Woman Arrested After Letter Admitting Guilt Is Found At Dog’s Grave

Fishers, IN – Sarah E. Rust, 28, has been arrested by police as a result of an incident on January 24 when her boyfriend’s dog was allegedly thrown from the balcony of their apartment. The dog, Raider, died from the injuries suffered on impact.

Police first received a tip that Rust’s boyfriend had told both a neighbor and a veterinarian who had been unable to revive the dog that Rust had thrown the dog from the second story balcony during an argument. When police questioned the man later, he reportedly told them instead that the dog’s falling from the balcony had been an accident.

During the course of the investigation, the ex-girlfriend of the man – who reportedly shared ownership of Raider – visited Raider’s gravesite only to find a letter to the dead dog written by Rust. It began:

Dear Raider,
First and Foremost Forgive me, but also forgive me and your daddy for fighting. We brought your life into our quarrel. You did not deserve to be any part of our combat.

Officer Cleared After Taser Shot Leads To Woman’s Coma

Pinellas Park, FL – By anyone’s standards, 20-year-old Danielle Maudsley’s day was already off to a bad start. An earlier chain of events had led to her being handcuffed and sitting in a detention room in a Florida Highway Patrol substation. Maudsley (pictured) was a suspect in two hit-and-run crashes and reportedly had drugs in her system. Her arresting officer, Trooper Daniel Cole, was sitting nearby busy completing paperwork.

Maudsley’s day became infinitely more complicated when she made a run for it. She got out the door and into the parking lot. It was then that Cole – only a few steps behind – leveled his Taser on Maudsley’s back and fired. In a single motion, Maudsley would spin around, fall, and strike her head squarely on the asphault.

Oddly and conveniently, dashcam video from a nearby cruiser recorded the incident. Maudsley is seen on the video recording clutching her head and struggled to rise.

She then reportedly said “I can’t get up.” Those would be her final words. Maudsley has been in a vegetative state ever since.…

Teen Girl Traumatized After Seeing Parents On Televised Sex Show

Munich, Germany – Remember your shock and dismay when, as a teen, you first ran across the strap-on that your mom used on your dad? If so, you have an idea of the trauma that has been caused to a 15-year-old German girl who – while flipping television channels – saw her parents on a program about swingers and sex clubs.

After reportedly stumbling upon the television program, the girl had the displeasure of seeing her mother wearing stockings and suspenders in a cage with her father nearby dressed as Batman while holding a sex toy. The resulting ‘emotional upset for their daughter’ prompted the couple to file a lawsuit against the German station RTL for ‘massive damages.’

An inquiry established that the production company responsible for producing the report for RTL was supposed to pixelate the couple’s faces – but reportedly ‘forgot.’ “Forgot,” of course, is television industry shorthand for “the pixelation process is really difficult with a donut in one hand and your johnson in the other.”

Despite the hard evidence, the parents were disappointed when told by the presiding judge that, in order to proceed with the lawsuit, the girl would have had to appear in court to testify and describe her shock – further deepening her trauma.…

Trooper Terminated For Ignoring Chase Suspect In Burning Wreckage

North Knox County, TN - Trooper Charles Van Morgan has been terminated, after an incident in which, according to his his supervisor, Van Morgan knowingly passed the scene of a crash of a vehicle he had been pursuing that resulted in the driver’s death. Dashcam video and Van Morgan’s statements and actions after the crash contributed to the case against him.

In November 2011, Van Morgan was in pursuit of Kyle Anito, 20, for speeding. The dashcam video shows the high speed chase in which Anito progressively gains distance on Trooper Van Morgan. About one minute and 20 seconds into the released dashcam video, Van Morgan is seen rounding a corner and passing by a plume of smoke from the burning wreckage of a car that had crashed into a tree. At this instant, Van Morgan slows his car from 51mph to 21ph. He then re-accelerates, radios that he is terminating the pursuit, and pulls off on the side of the road about 1/2 mile up.

Procedure dictates that a trooper remain on the side of the road for at least one minute before shutting off a dashcam.…

Man Arrested After Late Night Craigslist Encounter

Kirkland, NY — Jonathan R. Obernesser, 39, was arrested after the physical attention he gave to a late night teenaged visitor to his home – facilitated through Craigslist – was poorly received.

