Convicted Child Killer Stops Fighting Death Penalty, Says He Deserves To Die

Sioux Falls – A man on death row, twice convicted of the rape and murder of 9-year-old Becky O’Connell in 1990, has asked that all efforts to stop his execution be terminated — he’d like to die now.

In 1992, Donald Moeller was convicted of kidnapping O’Connell from a Sioux Falls convenience store, driving her to a secluded area near the Big Sioux River, and then raping her before stabbing her and slashing her throat. Her naked body was found the next day.

He was convicted a second time in 1997, after the original conviction was overturned due to improper evidence was used at trial, and he was sentenced to death. So for the last 22 years Moeller has sat on death row on the taxpayers’ dime while his appeals ran their course. During this time he says he watches the news, reads the paper, writes and watches old movies.

Part of the the delay in his execution wasn’t just because of his appeals, but because of the method of execution used in South Dakota that has left Moeller’s state-court lawyer fighting with Arkansas-based federal public defenders.…

425-Pound Gang Member Accused Of Grabbing 10-Year-Old Boy. Smelling Him

SANTA ANA, CA — Police have arrested a 425 pound man after they say he grabbed a 10-year-old boy on his way to soccer practice, and started smelling him.

The incident happened Thursday evening when a 10-year-old boy was walking to a local park with his 19-year-old cousin. When they reached the 500 block of E. Central, 55-year-old Victor Joseph Espinoza lured the boy over to him.

Once the boy got close enough, Espinoza grabbed him and would not let go. The boy was finally able to pull free and ran to the park to notify his soccer coach what had happened.

“The little boy cam crying at me, saying that man wanted to take him,” the coach said. “He said that he grabbed him and he started smelling him.”

Espinoza was still at the front of the park when the coach saw him and confronted him.

“He goes, ‘Oh, I’m leaving, I’m leaving,’ and I said, ‘No, you’re not leaving, we’re going to wait for the cops. Because you did something wrong to that little boy.’ He tried to leave and that’s when I tackled him down.…

Man Suing Penthouse Club After Claiming Stripper Ruptured His Bladder

Philadelphia, PA – A man in Philly is suing the Penthouse Club after he says a stripper ruptured his bladder during her performance at his bachelor party.

The incident happened in 2010 while Patrick Gallagher was enjoying the last days of happiness he would remember before he asked for his soul to be slowly devoured over the course of many years.

To celebrate Gallagher making the worst mistake of his life, they purchased him the bachelor’s package, which included a special dance from one of the dancers. This dance included Gallagher being brought onstage and instructed to lie on his back beneath a pole.

One of the dancers then climbed up the pole during her performance, and “from a great height, she launched herself down onto his abdomen,” said his attorney, Neil T. Murray.

The landing left Gallagher in so much pain that he and his friends left. The next morning, Gallagher was in so much pain that he decided to go to the hospital. That’s when it was discovered that he had a ruptured bladder.…

Kansas City Police Looking For Teen Who Knocked Bus Driver Unconscious

Kansas City, MO – I cannot describe just how infuriated I get watching video like the one below. In it, a teenager can be seen sucker punching a Kansas City Metro bus driver, knocking the man unconscious.

The incident happened on October 1st about 9 p.m. at 39th Street and Indiana Avenue. According to Detective Nicholas Sola, the attacker boarded the bus with a several friends, each of them telling the 54-year-old driver the friend behind them would pay the fare. When the last of them didn’t have the money to pay, the driver told them to get off the bus. As the teens exit, one of the assholes sucker punches the driver. Hard.

The driver doesn’t get knocked out cold, but the older man is clearly injured and disoriented after the attack and can be seen rubbing his jaw and chest. He tries to continue his route, but as you can see in the video, he rolls the bus into some traffic cones before other passengers convince him to stop. “It seems as if he doesn’t know where he is,” Sola said.…

Man Caught On Video Making Fun Of Girl With Cerebral Palsy

CANTON, Ohio — The family of a 10-year-old girl with cerebral palsy says their daughter is afraid to leave her home because she is being bullied by her 9-year-old neighbor and his father. They even have video to prove it.

