Man Charged With Animal Cruelty For Allegedly Liking It Doggy-Style
June 17, 2011 at 5:35 am by kniption
Shelby, Ohio — Peter Bower, 31, was charged with animal cruelty for allegedly having sex with a dog he adopted last month. Ohio frowns on that sort of thing. Somewhat, anyway…
An anonymous tip put authorities in action. “The tip was allegations about bestiality, sexual conduct with an animal,” said Richland County Dog Warden Dave Jordan. The tip included links to bestiality-themed Web sites, where Jordan reportedly found evidence, including photos, of Bower with multiple animals, including at least three dogs and possibly a horse.
Investigators then executed a search warrant at Bower’s apartment where they seized his computer. Ruh-roh. On the computer investigators reportedly found pictures and stories of his sexual relations with his animals. They also found a bestiality book, “Dearest Pet,” and a plastic blow-up sheep.
Hold on a minute here… I need to stop laughing. Okay.
Particularly troubling for neighbors and those in Bower’s community is that Bower ran a “pet-sitting” service. Neighbor Rosario DeLeon recounted, “(Bower) asked me if I would let him walk my dog and I said, ‘I can’t afford for you to walk my dog.’ He said, ‘I’ll do it for free.’” Unfortunately Rosario… nothing is free in this world.…

Spring Hill, FL — Matthew Emerson Penix, 32, was jailed Wednesday night after he allegedly threw a knife at his fiancée during an argument. More impressive than his skills at debate are his aim. He cut her ear with that knife throw. Damn.
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Department responded at approximately 7 p.m. to Penix’s home. There, the victim told them that Penix had thrown a knife at her head and called her a “skank,” according to an arrest affidavit.
Deputies said Penix admitted to throwing the knife at his fiancée, but ‘didn’t mean to hurt her.’ Penix added that he threw the knife because the victim “would not leave him alone,” according to investigators.
Penix was charged with domestic battery and transported to the Hernando County Jail where he is being held without bond.…

Manila, Ph. — Jerzon Senador is begging the world for forgiveness after a photo of his puppy hanging on a clothesline went viral. Senador posted the photos on Facebook showing the little guy hanging from the line with five pegs stretching the skin on his back. Senador reportedly thought the photos were ‘cool’ and ‘expected that the photos would go viral.’ Viral… yes; cool… not so much.
Senador eventually removed the photos, one of which can be seen right here, but not soon enough to stop the outrage. Animal activists are rallying over the picture and a requisite Facebook group condemning the act has been established.
Senador is now asking people for forgiveness and has posted an apology on his profile page on the social networking website.
“To all animal lovers and to (people) all over the world please read this: I would like to ask for forgiveness for the wrong I’ve done against my dog,” Senador has publically stated.
“I hope you could forgive me and I promise it will never happen again.”
He is likely to face animal cruelty charges from the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).…

Shoreview, MN — Benjamin Bryan Newton died last week after being crushed by a chiropractic table. The boy’s mother, 27-year-old Amy Elizabeth Newton, had been receiving treatment on the chiropractic-treatment table when the accident happened. Her screams for help did not avert the tragedy.
Benjamin had crawled under the table, and preliminary indications are he may have bumped the electronic “down” control, said Sheriff Matt Bostrom. The Mounds View boy died of head trauma at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, said sheriff’s office spokesman Randy Gustafson.
His mother yelled for help after the adjustable table accidentally pinned her 18-month-old son Thursday, the Ramsey County sheriff’s office said Friday.
“She was not able to get off the table rapidly enough to stop it,” Bostrom said. “It’s just a horrible thing. I can’t imagine the grief of that family. It seems to me, by all indications, just a horrible, horrible accident.”
Along with Benjamin, Newton’s 3- and 4-year-old children were in the room. The doctor had left the room for a “very brief period of time and it was in those moments that the child was injured,” Bostrom said.…

