TAMPA, FL – A pit bull mix sent three family members to the hospital after a woman tried making the dog wear a sweater.

According to police, 52-year-old Brenda Guerrero was in the backyard of her home trying to put a sweater on a dog named Scarface when the dog began attacking her.

Brenda’s husband heard the attack and ran out to try pulling Scarface off his wife when the dog began attacking him.

The couple’s son, 22-year-old Antoine Harris, then joined the fray and began stabbing Scarface in the head and neck.

All three managed to get inside the house, leaving Scarface in the backyard. When Animal control and police arrived at the home, Scarface was shot with a tranquilizer dart.

“You think you kill me with darts? I take your fucking darts!” screamed Scarface before making his way into the house where two children were in a back room.

Scarface was finally subdued after police shot him with a bean bag gun, a stun gun, and a “catch pole.”

“Officers responding said the dog was pretty aggressive,” said Eddy Durkin with the Tampa Bay police. “When they Tased the dog, the dog was still pulling away and was able to release the prongs from the Taser.”

All three family members were taken to the hospital to treat their injuries. While Brenda’s injuries are believed to be serious, none of injuries the family suffered were considered life-threatening.

At this point it is unclear if Scarface will have to be euthanized.

Of course we will have to listen to how it’s the owners fault that the dog attacked. It’s how the dog was raised. yada yada yada… But, in reality, dogs of all breeds have been planning a revolt against these stupid sweaters for awhile now. Scarface has taken the first stand. We will be hearing more of these stories…

  • If you really love your furry killers you torture them with ugly clothing.
If you have to be attacked by a pitbull, could you imagine it happening by one dressed like mine?

  • Mine likes wearing sweaters!

  • Reminds me of when you try to get Cassie’s harness on ???? DDana KitsonBut in all seriousness I feel terrible for the family and the dog….

  • I dress up my dog all the time

  • Maybe they need to start with a different name.

  • Nedly Mandingo IV

A dog named Scarface, most likely due to having scars on its face from fighting, not necessarily named after the movie. You think that’s a dog that should be in a home with small children, let alone a sweater loving woman? Obviously Scarface didn’t share that love. That dog flipped to full on beast mode. What the fuck Scarface, over a goddamned sweater?? Tasers, stabbing and bean bag shots couldn’t snap this dog back into reality. They probably would have had better luck getting a sweater on a wolf over that rabid dog.

  • The name tells you exactly where the bar was set insofar as obedience training.

  • Erin Johns Gless imagine putting a sweater on your cat…

  • Cordero Becton

  • ???????? don’t blame the dog

  • I have an old pug who would tear my face off if she had teeth and a rottweiler who welcomes it. It’s not the breed.

  • GGMon

I doubt this was “he was always a sweet heart yadda yadda yadda” I’m sure he was pretty aggressive but never attacked before

  • Who they calling “scarface” now?

  • Famy is full of stupid people, and because of that the poor dog will pay.

  • Exactly my point

  • Oh shit, doing that kind of thing to a Chihuahua seems way more dangerous.

  • Talk about falling out of the stupid tree and hitting every branch on the way down.

  • My Chihuahua mix also loves getting dressed up!!! Sits still and runs around showing everyone after haha. She gets very cold living in the mountains <3

  • You’re right but in this case I think it has more to do with training and socialization.

  • That dog is a hero! Freedom for Scarface!!!

  • Oh man the Nanny dog strikes again!

  • CarmillaVonDoom

Are you sure this dogs name isn’t Rasputin?

  • My kids min pin tried to bite my face off when I tried to put an outfit on her. At the pet store.
    Never again.
My fat ass monster dog loves dress up.

  • Aerysta

He really hates the whole ugly Christmas sweater phenomenon, I guess.

  • Not a sweater kind of dog

  • Hope they dont put down the dog because these idiots thought it would be a great idea to put it in an ugly Christmas Sweater…

  • They got what they fucking deserved, anybody that puts clothing on animals is fucking retarded. I hope they don’t euthanized him, can I have him?

  • Yep, they did. 🙁

  • My Pug went tottally balistic when I tried to put a little jacket on her, needless to say I let her have her way and be free and never attempted putting it on again.

  • Inferus

How’d you get that scar, bitch, eating pussy?
No man, from someone trying to put a sweater on me. I’ve got two things, my balls and my bark, and I don’t break them for no one.