Police say that Obernesser placed a personal advertisement on Craigslist which was responded to by a 19-year-old woman. This led to her going to Obernesser’s residence. While there, the woman told police that, after Obernesser gave her an alcoholic beverage, he began inappropriately touching her. She told police that she repeatedly told him to stop. She was then able to call a friend who reported the incident to police.

Jonathan R. Obernesser, 39, was charged with forcible touching, a misdemeanor, and prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage to a person under the age of 21, a violation under the state alcoholic beverage control law, police said. Obernesser was remanded to county jail on $1,000 cash bond.

The ‘prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage’ charge suggests to me that there may have been something more going on here. Regardless, this incident is a good basis for a much needed warning:

If you choose to make contact through Craigslist with an unknown individual who could, quite possibly, be a murderer, rapist, or sadistic torturer; to go to their home unarmed, alone, and late at night; and then choose to drink alcohol with them… please be sure to be cautious and rely on your good judgement.…

Mother Accused Of ‘Honor Beating’ After Daughter Talks To Boy

Phoenix, AZ – An Iraqi mother is back in jail without bond on charges of assault against her 19-year-old daughter for allegedly beating the girl with a shoe while she was tied to a bed. Yusra Farhan was recently asked in court to explain her actions.

“I swear I didn’t hit her – only slightly, like any parent would do to their children,” answered Farhan.

So, you can see that this is going to go well for her. But, let’s back up a bit, shall we…

Last November, police were first contacted about an alleged assault of Farhan’s daughter, 19-year-old Aiya Altameemi, at the hands of Farhan and another daughter. Officer James Holmes with the Phoenix Police Department said that, in that incident, Farhan and the girl’s 18-year-old sister “held this young lady down while mom took a hot spoon and burned her on the face and on the chest.” Holmes said the burning resulted in a scar on the teen’s chest. Fifteen-Year-Old Girl Weighing 70lbs. Rescued From Years Of Torture And Sexual Abuse

Madison, WI – Wisconsin authorities are working to unravel the case of an unidentified 15-year-old girl who was seen ‘stumbling down the street’ barefoot and wearing only thin pajamas in the winter cold. She was also scraped and bleeding. A passerby, Mike Vega, noticing her purple feet in his rear view mirror, stopped to help.

“The girl started talking about how her stepmother had just thrown her down the stairs, she had escaped out a window and was looking for help,” said Vega. “You could see fear in her eyes. It was very disturbing.” Vega added.

Police In Tense Two-Hour Stand-Off With Empty Car

San Diego, CA – San Diego Police could face possible charges of brutality after their Rodney King-like beating of an unoccupied car on eastbound Interstate 8 in La Mesa. The empty car looked to have barely survived the savage abuse at the hands of officers during the two-hour standoff.

The tense situation began in the early evening when, according to Lt. David Rohowits, a suspect in a home invasion robbery was to be arrested during a scheduled meeting with his parole officer. The suspect called just before the meeting to say his car had broken down on Interstate 8. The suspect then abandoned the empty vehicle by the roadside and left the area.

Officers arriving on the scene surrounded the vehicle and reported that the [already long gone] home invasion robbery suspect was refusing orders to get out of the stopped car. It is then that they unleashed their coordinated attacks on the unarmed car. One theory is that the savage treatment was possibly vigilantism because the car was thought to be an accomplice of the suspect.…

Restaurant Settles Out-Of-Court After Receipt Identifies Customer As “McStinkyNi**er”

Newport Beach, CA – Orange County businessman Mark McHenry reportedly enjoyed going to the Landmark Steakhouse even though he sometimes found their treatment of him to be odd.  One example given was an employee remarking to McHenry, who is black, that “black is the new white.” In spite of this, it was reported that McHenry visited ‘dozens and dozens’ of times that including bringing friends.  He was also considered to be a generous tipper.

McHenry sounds like a customer that Landmark would like to keep, but – after one of his visits – McHenry took a look at his Landmark receipt and saw that it referred to him as “McStinkyNigger.” He then dug out other saved receipts only to see himself referred to as “McNigShit” and “McCottonwood.”

