Springfield, MO - Parking is such a pain this time of year. People like 18-year-old Caitlen Watkins make parking a much bigger pain. On Sunday, baby-faced Caitlen and a friend were waiting for a spot when some dude slipped into it ahead of them. As Lonnie Sowersby parked his car and walked toward the store, Caitlen and the driver of the car she was in, Dustin Venengers, began yelling, cussing, and extending other holiday greetings. Sweet little Caitlen even whipped out the universal “Fuck Off” hand signal. Sowersby must have misread the signal and walked over. Venengers reached out and grabbed Sowersby’s sleeve and they began to wrestle about. Choice words were probably exchanged. Caitlen then got out, walked behind Sowersby and began stabbing him with a 4 1/2-inch ice pick that she just happened to have handy. This prompted Sowersby to turn around and pop his fist into Watkins’ face, knocking her down. As Sowersby and Venengers continued to struggle, Watkins got up and stabbed him several more times for good measure.…

Austin, TX - What’s a parent to do with a sick kid? One mother apperantly thinks the thing to do is to drag her puking sick son over to her boyfriend’s apartment. The boyfriend, Adam Tijerina, made it known that he didn’t appreciate the boy repeatedly vomiting all over the place. The girlfriend says she recalls Tijerina mentioning if her son throws up in his home again, he’s going to pull the 17-month-old’s diaper off and hurt his genitals. I don’t know why this didn’t alarm her but it didn’t and she spent the night. The next morning, the mother noticed bruising on and around her son’s privates. I don’t know why this didn’t alarm her, either, but she waited 3 days before taking the little boy to a doctor. Medical personnel found injuries all over his body, including severe bruising on his genitals, three 2-month-old leg fractures, and bleeding in his left eye. Of course, when questioned by investigators, Tijerina said the boy fell down the stairs. Adam Tijerina has been charged with injury to a child with intent to cause bodily injury and is held on $30,000 bond.…

Las Vegas, NV - Michael Victor Lane, 37, sells himself as a motivation speaker and spiritual healer. On November 14th, he motivated 44-year-old Ginger Candela to death. Didn’t even try to heal her. In fact, did everything in his power to see that she stayed dead and undiscovered. Lane told investigators that they had been having a meditation session involving him compressing Candela’s carotid arteries to help her achieve a state of deeper meditation. At some point during the session, he decided to kill her. So he whacked her over the head several times with a frying pan and strangled her with an electrical cord. Lane made a quick trip to Home depot where he used a gift card belonging to Candela to purchase a 96-gallon trash can, bleach, a tarp and a hatchet. He returned to the home and cut her body in half with a handsaw before putting it in a trash can with a cinder blocks and bleach. …

Waterbury, CT – Anna Bambino just wanted a little bit of lovin’ and wasn’t afraid to ask for it. Maybe she was a bit too forward (or desperate?) about it because she has been charged with breach of peace. It seems she called a woman at least 6 times and demanded sex. Not just any old sex. She wanted a little three-way action with the married woman and the lady’s husband. Rather than allow the hambeast in to their home and boudoir, they called the cops. When confronted, Bambino admitted to making the calls to the woman who was a “friend of a friend”. She claims she was drunk at the time. Her most current MySpace has been deleted but I’m willing to bet the source article got that picture of her before it was taken down. On it she had listed her interests as paranormal activity and ghost hunting. Maybe she could blame her actions on demonic possession rather than MD 20/20. …

Eaton, CO - When sisters Rachel Amelia Jordan, 22, and Jessica Jordan-McVey, 26, have a party they try to make sure everyone has fun. And what barbecue would be complete without liquor? Although these two tried to be the “Hostess with the Mostest”, three of their guests had a bit too much to drink, got sick, and started “acting crazy”. It may have been from mixing booze. These particular guests were indulging in quite a bit of vodka and Watermelon Puckers. Or it may have been the fact that two of the guests were age 11 and the other was age 7. Whatever the cause of the craziness, the hostesses figured out a way to handle the situation. They tied the wrists of one of the 11-year-old girls and stuffed a rag in her mouth. To keep her from wandering about, they attached the rope to a nail in the garage. The two sisters also bound the wrists and feet of the other 11-year-old girl. In an attempt to sober all the girls up, they popped the kids into the shower.…

Cape Girardeau, MO - Dennie Bratcher was cooking at the Sonic where he worked as a shift manager. The problem was that it was after closing time and what he was cooking wasn’t on the menu of the fast food restaurant. Cape Girardeau police responded to a burglar alarm at nearly 2:00 am Thursday and discovered Bratcher, still in his uniform, cooking meth. He had returned after completing his shift and intended to cook the meth on the roof. After deciding it was too cold outside, he opted for the kitchen. Responding officers found meth ingredients and determined Bratcher was several steps into his recipe. The Sonic was cleaned, restocked, and passed an inspection by the health department when it re-opened on Friday. Dennie Bratcher is charged with burglary and meth manufacturing and being held on $30,000 bond. …