Corpus Christi, TX — Michael Aguirre, 18, was arrested Sunday after a fatal accident which took the life of David Garner Jr., 45. Police responding to the wreck at about 7:15 am reported that Garner’s black 2008 Mazda 5 was struck from behind by Aguirre’s white 2004 Cadillac Escalade.
Aguirre was reportedly traveling ‘at a high rate of speed’ when the crash occurred. When Aguirre’s Escalade struck Garner’s vehicle, it caused both vehicles to hit a cement barrier. Enjoying the ride with Aguirre were his 19-year-old pregnant wife and their 8-month-old daughter.
According to a police report, a witness told investigators that, after the accident, Aguirre got out of his vehicle and started hitting Garner – who is presumed to have been already dead from injuries sustained in the accident – several times with his fists. Investigators say Aguirre could be charged with abuse of a corpse. Aguirre then returned to his vehicle and attempted to leave the scene. He was prevented from leaving by other drivers.
Paramedics took Aguirre’s wife and daughter to Driscoll Children’s Hospital to be checked out for any injuries.…

June 14, 2011 at 8:14 am by kniption
Piermont, NY - A federal lawsuit has been filed alleging that new volunteers in the Piermont, New York fire department are subjected to a hazing ritual during which they are forced to fondle the genitals of fellow firefighters.
The lawsuit was filed by the father of a 16-year-old volunteer firefighter candidate in Piermont. Given the age of the alleged victim, the lawsuit characterizes the hazing as not only a civil rights violation, but pedophilia.
The father reportedly said his son was unwilling to participate but was restrained and forced to put his hand on the defendants’ genitals.
Named in the lawsuit are three Piermont firefighters — Michael Bettman, Danny Goswick Jr. and Sam Kropp — and the Village of Piermont.
The lawsuit alleges that in August of last year, the then-16-year-old boy was held in a chair against his will and forced to ‘fondle and otherwise handle the genitalia’ of the three men. The lawsuit maintains that new initiates into the department were commonly subjected to such behavior.
Bettman, 30, of Sparkill has already been charged in Piermont Village Court with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment, a violation.…

Wampum, PA – Police said that a man stealing scrap metal from a neighbor led to a fight during which a bulldozer was used.
Police said the incident began after Joseph Franer, 52, learned that some of the scrap metal and machine parts he had been accumulating behind his mother’s Wampum home were missing. A ‘trail of scraps’ led him to the house of neighbor Leslie Dallas, 59 (pictured).
According to police, Franer saw his stolen items in Dallas’ yard. Dallas was reportedly in the process of dismantling some of those items with a power saw.
The subsequent confrontation included Franer throwing both a hammer and the power saw at Dallas with the saw hitting Dallas on the foot. The white Franer reportedly yelled racial slurs at Dallas, who is black. Franer then broke the windshield and front passenger window of Dallas’ conversion van with a pipe.
“I thought he had gone through his rage. Oh, no! Then he went over and got the bulldozer.” said Dallas.
Interestingly, before returning with the dozer, Franer called police and yelled that he was going to shoot someone.…

South Bend, IN – Angela Voelkert created a fake profile of a 17-year-old teen named Jessica Studebaker to dig for dirt on her husband ahead of their divorce. It worked. He ended up getting arrested by the FBI.
According to court documents, after creating the fake Facebook profile, ‘Jessica’ (pictured) friended her estranged husband. She then reportedly had a friend draw her husband, David, into a message exchange. Soon, David Voelkert was e-mailing his new friend and revealing details of plans to disappear with his children.
He allegedly asked ‘Jessica’ to find a “gang-banger” at her school who would be willing to kill his wife for $10,000. Voelkert also reportedly claimed to have secretly placed a GPS tracking device in his wife’s van to be used to locate her when he was ready to have her killed.
“There should be some gang-bangers [at your school] that would put a cap in her ass for $10,000. I am done with her crap.” Voelkert messaged to ‘Jessica.’

Bristol, NY – Todd Blauvelt Jr., 18, was arrested for trying to move into a multimillion-dollar lake house after convincing his underage girlfriend and her family that he had inherited it, police said.
Police say Blauvelt said he inherited the 6,000 square-foot mansion from his deceased grandfather. Blauvelt invited them to move in with him, investigator Mark Eifert said.
The family was skeptical until one day in May when Blauvelt brought the family to the house and entered with a key. Once inside, Blauvelt provided his four guests with beer and soda from the refrigerator. His facade crumbled within the hour, though, when the real homeowners showed up and called 911.
Police said Blauvelt stuck to his story during the interrogation process describing the fictitious inheritance story in a signed deposition, said Eifert. They would later learn that both of his grandfathers are still alive and kicking, and he he found a key to they home after burglarizing it and finding it, along with a bag of additional keys.
He was charged with second-degree burglary and writing a false written statement and was jailed in lieu of bail or bond, Eifert said.…

The masseuse told police that Irving identified himself as “Mark” and agreed to her giving him a sensual body rub for $180. The police report stated that Mark told her that he was a plastic surgeon and that “money was no object.”

