PHILADELPHIA, PA – A 20-year-old woman is in jail after police say she solicited a hit man on Facebook to kill her ex.
The internet can be used for everything nowadays and finding someone to take out your ex-boyfriend is no exception. London Elay allegedly posted a status on Facebook offering $1,000 to kill her ex boyfriend, who is also the father of her child. The post showed up last month and stated “I will pay somebody a stack to kill my baby father.”
What’s surprising, but sadly isn’t, is that she got a taker. Timothy Bynum,18, responded with “say no more….what he look like?…. where he be at?” After Eley provided an address and description of her ex-boyfriend, Bynum then allegedly informed Elay he will “need dat stack 1st” and “ima mop that bull.” [my new pickup line -Morbid]
The ex-boyfriend notified police, likely saving his own life, after his aunt saw the messages on Facebook.
Officers who searched Bynum’s home found a .22-caliber handgun with the serial number destroyed. Eley is charged with solicitation to commit murder and Bynum is charged with attempted murder and conspiracy.…

Cleveland, OH – A man was arrested Friday after police allege he shot an 11-year-old girl for playing on his front lawn.
On Friday night, a few kids were playing around a parked car that belonged to 55-year-old Charles DuBose. He claims he yelled out to the kids to stop playing around his car. When the 10 and 11 year old girls did not listen, DuBose grabbed his gun and fired a shot at them. The bullet struck Ivhan’e Merritt and grazed her liver.
Shamarra Hall, 10, told reporters that DuBose became upset when one of the children walked across a part of his lawn and another bumped into his car. ”We started running and then that’s when my friend Ivhan`e goes ‘I got shot, I got shot,’ and we thought she was playing until she fell.”
Merritt was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where she is being treated for her injuries and is currently in stable condition. She is reportedly expected to be released from the hospital soon. ”Everything else is fine, she’s doing fine, she’s up walking, talking,” Aquadea Merritt said.…

Vernon Hills, IL. – A 47-year-old man is in custody after killing his wife because she woke him up several times the night before.
Ronald Stolberg is being held in lieu of $3 Million bond in the first-degree murder of his wife. Police allege he was frustrated with 54-year old Rachel Stolberg because the night before she was the reason he didn’t get his full 8 hours of beauty rest, which he so obviously needed. Ronald held Rachel face down into the ground with such force that her teeth bit into her lips. Ronald admitted to investigators that he held her down, while pushing into her back until her body went limp. Once the woman stopped moving, he went back to bed to get that well-deserved sleep.
The following morning, Ronald saw his wife in the same position on the floor, with blue hands. Apparently still pissed at his dead wife, he made his way to work, rather than seek help. When he returned home from his full workday, he decided to get something to eat before turning his wife’s body over.…

Watertown, NY. – An 18-year-old woman had a few charges brought against her after she allegedly stabbed a man early Saturday morning.
The encounter between Kenna Rae Williams and her ex-boyfriend, Corey R. Smith, turned violent around 3 am Saturday morning, when she revealed a butcher’s knife and turned on her boyfriend outside of his home. She stabbed the victim twice in his back and cut his hand in the process. An ambulance was called for the man, but his condition is unknown.
And it seems she wasn’t just trying to wing him. She allegedly stated, “I’m going to kill you,” during the incident, police said. Williams’ little stint earned her a few charges, including charges of second-degree assault, second-degree menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. She is being held on $5,000 cash bail.
Although the article states she has no previous record, a quick Google search reveals she is no stranger to police . I’m not going to list all of the articles that came up on this chick (I found two cases from this year alone), but she was charged back in 2009 with second-degree harassment, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.…

York, PA. – A 23-year-old woman is accused of burning a child’s hand so badly, his skin was peeling off his fingers.
Amanda Marguerite Coeyman, 23, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child, after police found that her version of events was inconsistent with the facts in the case. Now, maybe I just watch way too many crime shows, but I have no clue how this chick thought her story would actually fly with investigators.
On May 18 at about 12:45 p.m., Coeyman called York County 911 to report that a 2-year-old child in her care had burned his hand in the shower. When police arrived, the child’s hand was so badly burned that his skin was red and swollen with large blisters and some skin was actually hanging off of other fingers. He was transported to Johns Hopkins Medical Center.
Coeyman, a former assistant Eastern York coach, claimed Myles Miller (pictured) had burned his hand in a bucket she was filling with hot water in the shower.…

