LIVINGSTON, LA – Lovers of dumbass television shows are in mourning after it was learned that ‘Sons of Guns’ was cancelled following the second arrest of the show’s star, Will Hayden, on allegations he raped his 12-year-old daughter on a daily basis.
‘Sons of Guns’ is a reality show on Discovery Channel that featured the day-to-day operations of Hayden’s Red Jacket Firearms, a company that manufactures and sells custom weapons. Season five of the show ended in June of this year.
Earlier this month, Hayden was arrested and charged with molestation of a juvenile and aggravated crimes against nature after his 12-year-old daughter came forward to report Hayden had taken her virginity and orally and vaginally raped her almost daily since she was 11 years old.
She said she never told anyone because she was afraid Hayden would hurt her. According to police documents, the girl claims that Hayden told her “don’t tell them nothing because I’m all you got.”
Hayden would post $150,000 bail the following day, and his lawyer would release a statement that said the charges were false; the product of a psycho ex-girlfriend. His daughter and co-star, Stephanie, would take to the show’s Facebook page to address their fans with a post that read:
“Guys the show is NOT cancelled! We so appreciate the outcry of injustice but [it’s] not true, I guess some [people] just need ratings… We are on a hold with filming while my family takes care of a few things. You guys are the best fans ever & we love you so much! Thank u for standing strong with us!”
But it wasn’t over for Hayden. After gathering more information, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Department decided to tack on an aggravated rape charges and re-arrest Hayden on Wednesday. He was taken into custody in Livingston, Lousiana, as a fugitive.
This latest arrest prompted the Discovery Channel to cancel the show. “Given the serious and horrific nature of the charges against Will Hayden, we have decided to halt further production of ‘Sons of Guns’ and cancel the series,” the network said in a statement.
Red Jacket Firearms has posted their own statement on Facebook.
“Today, Red Jacket Firearms has received complete legal separation as an entity, from Will Hayden. We will continue to operate, although with heavy hearts and promise to do everything in our power to fill customer orders, back orders and provide support to those affected by these new developments,” the statement reads.Tags: Celebrity, Child Molestation, Crime, Discovery Channel, Incest, Rape, Sons of Guns, Will Hayden