Hope Holcomb’s mother said the trouble with the boy started last year on the school bus. “She was miserable she didn’t want to ride the bus, cried every morning,” said Tricia Knight. ”He treats her like crap, and most recently the dad got involved.”

After calling police on the family because of their son destroying Halloween decorations in their yard, Hope’s grandmother decided to record any possible retaliation the following day. What she captured was the boy and his father, William Bailey, walking away from the school bus with exaggerated limps.

“It makes me sick too, to think that a grown man would tease a 10-year-old disabled girl that has never done a thing to any of them for no reason, and now she doesn’t want to get on the bus to go to school,” said Hope’s father, Mike Knight.…

Teen Mom Charged With Abandoning Infant On Side Of Rural Road

Toulon, IL – A teen mother in Illinois has been accused of leaving her infant alongside a rural road where she remained for twelve hours after the mother told police her baby had been abducted.

Last Thursday, an Amber Alert was issued for 3-week-old Mia Graci Thompson. Her mother, 19-year-old Kendra Meaker, told police that she had left Mia and her 11-month old sister in the car while she walked into a Toulon post office to mail a package. She informed them that it wasn’t until she had already driven away that she noticed Mia was missing.

Sheriff Jimmie Dison said he figured Meaker’s story was bullshit from the beginning, but with no evidence to the contrary, he didn’t have any choice but to request an Amber Alert. It wasn’t until twelve hours later that Meaker finally told the truth and admitted that she drove outside Toulon that morning and placed her daughter on the side of a rural road.

After volunteer searchers were dispatched to the area, Mia was found after a pair of searchers heard her cries.…

Teacher Kills Masked Prowler, Learns It Was His Teenage Son

NEW FAIRFIELD, CT –  A popular teacher in Connecticut shot a masked prowler next door to his home only to learn he had just killed his teenage son.

Sometime around 1 a.m. Thursday, Jeffrey Giuliano got a call from his sister, who lives next door, informing him that she thought someone was trying to break into her home.

Armed with a handgun, Giuliano walked over to investigate and encountered someone in his sister’s driveway wearing a ski mask and brandishing a knife. Giuliano shot and killed the masked suspect when they made a move towards him.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Giuliano sitting in the grass and the suspect’s dead body lying sprawled in the driveway. Police lifted up the mask and revealed the suspect to be Giuliano’s 15-year-old son, Tyler Giuliano. Early reports stated Giuliano had removed the mask and realized he had shot his son before police arrived, but those reports turned out to be incorrect.

Teen Mom Charged With Choking Her Newborn To Death

Lakeland, FL — Police have charged 14-year-old Cassidy Goodson with first-degree murder after she gave birth to a full-term baby boy and then proceeded to choke him to death.

Three days after deputies had been called to Lakeland Regional Medical Center on a report of Cassidy being treated for a miscarriage, the Sheriff’s Office received a call from the girl’s mother after she made a gruesome discovery in her daughter’s room.

Teresa Goodson had been collecting dirty laundry when she smelled something bad coming from Cassidy’s room. Upon investigating, she found a shoebox with a dead baby inside. Homicide detectives arrived at the home and interviewed Cassidy, who showed little emotion while explaining why she a dead baby in her room rotting in a shoebox.

The ninth- grader at Kathleen High School told them that she had been hiding her pregnancy for months, and on the morning of Sept. 19, she went into labor in the bathroom. After using a pair of scissors to try and pry the baby out, she finally gave birth to a 9.5-pound, 20.4-inch baby boy.…

County Reeling After Four Teens Commit Suicide In One Week

WILKES-BARRE, PA – In the comment section of  a recent  teen suicide we reported on, the subject of suicides being contagious came up. I didn’t know it at the time, but Luzerne County has lost four teenagers to suicide in the last week, all within 30 miles of each other.