Sacramento, CA - Acting on a child abuse tip, Shasta County deputies approached a home on Friday afternoon. They were told by the guy answering the door that there were no children in the home and refused to let them in. Luckily for one 7-year-old boy, the deputies didn’t take “no” for an answer. In a bedroom of the double-wide trailer, they discovered the severely injured boy. He had numerous serious and life-threatening injuries including multiple bone fractures, burns, internal injuries, bruises, disfigurement. The boy appeared to have been choked, was malnourished and terrified. It’s estimated that the untreated injuries occurred a week to 10 days before. …

Eleanor, W.Va. - Lura Jo Fisher was upset with her fifth-grade daughter’s recent grades. It’s a problem many parents face. I’ve always found that extra guidance and occasional grounding worked well to improve my kids’ grades. Fisher’s approach to the problem is far different than mine. On December 1st, the upset Fisher twice ordered her daughter to stand outside for 15-20 minutes causing the upset kid to puke. The girl says her mom made her carry the vomit to the bathroom with her hands. Then as she was walking upstairs to take a shower, Fisher told her she was walking too slowly and shoved her. The girl said her mother then grabbed her, flipped her head between her knees and whipped her approximately 20 times with a belt. Fisher continued by slapping the girl, leaving red marks and welts, and ordering her to go take a shower. At about 10:00 pm, after the shower, she was finally told to go do her homework. The next morning, a teacher noticed the girl was upset and talked to her.…

LaCrosse, WI - In September, the mother of 2 five-year-old boys hired Danielle Patton to watch her kids on weekends. Last week, when mom found out what Patton was “watching”, she called the police. 18-year-old Patton’s idea of watching includes live-action kiddie porn. Her favorite activity included the kids’ “basketball pillow”. According to the boys, she would take the pillow from them and demand they perform oral sex on each other in order to get it back. They also said she would make them romp around and play naked while she watched and touched them. When confronted by police, she fessed up. Danielle Patton is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child and faces a mandatory minimum 25-year prison sentence. Hopefully there will be no plea to a lesser sentence. I shudder to think that the hambeast could one day breed her own victims… because you just know there is a chubby lover somewhere that would get drunk enough to do her. …

Nashville, TN - Elliot Lash, 26, was working as a pediatric nurse for a doctor in Nashville. Last Thursday, he was in his 6th day on the job when he put down his stethoscope, walked off, and jumped off of the four-story building’s parking deck. Written on Lash’s hand was the name and phone number of a Murfreesboro detective. Lash was under investigation for child sexual abuse and about to be arrested. It seems his wife had started up his computer one day and found some things that disturbed her. Mrs. Lash called the cops. On the computer were hundreds of images and video of kids performing sexual acts. Homemade DVDs were also found. Some of the videos were of Lash and a child. According to the arrest warrant, one video showed Lash removing a child’s pants and spanking and rubbing the child’s behind for approximately 20 minutes. Police are still sorting it all out to determine who all the victims may be and if some of it was downloaded off the internet.…

Greensboro, NC - Tekia Ritter, 23, and Lashawn Murray, 25, are in the middle of a custody battle over their 11-week-old baby girl, S’riyah Lashawn Robinson. When I think of a “custody battle“, I usually think of it as both parents wanting the child. That may be the case in this battle, but on Thursday night, it sure wasn’t. Ritter tracked down her baby daddy and demanded that he take his turn in the care of little S’riyah. He refused. She placed the baby (in her car seat) and some of her belongings on the hood of Murray’s car and drove off. Murray knew it wasn’t safe to drive with a baby on the hood so he placed the baby on the pavement before he too drove off. Thinking the baby momma might not have too much common sense, Murray called 911 to report which parking space was occupied by a baby. Police found S’riyah still strapped into her car seat and turned her over to social services. She’s not charged for parking without a permit for those 30 minutes.…

Atlanta, GA – Sandra Ramirez, 29, and Jesus Valenti, 26, were about to become parents. Last Sunday, the blessed moment arrived. Somewhere along the line, something went dreadfully wrong. Just how wrong it went will not be known until tests are conducted… tests on the baby’s body… the body that police discovered in the dumpster behind an Atlanta apartment building. Sunday night Sandra was taken to the ER because she “didn’t feel well”. She also had some unusual bleeding going on. The staff determined that she had recently given birth. With no baby accounted for, the staff called the police. Initially, Sandra and Jesus were uncooperative. After a time, the cops were told she had given birth to a stillborn baby and buried it. Later she led the authorities to the baby in the dumpster. I’m not sure “under a bunch of garbage” counts as “buried” but it must have to Sandra. …

Pensacola, FL – Caroline Bramlet, 21, obviously has her priorities screwed up. Instead of paying her electric bill, she spent the money on other “necessities”. I can only guess what they were… but her recent arrest included possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Because the electricity had been turned off in her apartment, she was using candles for lighting. I guess she needed to borrow a cup of sugar or something, because Friday night she allegedly ran over to the neighbor’s home and left her 6-month-old baby girl home alone. A candle on the window sill in the baby’s room fell over and a fire started. The baby received minor burns to her scalp before she was pulled from the burning bed. Now DCF has the baby and Caroline has free electricity in her cell. …