In a deposition, Landmark Steakhouse co-owner Mario Marovic  described not discriminating “against any group of people on any basis whatsoever.” Despite this compelling declaration, U.S. Magistrate Judge Victor B. Kenton rejected the restaurant’s attempts to stop McHenry’s lawyers from inspecting the restaurant’s entire history of customer receipts to check for a systematic, widespread use of racial epithets.…

Drunk Driver Fleeing Crash Hit Twice By Other Motorists

Mansfield, OH – Police say that on the night of Jan. 31, Paul Lovely, 44, swerved off the road, over-corrected, and ended up hitting a tree while intoxicated.

“At that point he got out of the vehicle, and – with a bottle of whiskey in his hand – walked east to Lexington Avenue and waited for the light to turn green,” Mansfield police Officer Korey Kaufman said.

“The light turned green and he just came out of nowhere,” Jordan Eagleston, the driver of the first vehicle to hit Lovely, said. “I don’t know why he would try to cross the road then.”

Police reports say that the impact from Eagleston’s car sent Lovely airborne. He landed in the street. Lovely was then struck by a second vehicle while laying on the ground.

“When we found him, he had a bottle of liquor laying next to him in the road,” Police Sgt. Ken Carroll said.

Lovely was transported to a local hospital with injuries. He was initially listed as being in stable condition.…

Legless Man Charged With Raping 11-Year-Old Relative

Athens, GA - Police have arrested a legless man on charges that he raped an 11-year-old relative.

Athens-Clarke police Capt. Clarence Holeman said that the woman became suspicious after  33-year-old Elbert Roman Tate made two trips in a wheelchair to use a restroom on the other side of the home, even though “there was another one next to their bedroom.” The bathroom he chose was located next to the bedroom of the woman’s 11-year-old daughter.

“She felt something wasn’t right because he was gone so long, and she actually heard him go into the bathroom that’s adjacent to the child’s bedroom,” Holeman said. Holeman added that the woman stated that one of Tate’s “bathroom visits” took about 45 minutes.

Holeman said that later, after Tate had left the residence, the woman took it upon herself to ask her daughter if anything happened. According to Holman, the girl reportedly responded that “Tate had wheeled himself into her room, climbed into her bed, then fondled [her] and raped her.”

According to Holeman, Investigators collected evidence that corroborated the girl’s story.…

Panty Thief Arrested After Taunting Victim With Photos Of Stolen Booty

Baltimore City, MD - Manuel Loja, 35, reportedly sent texts to the owner of a pair of stolen red thong underwear that included photos of that very same pair of stolen red thong underwear.  Oddly, this did not work out well for Loja.

According to reports, on February 2, an unidentified female victim’s rear kitchen door was pried open to gain entry and cash, jewelry, and a pair of red thong underwear were taken.  The victim told police that she had received the jewelry from a man she knew as “Luis,” and that “Luis” began sending her “taunting” text messages after the break-in that included a photos of her stolen panties.

Police say the man agreed to meet her to return her items. At the time of their meeting, he brought the items and she brought the police.

“Luis,” subsequently identified as Loja, was arrested on charges of burglary, destruction of property, and theft.

Man’s ‘Skeletonized’ Corpse Discovered Four Years After Suicide

West Allis, WI - While possibly under the impression that he wasn’t important to anyone, David Carter, 41, reportedly used a 9mm handgun to take his own life in his house in a Milwaukee suburb in 2007.

More than four years later, on January 23, 2012, his ‘skeletonized’ remains would be found by a real estate worker from the Milwaukee County treasurer’s office and a locksmith who arrived to inspect the home after it had been awarded to the county in a tax foreclosure.

In the years since his suicide, Carter reportedly never paid a bill, retrieved his mail, mowed the lawn, or cleared snow. His mail undoubtedly included the expected late payment and cancellation notices. These, of course, went unanswered.