Hamilton, NZ – Given that New Zealand is a relatively industrialized and advanced culture, it is not necessary to exclude it from the happenings reported on D’D. So, it is with great pleasure that I report to you that the fine artwork of pranksters at Fairfield College in Hamilton, New Zealand – namely, the huge crop-circle-esque penises etched into the college lawns two years ago which were recently discovered to have been immortalized by Google Earth.
A New Zealand local, David McQuoid, discovered the images while scanning the neighbourhood online looking for a property.
“At first I thought it was a large piece of art work,” he said. Well… it is.
Acting principal Gerhard van Dyk (pronounced “dike” ya’ smartasses) is reported to have said that it was hard enough to deal with when the prank was pulled back in 2009. The artwork was done with vegitation killer. As such, it slowly and irreversibly revealed itself.
“There’s not really much we could do about it,” said van Dyk. “The caretaker took some more weedkiller and tried to camouflage it a bit.”

New Castle, Pa. — Chico, one of the New Castle Police Department drug and patrol dogs, died Saturday after his fellow officer and handler reportedly left him for over two hours in the back of a locked police cruiser. The dog was found unresponsive in the car parked outside the station.
Chico, a 6-year old Dutch shepherd, had been with the police department since late 2009. The Pittsburgh office of the National Weather Service reported that temperatures in New Castle on Saturday reached a high of 90 degrees. A local Veterinarian, Charlene Arendas, said, “I would never leave a dog in a car even with the windows cracked, once the temperatures reach 80 degrees.”
“When it’s close to 80 degrees, and you leave your dog in a car, you are putting it at risk.” added Arendas. Babies are okay, though. That was sarcasm, people… Sarcasm.
A police press release did not say whether the car was left running or if the air conditioner was on. The car was reported to be equipped with a fan and a system to open a rear window in hot weather.…

Fayetteville, NC - Edward Colmon Williams and Harold Merideth Starling, Jr., both 20, were arrested after detectives participating in a sting operation say they saw the men approaching a porta-potty with lighters, diesel fuel, and cardboard. …and that can only mean one thing: feces flambé.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Arson Investigation Team has been plagued with a veritable shitstorm of portable toilet fires since April – more than 17 in all. The most recent was Tuesday morning at a local church. The fire damaged the church, melting the vinyl siding on one end of the building.
A church member estimated the damage to the church alone to be $3,500. We can only speculate on the cost of a porta-john, but I think that it can safely be said that are worth a shitload.
Williams and Starling were charged with multiple counts of burning personal property and burning of a church. They were processed into the Cumberland County jail under separate $12,000 bonds and are scheduled to appear in court next Wednesday afternoon.…

Albuquerque, NM — Peter Mirabal, 23, was arrested after reportedly stealing a video-equipped bait car belonging to the Albuquerque Police Department. In addition to having internal video, the otherwise nondescript car featured remote kill switch and a team of police surveilling.
Mirabal and his passenger Derek Casias, 19, reportedly saw the vehicle, with keys in the ignition, and decided to grab and go. “The bait car was being placed in situations where it would become a crime of opportunity,” APD Lt. Harold Medina said.
The video shows that it starts off as a drive full of fun and mirth, then Mirabal spots police cruiser trailing him and the mood changes.
“The individual tried to flee the scene,” Medina said. “He backed into a police truck and then into a second police truck and hit another police car as he was trying to get out.”
It is at this point that the police officer in charge of the remote kill switch – which was apparently wedged deep within his ass – removes the switch, wipes off the unit, and pushes the button.…

According to the police statement, when police located the alligator in a wooded area, an officer fired two shots before realizing the animal was really made out of concrete. Police then apologized to Sheridan and left.