  • Josh

Sucker punch the dog in the cooter until it knits them a cosby sweater.

  • Stormblast

If I was that dog and somebody was trying to put an ugly ass Christmas sweater on me, IN FLORIDA of all places, I’d be biting some fuckin’ ass too. LOL!

Yeah, blame it on the poor puppy. You should have seen the scratches on the chihuahua owner’s fingers when she did the same thing. Poor dogs. (rolling eyes)

When this idiot gets out of the hospital, she should be arrested for child endangerment. A vicious pit bull and two small kids? God only knows what could have happened if the woman had irritated the dog by starting her car or dropping her keys.

  • JohnQknowitall

A single bullet would have been cheaper.

  • JohnQknowitall

    …or a different breed.

  • Matt Esquire

See? Dogs don’t want to wear sweaters. I have to side with the dog on this one.

  • True

Tried it. They just fall over on the floor.

  • True

I used to do that with my dogs when I was a kid. Dachshunds. One would even lay on her back in the doll carriage. I’d put a doll blanket over her and she’d fall asleep. Big dogs don’t need or want sweaters. I’d have bit her too. It would make all the other dogs in the neighborhood laugh at him. Dogs hate that.

  • True

This dog had apparently had enough of the fashion show.

  • It was their own fault for trying to put something on that innocent dog when it was saying no in it’s own way. Only the innocent dog that was murdered for no reason gets sympathy from me.

  • Duane Aho

I always said animals hate being made to wear those stupid ass clothes.

  • Eryn Stilp

^^^ that made me snort too loud lmmfao
    Yeah. It doesn’t. Trust us.

  • Eryn Stilp

There is nothing wrong with pitbulls. I have never known a vicious pitbull. Ever.
It is how they are raised. Pits are sweeties.

  • Eryn Stilp

  • Tenbux

You know, this may be the first instance of a justifiable pit bull attack.

  • We don’t know HOW she was putting the sweater on this poor dog. She could have been hitting the dog in her frustration to make it look to what humans think is cute. Scareface’s nail could have almost got caught while she was slipping the sweater on and he got scared and was only trying to defend himself!

  • PhrogUSMC

You’re an idiot. Pitbulls aren’t vicious by nature. You force any dog to do something it doesn’t want do and risk getting but. And the more antagonize it the more it’ll fight. Pitbulls are more gentle nature. They were Nanny dogs back in the day. They’re lovers and great with kids. But provoke them and you’ll regret it, just as with any breed.

  • PhrogUSMC

  • JohnQknowitall

mmmmm yeah…. this incident is a perfect example of what you just said.

  • JohnQknowitall

Ask this lady. Or her husband. Or her oldest son. Or her two small children. The media is always distorting stuff.

    Or ask these people….

  • Bob Loblaw

Scarface was trying to live up to its name.

  • Saddam Hussein

Yeah well you named it Scarface so………

  • Robin Wise

I don’t think the dog should be put down. If it didn’t want to wear a sweater, they shouldn’t have forced the dog to wear it.

  • LynnKayee

I do the same thing when my mom tries to put a sweater on me.

  • Sejanus

Murder Mutt was actually a Furry on bath salts.

  • KittyPsycho

everyone knows animals do not appreciate their peoples sense of fashion on them. Look at those cat faces and think of what they;d like to do to those people. As far as I am concerned anyone who named a pit scarface then tries to put a xmas sweater on them is tryin to win a darwin award. What is sad is that the dog is probably dead by this point in time after being stabbed beat and tazed [where he ripped the cords outta the taser] bean bagged then tranqed, he was still on his feet fighting while they were tryin to get him in the van

  • scotsims

Viscious dogs are raised to be that way, the description of the dog is correct.

  • Hlaðguðr Odinsdotter

What the f*ck were they f*cking thinking.

  • leviguy1947

No way do I endorse dog clothing unless the dog is submissive and there is definite need for clothing. Well, I am 70 and have never bought clothing for any of my dogs, believing it not necessary. The dog I had before the current ones was definitely my dog but she would never show her belly for me. That is a sign you don’t want to push the dog, to include trying to put a sweater on it. People think it’s cute to dress a dog to look like a person. It’s not.
