Cassie Cottas Husband Charged With Her MurderFt. Smith, Arkansas — The body of 24-year-old Cassie Cotta was found yesterday in rural Crawford County after having been missing since December 30 and her husband has been charged with her murder.

Cassie Cotta’s mother contacted police on New Year’s Eve after her daughter failed to show up for work.  The last time anyone had any contact with her was at around 11pm on December 30 when she left a post on her Facebook account that read  ”Blah blah blah.. Cheers people! Fuck it.”

Cassie’s husband, 33-year-old Brent Cotta, was the last person to see Cassie alive and told police she left for a party with a man named “Brandon.” He also commented on that last post of Cassie’s, joining in with concerned friends and expressing his concerns over Cassie’s party habits and the people she hung out with.

The Ft. Smith PD informed Cassie’s family that due to New Years Eve celebrations they would not be able to form a search until January 1, so Cassie’s friends and family started a grassroots effort to locate her using Youtube and Facebook to get the word of her disappearance out to the public.…