Plymouth, PA. – Police have charged a Plymouth couple with rape after learning they sexually abused a 13-year-old boy for at least 5 years.
Carol Ann Hann, 43, and Robert Caravella, 52, kept the victim secluded from the outside world. In fact, he never even learned how to do simple things the rest of us take for granted, like brushing out own teeth and using utensils when we eat. The boy had never been to school and didn’t have any friends.
The case began when Luzerne County Children and Youth Services received a report of a child living in filthy conditions at the Gould Street home back in August. It was there that they found the boy living in a home filled with garbage, rotten food and urine-soaked towels. The child was removed from the home, placed with other family and enrolled in counseling, according to court documents
In January, the boy revealed some interesting facts to his therapist. Apparently Hann often had sex with him while Caravella directed them what to do.…

Chicago, IL - A 38-year-old man is being held on $1,000,000 bail after allegedly raping a 6-year-old girl in front of her brother.
Prosecutors allege Jerry Harris went into the bedroom of his friend’s two children back in 2010, ordered a young boy to hide under his blankets, then proceeded to rape the boy’s 6-year-old sister. The young boy witnessed the entire thing because he “peeked” from under his covers and watched the ordeal.
Harris was arrested on Friday and charged with predatory sexual assault of a child after the incident was reported to a teacher. Prosecutors told the judge Harris has eight prior felony convictions while his public defender informed the court he had five children of his own. Scary, I know. The judge must have thought so as well, and set his bond at $1 million on Saturday.
I’m hoping if the allegations are true, he sits in jail for a long time to come.…

Calumet City, Illinois – The body of a pregnant teen was found strangled to death in a Cook County Forest Preserve.
The body of 18-year-old Rosemary Newman was discovered Sunday morning by a man walking his dog . After an autopsy on Monday, the medical examiner indicated Newman, who was 9-months pregnant, was strangled.
Newman’s mother says her daughter went out on Saturday night and was expected to return home at about 11:30. When the teenager did not return, Rosie Newman wasn’t worried for her safety, but rather concerned because her daughter was so far into her pregnancy.
“I know she was going to be having the baby pretty sooon. So I just started to worry. She didn’t come back at the time she was supposed to come back,” said Rosie Newman.
Police believe it is likely the Alsip teen was murdered elsewhere and her body dumped in the forest preserve. She was last seen at a restaurant with a friend. While the Newman family does not know who killed Rosemary, they do not believe her murder was random.…

Dallas, Texas – Police in Dallas caught a man in the act as he was raping a woman under a freeway overpass last night.
Around 11:45 pm, a homeless man witnessed an assault an ran to a nearby building to call police. When police arrived the witness led them to a grassy area beneath the Central Expressway ramp to Live Oak Street. It was there that police found another homeless man, 51-year-old Wendell Walker, on top of a 58-year-old woman who was screaming and trying to fight the rapist off.
As officers struggled to gain custody of the man, his pants vanished. Looking at the photo, they were not recovered before cameras snapped his arrest photo. Walker now faces aggravated sexual assault charges. The victim, who once had a relationship with Walker and lived with him under the bridge, was taken to Parkland Hospital in good condition.

Arlington Heights, IL – Bail has been denied for the Arlington Heights teen who was charged with the murder of his father.
Matthew Nelleson had recently began living with his father after a stint in jail on burglary charges. He was angry with his dad, 55-year-old George Nelleson over not getting money he felt he deserved. So with the help of 20-year-old Marlon Green, a man he met in prison, he devised a plan to rob his father.
On April 12, Nelleson, Green and 20-year-old Armon Braden, waited for his father to return home from work. Once home, the elder Nelleson was threatened with a pellet gun and then bound to a chair with duct tape. They forced the man to write them a $100,000 check as he begged his son not to steal his retirement money. They also stole $800 from his wallet, retrieved his ATM banking passwords and PIN. When George Nellessen threatened to call the police, prosecutors say Nelleson decided that his father needed to be killed.…

