TROY, NC – A lesbian couple and two children were found with their throats slashed in an act police chief James Tedesco called one of the worst killings he’s seen in 42 years.

Officials haven’t released a lot of details, but what is known is that the victims were two women, ages 36 and 22, and one of the woman’s two children, an 11-year-old boy and his 5-year-old sister.

Their bodies were found in a basement apartment by the property manager after they were asked to perform a welfare check. After discovering the bodies, police were contacted.

Sources not involved in the actual investigation have reported all four victims had been bound and had their throats slashed. Officials have not confirmed this, but Tedesco called the murders an act of “savagery.”

“Only a person of savagery would do something like this,” he said. “Nobody that’s been involved in this case is going to forget this.”

Police have said they do not have a suspect or motive, but that evidence they have uncovered leads them to believe the victims were targeted and that murders were not a random attack.

For some, these murders are eerily similar to the unsolved quadruple murder that happened 10 miles away. In 2014, Jin Chen, 39, his wife, Hai Yan Li, 38, and their sons, Anthony, 10, and Eddy, 7, were all stabbed repeatedly and bludgeoned inside their home.

  • Doesn’t surprise me. Troy is a backwoods piece of shit redneck town. Apparently someone there hates anyone who is different considering the separate murders. Just burn the redneck fuckhole to the ground.

  • This is NY, I think. Your post states NC

  • Pretty sure the news said the ladies husband killed them. It also didn’t say the women were a couple

  • some effing effed up people in this world

  • D S

If only there were a member of the family, with a physique and disposition geared towards defending women and children….

  • Cezanne Brewer ????????????

  • that is a totally different story.

  • I think it was NY

  • It’s troy NY. I drove passed the area earlier today

  • JohnQknowitall

Hmmmm…. Where were you when this happened? There was an awful lot of hate involved in the murder. I wonder if it was directed towards women, lesbians, ex-wives/girlfriends or if it simply generalized mean spiritedness. But thens agin, woman folk live’n wid’out man folk juz’ain’t safe no howz, no wayz. (rolls eyes)

  • JohnQknowitall

Had to look up the other murder. Both murders sound like home invasions with two children and two adults were terrified and then brutally murdered. At this point we know very little about this murder and the Chen family murder. The women were lesbians and Jin Chen was a shady businessman with gambling debt. Jumping to a motive in either case is too easy and likely wrong.

Here is a brief about the other murder: https://nypost.com/2017/12/28/quadruple-homicide-in-upstate-ny-eerily-similar-to-2014-murders/

If only the coat hanger your mother used had been a little longer, she would have finished the job instead of leaving you a brain-damaged misogynist.

  • If they are connected, why take such a long time off? To hell with it for all the kids, find the fuckers and rip their guts out. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/7158baa50287256786028ef7f5a21598416046d35c0d4d9d250e9de3f68ef951.jpg

  • Pace

Yea, makes sense given the fact that it was likely committed by someone with a “physique and disposition geared towards defending women and children….”

    *sarcasm*

  • I’m down in dutchess county… I can’t believe there are still people in ny that are not ok with the same sex thing… infuriating that they took 2 innocent babies lives away as well… ????

  • What did those lesbians and kids know about Hillary Clinton ?

  • itsknotme

Please tell me this killer’s was pictured in a selfie taken by one of the victims by accident.

Yeah, this was in Troy, New York. Just a couple of miles from Albany. I hope they find him/her, and slowly cut their throat too………two little kids man…..

  • D S

D-did you just accuse me of murder? Seriously? Or “hate,” for that matter? I hate no one.

  • D S

Ahhhh yes – THERE’S that hate that JohnQknowitall is searching for!

Hey, John – look! A clue!

  • D S

Why is that “most likely,” Pace?

If this is a case of a spurned loved/love triangle gone awry, then wouldn’t it be even MORE likely that a woman did it? But, besides that, if it were a man, doesn’t that just make my observation all the more pertinent?

  • D S

    Hey look, John, another one!

I can say in all sincerity and honesty that I hate NO ONE. Those who make “tolerance” their motto, however, tend to be the absolute LEAST “tolerant” of all – and I am hardly the only person to have noted this. You have once again proven that to be axiomatic. If someone has an opinion that differs from yours, it’s “fuck you,” etc. Not very tolerant of you.

  • AtheistPilgrim

That wasn’t hate. That was genuine regret that you were left in such a pathetic state.

  • D S

Now don’t get me wrong – I’ve nothing but the fullest confidence that you desire that I have the very best life possible… but you do see how yours might be construed as a rather hateful comment spawned from an angry, angsty, accusatory, spiteful, socially impoverished mind, don’t you?

Also: “Misogynist” I most certainly am NOT (“Brain damaged”… ehh…perhaps a judgment call, there). You really should make some effort to better understand those you wish the premature death of.

  • Pace

That’s “most likely” since men commit 85-90% of homicides. “Most likely” invokes probability, get where this is going?

Your observation is baseless. If they were indeed tied up, it’s likely that some form of coercion was used. Unless the man, that you are insinuating should have been there, was superman, he wouldn’t have likely made any difference. If it was a “sneak attack”…same problem. Your physique doesn’t render you impervious to blades/bullets (in regard to humans).

By all means, rationalize how we stop bullets/blades with our physique and disposition.

  • I wonder if maybe it was the older woman’s ex and/or the father of her children.

  • BLRII

You’ve never seen a mother defend the babies.

  • BLRII

Basement and first floor apartments are particularly unsafe. Women are thought to be more vulnerable to attack than men. RIP all four victims. A sad, sad event.