If there are any inaccuracies with the following details, I apologize. I had to read about fifteen different articles and a ton of comments just to hash everything out.

On Sept. 18, 13-year-old Joshuah Delos Santos from Nanticoke shot himself. Bullying seems to be involved, although officials say they have not seen any proof of that. But over at the Joshuah Delos Santos Memorial Fund, his cousin reportedly stated otherwise. “The morning of September 18, 2012, my cousin Joshuah Allen Delos Santos decided to end his life because he was being bullied,” she said. Comments on a Facebook tribute page echoed her claims.

On Sept. 21, in Jenkins Township, 16-year-old Matthew Montagna used a hunting rifle to kill himself at his home. He was a junior at Pittston Area High School and played football for the Pittston Panthers for three years. Again, the subject of bullying was brought up by his peers as well as on a Facebook tribute page.…

Teen Dressed As Two-Face Killed Himself In Crowded School Hallway

STILLWATER, OK – Yesterday, 13-year-old Cade Poulos came to Stillwater Junior High School dressed as the Batman villain Two Face, then used a handgun to kill himself in a hallway full of fellow students.

Poulos was in the crowded hallway at around 7:50 a.m. Wednesday. It was Super-Hero Dress Up Day at the school, and for reasons unknown, Poulos arrived dressed as a villain. It was during a prayer time before the morning bell sounded that Poulos pulled out a handgun and shot himself in the head.

Immediately after the shooting, the school was locked down, students were evacuated, and parents were asked to pick up their children via a district messaging system.

Initial reports were hinting at bullying as the reason for the teen’s decision to commit suicide, possibly because of some statements made on a Facebook memorial. But Stillwater superintendent Ann Caine said the district had no records of Poulos being bullied and his family have also stated that Poulus was not a victim of bullying.

Whatever the reason was, we may never know what caused Poulos to kill himself in front of his peers.…

Rowan Ford’s Stepfather Pleads Guilty To Reduced Charges, May Only Serve Six Years In Prison

WAYNESVILLE, MO - It’s been almost five years since I first reported on 9-year-old Rowan Ford. At the time, she was just a missing girl from Missouri whose stepfather was not being cooperative with police. I didn’t know it at the time, but it would take five years for the case to be resolved, and the details of what happened to that little girl would end up haunting me to this day.

Three days after I posted that article in 2007, Rowan’s battered body was located in a sinkhole where she had been dumped after having been raped and strangled to death. The day after, police would arrest Rowan’s stepfather David Spears (who had previously been on the news pleading for her safe return) and his friend Chris Collings. Police would charge them both with Rowan’s rape and murder after Collings admitted to acting alone in abducting, raping, and strangling Rowan, while Spears confessed to participating in the rape of Rowan and being the one who strangled her to death.

A year later, these two men still had not stood trial, and Impqueen wrote a great summary of everything we knew about the case up until then.…

Babysitter Accused Of Slamming Baby Pleads Not Guilty In Child’s Death

WAUKEGAN, IL — The Illinois woman accused of killing a 3-month-old baby, allegedly by violently slamming her down on a table, has pleaded not guilty to murder.

Sarah Gumm, 33, is facing life behind bars if she is convicted of the multiple murder and battery charges filed against her in connection to the death of Rylan “Turtle” Koopmeiners, the baby girl she’d been babysitting for six weeks.

On July 27, Rylan was rushed to the hospital after Gumm called 911 to report that Rylan was not breathing. She was pronounced shortly after arrival and an autopsy report would reveal that the girl had a skull fracture and cranial hemorrhaging.

Her cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma, the medical examiner noting a significant amount of force caused the fracture and that Rylan probably died within an hour of receiving the injuries.