According to news reports, near the time of his death, Carter quit his job as a nuisance control officer for the City of Milwaukee and told co-workers that he planned to ‘move to New Mexico.’ Never having been to New Mexico, his coworkers were unaware that the phrase “I am moving to New Mexico” is a completely reasonable euphemism for “I am going to shoot myself in the head and allow my bloodied and lifeless corpse to rot in stench and darkness.” It’s an easy mistake to make.…

Man Sold Stolen Rental Car On Craigslist Under Name “Marcus Hertz”

Houston, TX - An unwitting victim was relieved of almost $6000 after finding the car of his dreams – a 2011 Nissan Altima – on Craigslist.

“The car was seen on Craigslist by the victim. [He] made a meet with the suspects and looked at the vehicle and decided to buy it,” said Deputy Thomas Gilliland with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said that, on January 16, the victim took the car for a test drive and then handed over $5,940 in cash to buy the car. According to deputies, he was given a title for the vehicle and left.

When the buyer tried to obtain license plates for his new vehicle, he was told that the title he received from seller “Marcus Hertz” was forged and that the car was actually a stolen Hertz rental car. A subsequent investigation would reportedly establish that the men who sold the car were, in fact, Brandon Wilson (pictured) and Bradley Eugene Rhodes, both 26.

It turns out that the Altima had been rented by Wilson back in November.…

Police Visit Woman To Inform Her Of Partner’s Fatal Motorcycle Crash, Find Her In Freezer

Sydney, Australia - An unidentified 52 year-old man was riding a motorcycle on the Great Western Highway Saturday night when he reportedly crossed the median into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a semi-trailer. The rider was ‘incinerated.’

The following day, police went to the home that the man shared with Denise Suplina, 48, to inform her of his death.  When no one answered, police forced their way in only to and discover a badly battered body – believed to be Suplina – in the refrigerator. The state of the body was such that responding officers have been offered counseling.

“Seeing a deceased person in the state they did is extremely difficult,” Detective Inspector Peter Yeomans said.

It is believed the body may have been partially frozen.

A black metal pole was removed from a bedroom inside the house. Police said they would examine it forensically to determine if it is the murder weapon.

“They seemed like normal, hard-working, decent people,” a neighbor said in an obligatory statement indicating that everything looked fine even though it clearly was not.…

Teething Baby Licks Cocaine Off Spoon Found In Room At Motel 6

Sleepover Nightmare: Three Girls Die In One-Vehicle Crash, Six Injured

Ashford, WI — Police say that at 3:34 a.m. Saturday, 18-year-old Carly Ottery was driving her Chevy Tahoe at a high rate of speed when she lost control and went into a field. Authorities say that the vehicle rolled and flipped several times. Ottery had eight other girls in her car. Three are now dead. The rest, including Ottery, are injured.

According to the sheriff’s log, Campbellsport emergency personnel responded to the crash scene with the Jaws of Life. A chaplain was also called to the scene.

Sabrina Stahl, 15, and Caitlan Scannell, 17, were pronounced dead at the scene. Katie Berg, 16 – who was originally reported as having died at the scene – was taken by helicopter from the crash site. She would later die from her injuries Sunday at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.

Injured in the crash and taken to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee were Allie Adams, 16; Jessica Harbin, 16; Theresa Flood, 16; and Kasandra Anderson, 17. All were listed in serious condition Saturday.…

Man Fined For Jumping On Students, Demanding Piggyback Rides

Helena, MT - Sherwin Shayegan, 28, admitted in court to jumping on two soccer players at a state high school tournament held in Helena in October and demanding piggyback rides.

“I made a mistake,” Shayegan told Helena Municipal Court Judge Bob Wood.  “I was just trying to be funny and get a piggyback ride.”

Innocent fun? You decide…

Deputy Helena City Attorney Luke Berger pointed out at the hearing that Shayegan has already been, in fact, permanently banned from any high school sporting event in the state of Montana by the Montana High School Association. Add to this that Shayegan himself told police at the time of his arrest that he is also banned from school sporting events in the states of Washington and Oregon.

The piggyback attacks are not limited to sporting events, though. In September 2009, Shayegan was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault after reportedly telling a high-school athlete that he wanted to interview him for a term paper. Police said that, after the student noticed that Shayegan was behaving strangely and attempted to leave, Shayegan also jumped on that student’s back and demanded a piggy back ride.…