  • D S

Unfortunately, Pace, domestic violence among male and female homosexuals is more common than among heterosexuals, and taken as groups – heterosexual women, homosexual women, and bisexual women – lesbian and bisexual women have *FAR* greater occurrences of domestic violence, with bisexual women (and it appears that at least one of the victims was bisexual) having a way higher frequency, and the sheer brutality of homosexual murders has long been noted and is so startling that it is itself the subject of scientific research (America’s most prolific female serial killer was a lesbian – Eileen Wournos – and the six most prolific male serial killers were also homosexuals). So, among the general percentage AS A WHOLE it may be significantly more likely that a man is the assailant – but, among lesbians, the statistics are doubtless different….

    From gay newspaper “The Advocate”:

    > “The National Violence Against Women survey found that 21.5 percent of men and 35.4 percent of women living with a same-sex partner experienced intimate-partner physical violence in their lifetimes, compared with 7.1 percent and 20.4 percent for men and women, respectively, with a history of only opposite-sex cohabitation.”

    And…

    > “The CDC’s 2010 National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey, released again in 2013 with new analysis, reports in its first-ever study focusing on victimization by sexual orientation that the lifetime prevalence of rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner was 43.8 percent for lesbians, 61.1 percent for bisexual women, and 35 percent for heterosexual women”

    But all that aside….

You hypothesize that coercion was used, and in such manner than the presence of a (generally speaking more powerful and inclined towards violence in defense of others – especially women and children) male would have made no difference. I beg to differ. Not only is such a scenario hard to imagine (unless by “coercion” you mean the threat of being shot or something), but the presence of ANY other person(s) – male OR female – would obviously have made a difference.

If you’re actually saying that they would NOT have a better shot at survival with a man present – and it appears you are – I think you’re just trying to make an extremely specious argument. It’s OBVIOUS they would have had a better chance.

  • D S

Sure I have, BLRII. When I was quite young, I saw my own mother do some outlandishly brave things in my own defense. But to imply that a man would not have reacted similarly – and with the added benefit of a physical constitution more suited to the task – is just flatly absurd. I have a wife and children of my own, and if someone entered my home looking to do them harm, they’d be leaving in a bodybag.

  • Murder suicide??? Supposedly? Article wouldn’t load for me. Damn comcast!

  • Just loaded…wozers! Wtf?

  • Pace

First, domestic violence statistics are irrelevant at this point in time. Since there’s little (or, more likely, no) proof that it was a “spurned lover”, your entire point is irrelevant. If we want to bring up “likelyhoods” based on unknown factors, they could have just as easily been murdered by someone that is racist, or anti-“LGBT”.

As far as coercion, if someone grabs a child and holds a knife to their throat/gun to their head, the gender/physique of the person they are coercing will be a moot point. If someone does the same to either of the women, the result is the same.

I’m not going to argue the “man in the house = safer” point. You can not back it up in any way, shape, or form.

  • Yup, all they gotta do is lock down the latch, use the main plan to lock down the generator, and power up coal through the system.

  • D S

    > “First, domestic violence statistics are irrelevant at this point in time. Since there’s little (or, more likely, no) proof that it was a “spurned lover”, your entire point is irrelevant. If we want to bring up “likelyhoods” based on unknown factors……”

Ummmm….. do you remember how this discussion STARTED? It was with YOUR theory “based on unknown factors”! You hypothesized that it was more likely that a male did it, and so I replied, showing that you were basing your conclusion on statistics which very well may not be relevant to the case at hand.

    > “As far as coercion, if someone grabs a child and holds a knife to their throat/gun to their head, the gender/physique of the person they are coercing will be a moot point.”

But that’s just flatly wrong, and I think you know it. As I mentioned to BLRII, I totally recognize the ferocity with which a mother is capable of protecting her young, and have seen it firsthand. And yet, I know that it is at least EQUALLY true that a father would do the same, and he would have the added benefit of having the muscle and natural disposition to carry it out. I wish such circumstances on absolutely NO ONE – not the people in the story, not you, not even my worst enemy, had I any – but, in the event of such a scenario, let’s just realize that, generally speaking, a male would have a FAR better chance at disarming the assailant or otherwise escaping the situation. It seems to me that to deny this is just an exercise in modern political correctness to an almost satirical degree.

    > “I’m not going to argue the “man in the house = safer” point. You can not back it up in any way, shape, or form.”

    See above.

  • You’re an ignorant asshole.

  • JohnQknowitall

I didn’t accuse you. I asked you where you were during the murder. You implied these women might be alive if they had a man, or someone more capable than these mere women, to protect them. Perhaps you would have been able to save them. When I said “hate,” I did not say you. Unwind a little… seriously.

  • Antonio Valor

    What, exactly?

There would be another dead family member?

Or are you suggesting this is what happens in the absence of a member of the family where there is no one “with a physique and disposition geared towards defending women and children”?

Could you give an example relevant to your point so I’m crystal clear on what you’re stating? I don’t want to misinterpret your statement, so please be as specific as possible so we can have a polite discussion on the soundness of the logic therein.

  • Stating The Obvious

Little confused here. You are implying that if a man had been there the outcome may have been different, however, the case cited at the end of the article that is “eerily similar” involved a HUSBAND, wife and children. So it seems you may be wrong.

  • Stating The Obvious

Very easy to distinguish the difference, see in the good old US of A we have learned to tell the difference by how it is used in a sentence and the article/story in which the sentence is used.

Oh, you mean that context thing. I see. Or maybe by the inflection one’s voice. For example:
