by a bowling pin machine.

According to News Channel 7, a family had been using lane 7 when the pinsetter malfunctioned. The family were moved to lane 8 while Martens worked on the malfunctioning machine.

The family was moved back to lane 7 after it had been repaired and because lane 8 had also malfunctioned. When the family could not get lane 7 to reset, they kept hitting the lane reset button. They stopped doing that when a woman in their group looked down the lane and saw an arm hanging out of the machine.

An employee rushed to the area behind the lanes and found Marten’s upper body trapped in the pinsetter machine. Employees had to call another mechanic who informed them how to turn off the machine and how to manually crank the machine off of Martens.

By time EMS arrived and assisted several other employees in getting Martens freed, the man had been trapped for almost 15 minutes and was not breathing.…

Todd Harrell, Bassist For 3 Doors Down, Charged With Vehicular Homicide

Nashville, TN – Todd Harrell, the bassist for that horrible band responsible for the horrible song “Kryptonite,” has been charged with vehicular homicide after he drunkenly hit a pickup truck with his car, killing the driver.

The incident happened Friday night in Nashville, where police say Harrell was speeding in his car when he clipped a pickup truck driven by Paul Howard Shoulders. The truck was sent careening down an embankment and Shoulders was killed after being ejected from his truck. Harrell suffered minor injuries.

Police said 41-year-old Harrell showed signs of impairment at the scene and admitted he’d consumed hard cider along with some Lortab and Xanax. After being taken to jail, deputies found Harrell was hiding a bag in his sock that contained 8 Xanax pills, 24 oxycodone pills and 4 oxymorphone pills.

Todd Harrell is currently in jail on $100,000 bond on charges of vehicular homicide and bringing controlled substances into the jail.

harrell had gotten into similar trouble last year in D’Iberville, MI, after crashing his black Cadillac into the rear of a pickup truck while intoxicated.…

Samantha Rhinehart Gets 20 Years For Crash That Killed Her Daughter

GAFFNEY, S.C. — Samantha Rhinehart was sentenced to 20 years in prison after the 28-year-old admitted to being under the influence of meth when she caused a wreck that claimed the life of her 8-year-old daughter and injured two others.

Back in January, Rhinehart was driving a 2001 Ford truck with seven passengers, including her 8-year-old daughter, Anna Marie Rhinehart. She was doing around 62 mph in a 45 mph zone when she lost control of the truck and ended up slamming into a tree. Rhinehart’s daughter was thrown from the truck on impact and died from multiple head injuries.

Rhinehart, who was driving with a suspended driver’s license and admitted she’d used meth sometime before the crash, was arrested and charged with felony driving under the influence with a death, and two counts of felony driving under the influence with great bodily injury.

The charges were upgraded to reckless homicide, two counts of first-degree assault and battery, and child endangerment after tests revealed the that meth was in her urine, and not in her blood, meaning she’d taken the drug shortly before getting behind the wheel of a vehicle with seven passengers.…

Pulpit of Doom Podcast 4-19-2013

Here, Now – Thanks to all of you who showed up to our Friday night edition of the Pulpit of Doom. Our regular Thursday show went bust because, as I found out later, BlogTalkRadio was suffering DDOS attacks from person(s) unknown.

After some initial connection problems and me gagging on some terrible tasting Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat beer, myself and Jaded discussed the top 10 stories circulating on the site for the last week.

These included abusing babies because you like it, shooting your parents over Bible verses, tossing your baby on a public bus, permanent ways to stop a baby from crying, why stupid people with children should not be allowed in zoos, being molested by strangers on airplanes, apologetic rapists who offer advice to their victims, and, as usual, being mauled to death by dogs. Good times, good times.

We also talk about the addition of new and returning writers, talked a bit about the Boston bombings with a fan, and a whole lot more!…

Teen Charged With Assault After Pissing In Central High School Coffee Pot

ST. JOSEPH, MO - A 16-year-old Central High School student was charged in juvenile court with third degree assault, after taking a piss in a coffee pot used by school faculty.

The incident happened in March, when some teachers who drank the coffee reported that the coffee tasted funny.

“A report was made that it tasted like chemical or cleaner – I’m not sure what the word was,” said St. Joseph Superintendent of Schools Dr. Melody Smith.  “There seemed like this personal coffee pot in a storage room, that the coffee tasted strange.”

An internal investigation was launched that included reviewing footage, frame by frame, from a hidden surveillance camera in the faculty room. Three weeks later, school staff were finally able to find the 16-year-old student responsible for tainting the coffee, and exactly what they’d tainted it with.

After notifying police, the teen was arrested and charged with third degree assault. If he’s convicted in juvenile court, he’s facing anywhere from probation, to being removed from his home and placed in a residential facility.…

Convicted Sexual Predators In One Florida County Have Warning Signs Placed Outside Their Home

STARKE, FL – Convicted sexual predators living in Bradford County are finding new yard decorations provided to them at no charge, courtesy of the Bradford County Sheriff’s Department.

Convicted sexual predators in the county will soon be outed to their neighbors by a big, red sign posted outside their homes warning others that a convicted sexual predator lives inside the residence.

According to Brad Smith, the department’s Chief of Operations, a sexual predator is defined as someone who’s been convicted of a first-degree felony that’s sexual in nature or multiple second-degree felonies that are sexual in nature.

In an interview with Vice magazine, Brad explained that a Florida statute dictates they make the public aware of these sexual predators, which they already do via Facebook and by going door-to-door whenever a sexual predator is moving into a neighborhood.

Placing the signs helps notify people who move into the neighborhood after the sexual predator has already located there, and keeps children away from the residence. When asked if he thought this may lead to the people living at these addresses being harassed, Brad answered, “We don’t expect that to happen, and if it does, we will do everything in our power to protect the person’s rights.”

Sheriff Smith said his main focus is is to protect the community, not worrying about how a sexual predator feels about a sign in their front yard.…

Samuel Cabrera Accused Of Crushing Internal Organs Of 3-Month-Old Son, Blamed The Dog

Philadelphia, PA – Police have accused 27-year-old Samuel Cabrera of beating his infant son to the point that all of the baby’s abdominal organs had been crushed.

Samuel Cabrera Jr. was rushed to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in critical condition, suffering from two broken collar bones, a ruptured spleen, a ruptured liver and crushed organs. The boy would end up dying from his injuries to days later.

Police say when they interviewed the couple about the boy’s injuries, they gave conflicting accounts of what happened.  The mother told detectives they found their baby pale and unconscious and the bruising was caused by her and Cabrera performing CPR on the infant.

Cabrera told police a different story. He said he was trying to knock the family dog off the bed and accidentally hit the baby. Eventually Cabrera would admit to killing his son and was subsequently arrested and charged with murder.

Although the mother has not been charged,  her three children from a previous relationship and Cabrera’s 15-month-old daughter are now living with relatives. Officials also say the 15-month-old girl was sporting some bruises and are trying to determine whether Cabrera abused her as well.…