Arlington Heights, Illinois — A family is torn apart after a man was murdered on Thursday morning in a quiet Chicago suburb.
I was waiting for police to officially release the name of the person they were questioning in the case, even though it was pretty evident from the start who it was that fled the home and led the cops on a high speed chase.
19-year-old Matthew Nellessen is being held in connection with the death of his father, 55-year-old George Nellessen. Police were called to the family’s home at 8:45 am. When they arrived they found the slain body of George, who was still duct-taped to a chair and gagged. It was also evident that the man’s throat had been slashed. Police were told that Matt, the victim’s son, had abruptly fled the home and drove away in a tan Mercury Grand Marquis. Police located the teen about 45 minutes later. When the teen failed to stop, a high-speed chase ensued, leading about 15 squad cars through several Chicago suburbs, including Hoffman Estates, Barrington Hills and Dundee, where the Nellessen’s tire was shot out and he was apprehended.…

Mokena, Illinois — For those of you who don’t remember Keith Randulich, let me refresh your memory. He’s the teenager who confessed to murdering his 4-year-old sister, Sabrina, because he thought a relative was abusing her. Makes sense, right? Today he was sentenced to 40 years in prison for the pointless murder.
As Rotten Apple reported back in 2009, the honor student called 911 the night of May 22, and told police he had murdered his step-sister in the basement of their home.
He did more than just murder her, he straddled her tiny body in the basement of the home and stabbed her 30 times in the throat with a 5 inch steak knife. He then called 911 three times to report the crime and then met police at the front door and told them he wanted to get this over with.
“I just told her I loved her and I took out the knife and she smiled at me,” Randulich said after his arrest. “I really loved my sister.”
The teen had apparently argued with his mother that evening over his request to use some of his high school graduation money to buy a gun to kill the alleged “molester.” Randulich told police it would have been impossible for him to kill the suspected abuser without a gun, so decided to murder Sabrina instead.…

Denver, Colorado — Police say 26-year-old Noel Bertrand was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault early Tuesday morning after police say he raped a woman in a deserted concourse at Denver International Airport.
The 22-year-old victim told police she met the Bertrand at an airport restaurant after missing a connecting flight to Illinois. When the eatery closed at midnight, she says he followed her into the concourse and offered to wait with her. Bertrand apparently tried to kiss the woman at some point in their conversation, and when she refused his advances, she said the man threw her to the floor, pulled her pants down and assaulted her for 10 minutes.
“He grabbed the back of my hair with his hand…and pulled my head up, and began to slam my head into the floor,” the victim said.
According to the woman, two janitors walked by while she was being raped. Neither one of them came to her aid.

New Orleans, LA – A 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged with raping his 85-year-old grandmother, who also happens to be a double amputee.
The suspect is not named because of his relationship to the victim, but he has a lengthy history of drug arrests. His father left him alone with his grandmother, and that’s when when he allegedly raped her repeatedly. She was taken to the hospital for a sexual assault exam, but the results of that exam have not been released.
Police booked the grandson on Wednesday, charging him with aggravated rape and exploitation of the infirm. He faces a life sentence for the rape charge and a maximum 10-year sentence or $10,000 fine for the exploitation charge. So far, the man has not admitted guilt, stating he did not sexually assault his grandmother.
His rap sheet dates back to the late ’80s and includes arrests for possession of marijuana and crack cocaine and possession with intent to distribute both drugs. In 1997, he was sentenced to three years of weekend stints in parish prison for crack possession.…

Indianapolis, Indiana – Four Indianapolis residents have been arrested, accused of trying to sell a baby.
Police say 36-year-old Rose Faucett and 58-year-old Phillip Hester agreed to sell Faucett’s daughter, born April 2, to 57-year-old Michael S. Overby and 50-year-old Debbie Overby. In return for selling the baby to the completely normal looking couple, they would get a whopping $300 and a place for Faucett to stay.
All four have been charged with neglect of a dependent and child selling. Michael Overby was also charged with forgery for falsely signing a paternity affidavit, claiming to be the biological father of the infant.
The real kicker here is quite disturbing; Michael S. Overby is a convicted child molester and Debbie Overby has been convicted of child neglect in the past.
“Mrs. Overby is currently on probation for neglect of a dependent, and Mr. Overby is a convicted child molester. It’s a charge from back in 1984,” said Indianapolis police Sgt. Linda Jackson. “We don’t know what the intentions were for trying to adopting this child.…