Gumm would later admit to investigators that she had gotten angry after Rylan became fussy during a diaper change. “She admitted she put the baby down on a table such that the baby’s head hit the table,” Lake County assistant State’s Attorney Ari Fisz said.…

Man, Ex-Girlfriend Arrested For Sex With 4-Year-Old And Infant

DELTONA, FL – I’m having technical issues today, but a couple people posted this on our Facebook page and I just had to write something up.

A man in Florida, along with his ex-girlfriend, have been accused of sexually abusing a 4-year-old girl and a 7-month-old infant.

On Friday, police questioned 20-year-old Autumn Ash after images were found on her cell phone that depicted her ex-boyfriend, 22-year-old Thomas Fleming, raping a 4-year-old girl.

Ash initially denied knowing the images were on her phone, but later admitted that when she dated Fleming he would periodically send her images of himself having sex with the girl. They would then text each other and talk about other things they would like to do with the girl.

When Fleming was questioned by police, he admitted to sending the pictures of himself raping the 4-year-old to Ash’s phone, and that he had used the phone to record himself raping the girl. Police arrested Fleming and charged him with two counts of sexual battery, although they believe he raped the girl on numerous occasions.…

Teen Facing Child Porn Charges After Posting Video On Facebook

WINDSOR, CT – A 16-year-old in Connecticut is facing several felony charges after he posted a video on Facebook depicting a 14-year-old girl having sex with one of his friends.

I could rehash what was stated in the news article I linked to, but I freeze-framed the news video and was able to read some of the charging documents that the reporter holds up to the screen.

In December of last year,  16-year-old Malik McKnight recorded a friend having consensual sex with the 14-year-old girl in the girl’s bedroom. Malik stated that he had been asked into the bedroom and that the couple were aware that he was filming. Court documents state the video shows a naked male having sex with the girl as she is bent over a bed.

Later that same month, Malik and one of his friends went to the girl’s home and told her that if she did not have sex with them, that he would post the video. The girl said she wasn’t sure if Malik still had the video or not, so she had sex with him just in case.…

Two 13-Year-Old Boys Charged With Murdering Elderly Woman With Hatchet

SHEBOYGAN FALLS , WI – Police have charged two juveniles with murder after they say the teens used a hatchet and hammer to murder one of the boy’s great-grandmother.

Last week the body of 78-year-old Barbara Olsen was discovered lying in a pool of blood inside her garage. At the time police were calling the death “particularly violent” and that they had two juveniles in custody; her great grandson and his friend. Now that the criminal complaint has been released, the disturbing details of what happened to Olsen have been revealed.

According to 13-year-old Nathan Paape’s admission, he and 13-year-old Antonio Barbeau went to the home of Antonio’s great mother to kill her and steal some money. They got a ride to her home from Nathan’s mother, concealing a hammer and hatchet they brought along with them. After entering Olsen’s home through an unlocked side door attached to the garage, they encountered Olsen.

Olsen told Antonio that she was calling his mother, but when she turned around to do so, Antonio struck her in the back of the head with the blunt end of the hatchet.…

New York McDonald’s Back In News After Customer Slashes Gay Man With Razor

Greenwich Village, NY — Last October we reported on the McDonald’s employee caught on camera as he used a metal bar to beat the crap out of two women who had jumped the counter and tried to attack him. That same McDonald’s is back in the news today after a customer got into an argument with a gay couple, then used a razor to slash one of them in the face and neck.

The attack happened on Wednesday after 24-year-old Jamar McLeod and his transgender girlfriend, Jalisa “JoJo” Griffen, stopped in the McDonald’s so Griffen could use the bathroom. The couple were holding hands and talking about their freinds being attacked for being gay when a man waiting on a cheeseburger confronted them.

He began making anti-gay statements and threatened to beat up Griffen after she went to use the ladies restroom instead of the men’s. McLeod stood up for his girlfriend and told the man that he wasn’t laying a hand on Griffen and that he would have to fight him instead.…

Man Found Guilty Of Killing 15-Week-Old Daughter During Oral Rape

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A man in Michigan was convicted of first degree murder after being accused of killing his infant daughter while orally raping her.