Fort Worth, TX – Police allege that a sex offender tried to evade rape charges by killing a homeless man he thought looked like him in an attempt to fool police into thinking he was dead.
Michael A. Gilbert, 42, was convicted of raping a 12-year-old girl in 1987. Since then he has been in and out of jail for several parole violations and the subject of a couple sexual assault charges. In an attempt to get out of charges that he raped a 16-year-old girl, he decided to fake his own death. Police say he shot a man he thought resembled him then stuffed his dead body in the trunk of his car before setting it on fire.
The part of Gilbert’s plan that was to link him to the burning car worked great. The part where police were to be tricked into thinking he was the dead man in the trunk was thwarted by a simple dental records comparison. Gilbert would end up in a standoff with police when they came to arrest him at his apartment on Tuesday.…

Bridgeport, CT – Police have arrested a 20-year-old father after he allegedly grabbed his son by the hair and punched him in the face.
Kevin Graciano apparently could not control his anger when his 10-month-old son’s cries kept him awake Wednesday night. In an effort to quiet the child, he reportedly grabbed the 10-month-old by his hair and punched him in the face. Then he threw the infant’s child seat at the mother, who did not live with Graciano, and made it clear he was driving them home. Once the mother and child were safely at their own home, she called police to report the incident.
When police arrived, they saw evidence of the blow to the baby’s face, mainly in the form of a black eye. The mother and child were taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment. Graciano admitted to pulling the baby up by his hair, but that punch to the face was an accident that happened when he went to push the mother.
Graciano was charged with risk of injury to a minor, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct and held on $5,000 bail.…

Mesa, Arizona — A man already in custody for sexually abusing a child is now facing additional sexual molestation charges.
26-year-old Brandon Jones has been in custody since January for charges of sexual crimes involving a 5-year-old boy, but they charged him with 30 additional counts on Tuesday after investigators found video evidence of him molesting the 5-year-old boy, a 4-year-old girl and a 1-year-old girl.
According to investigators, Jones’ computer contained pornographic images of the 5-year-old boy and the two little girls. Jones had already been charged with 7 counts related to the abuse of the boy – it was the images of the little girls that lead to the additional charges being filed. Investigators said that the two young girls were being cared for by Jones’ sister while he was living with her. Jones apparently liked to videotape himself molesting the children.
Jones was charged with three additional counts of sexual conduct with a minor and 27 counts of child molestation, police said.
We hear about this type of crime all the time on Dreamin’ Demon, but this guy’s mugshot alone could put fear in the hearts of children everywhere.…

Edwardsville, Illinois – Police solved a crime and saved two little girls yesterday without even trying. A man walked into a police station on Monday morning and confessed to officers that he had been molesting little girls.
He started by telling the officer at the dispatch window that he needed to confess to a molestation. Once in the interview room, officers realized they needed to open an investigation. Police were unaware of the alleged incidents prior to Michael Burgund’s confession.
Police say the 28-year-old man admitted to assaulting each of the toddler victims on three separate occasions between June 2008 and this month. The victims were 2-years-old and 3-years-old. One was sexually penetrated in June 2008 and April 2011; the other in January 2010 and April 2011.
Burgund has been charged with six counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and is jailed without bond.…

Chicago, IL — Police have accused a 21-year-old woman from the south side of Chicago of murdering a 40-year-old man because she thought he may have given her an STD.
Ashley Nicole Steele, along with a companion/possible accomplice, reportedly went to the home of Derrick Grey on February 4th. It was there that Steele and Grey argued over the alleged STD sharing. At one point, Grey went into the bathroom and closed the door. This is when police say Steele decided to get her revenge on the victim. She found his gun and opened fire through the closed door.
It isn’t clear if Steele and/or her companion called the police or if it was a neighbor who heard the shots, but police did arrive at the victim’s apartment shortly before midnight. They were unable to gain access to the residence and firefighters had to come and break down the door. Inside they found Grey, face down, with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
An autopsy performed later that day determined Gray died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was obviously ruled a homicide. Steele was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with first-degree murder.…