Last year, 26-year-old Steven Deuman says he left 15-week-old Evelynne Deuman on a bed and walked away to smoke a cigarette. When he returned, he found his daughter on the floor bleeding from the nose, unconscious and not breathing.

What he didn’t tell anyone, until much later, was that he also found a used condom in her mouth. He also didn’t call 911. Instead he called the girl’s mother, Natasha Maitland, and told her their baby wasn’t breathing. Only after she drove home from work was a call made to 911.

Instead of waiting for an ambulance, they attempted to drive Evelynne to the hospital, but were told to pull over by 911 dispatch. A paramedic arrived and tried to revive Evelynne before rushing her to the hospital. But it was too late as, according to prosecutors, she had been dead for awhile.

It wasn’t until later that night that Deuman allegedly whispered to Maitland that he felt that the baby had choked to death on a used condom.…

Sex Offender Sexually Assaulted Teen One Day After He’s Released From Prison

MODESTO, CA – The day after a registered sex offender was released from prison, he was arrested for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl on a public bus.

Police say that 37-year-old Kevin Michael Long has spent his life in and out of the system, starting when he was only 12 years old. He has past convictions for assault with intent to commit rape, burglary, drug violations and making terrorizing threats. He just spent over seven years in jail before being paroled on Sept 17.

His family says they were told a month before his parole that he would be sent to a state hospital upon release. But instead of getting treatment, the got a call on the day of his release, instructing them to come pick him up. His family said “eff that.”

This was due, in part, to letters they had received from Long while he was incarcerated in which he admits to being sexually attracted to children, and claiming that he was the Lord.

“I have three teenagers I have a 14-year-old daughter, and 15 and 16-year-old boys. It specifically says in here that those are the kind of people he is interested in,” said one family member who refused to pick Long up upon his release.…

Woman Accused Of Trying To Decapitate Sleeping Husband With Electric Saw

EVERETT, WA – A woman in Washington was in court yesterday, answering to accusations that she tried to cut off her sleeping husband’s head with a reciprocating saw.

Police arrested 44-year-old Renee Bishop-McKean last October after her husband, Brett Bishop, told them that she had just tried to kill him. He told them that he had awoke to the sound of the Sawzall reciprocating saw that his wife had in her hands, and was in the process of pressing against his neck.

After pushing her away and jumping out of bed, Bishop says he fought with McKean to get control of the saw. ”Renee came at me in the kitchen with the Sawzall raised up, we had a struggle over it,” said Bishop. “She kept pulling the trigger to make it run, so I reached out and pulled the battery out of it.”

Not quite ready to call it a loss, the criminal complaint states McKean swung a hatchet at Bishop and hit him in the back of the head with a mallet. When police arrived at the home they could hear Bishop screaming at his wife. ”It was you, it was you,” Bishop could be heard shouting.…

Man Accused Of Cancer Scam Severely Beaten While In Jail

Calgary -- A man accused of faking brain cancer and scamming money from a fundraiser will probably need another fundraiser to help pay for the very real medical bills he’s currently accumulating after getting his ass beat in jail.

After 28-year-old Kristopher Cook told people he had been diagnosed with the same type of brain cancer that had killed his sister, local musicians gathered together and held a fundraiser to help pay for his treatments. The ”Kristopher C’s Cancer Smasher Benefit Bash” was held last July at the Broken City bar and raised $7,500.

But when people took notice of Cook’s unusual spending habits, including being seen with a new Macbook Pro the day after the event, they wondered if he was using the raised money to pay for cancer treatments, or if Cook had cancer at all.

The resulting fraud investigation revealed that not only did Cook not have a sister that died from cancer, he didn’t have any siblings at all. On top of that, he was not a registered patient at any of the area hospitals.…
