Briceson MooreSAVANNAH, GA – Briceson Moore is facing an aggravated animal cruelty charge after he admitted to using a dog toy to beat his girlfriend’s puppy to death.

Police say that last month, Moore beat his girlfriend’s nine-month old fox terrier to death with a “pole type” dog toy. He then took the dead dog to Forsyth Park Animal Hospital, where the vet took note of Moore’s odd behavior.

“Once the dog started to set in with rigor mortis the vet wrote that Briceson started grabbing his legs and making him like he was running while he was dead on a table,” said a SCMPD detective.

Officers say Moore eventually confessed to beating the dog and described how he did it.

“He hit the dog three times on each side, at least three times on each side with its own dog toy; it was a pole type dog toy and he said he didn’t want it to suffer so when it started bleeding from its nose he gave it a hard head shot,” said a detective.

What Moore didn’t offer is a reason for doing it.

“I don’t think I’m bipolar, I just don’t know what hit me. I just pounded him really hard.” Moore said in a statement.

Moore’s bond was set at $10,000 and he’s expected back in court on September 8th. His attorney has asked for a mental evaluation.

None of this makes any sense!!! What a pathetic excuse of a human being, waste of human skin, waste of oxygen, waste of space he is using!!! He needs to have BUBBA visit him while he’s in jail and straighten his sorry ASS out!

  • King A sshole

Give him to me, I’ll let Devil and Crossroad have a go at him. They’ll never find the body.

  • Crystal Siegel

I hope his girlfriend dumps his dumb ass

  • Wolf_of_Mars

Fox terriers can be pretty annoying little hyperspace denizens, but to beat one to death? Awww, HELL NO!

  • Stormclouds

Pound HIM with the dog toy.

  • k.nicole

what a sick sick bastard. Someone 10x his size needs to beat his sorry ass. poor puppy.

If for some strange reason, his cell door was left open, And, if for some strange reason, he chose to escape. And, if for some strange reasons, Georgian blood hounds were put on the case assisted by some hungry pitbulls, well, I’d say we have an unsolved, missing fugitive case that we’ll get around to…

  • Davemthree22

Jesus christ. The story is awful enough on its own, but that detail about the making the legs look like they’re running is seriously disturbing. I don’t even know what to make of that. People like this are fundamentally broken.

  • Leasha

Ughhh STOP mentioning Bipolar every time a psychopath kills someone! Stop suggesting it. Whoever suggested BPD to this guy is part of the problem with the stigma.

  • Buffettgirl

“I don’t think I’m bipolar, I just don’t know what hit me. I just pounded him really hard.” I know what hit you, a giant case of Immadickwhodoesnotdeservetobreatheair. The cure is simple, hold your breath until you are no longer breathing…

  • thebossessecretary

    “I don’t think I’m bipolar….” No, you’re just a garden variety fuckhead, sir.

  • Vincents_Sin

Not to defend the guy, but it’s more than normal for people to have thoughts of “what if” when it comes to injuring a person or animal. Acting upon that thought, however, is not so normal and either 1) he has some mental issue he should look into fixing, or 2) he’s just a grade-A douche.

  • Davemthree22

Are those dogs you own? Or do you actually have friends named Devil and Crossroad? Either one would be awesome.

  • Benighted

The reason? You’re a fuckwit. Send him to me and I’ll show him in graphic detail how to administer a beating.

  • wastintime

OK, so the little dog was about 5 pounds, and very small.
This guy looks about 180ish pounds.
So, if it took 3 hits to each side, and one to the head to kill the poor little dog, I suppose it would take about 50-70 hits and a couple to the head to kill this “man”.
Now, that’s just my theory, but I think it’s good enough to start testing.
    Bring in the guy!
    Let’s play science!

Crossroad is a Rottweiler, Devil is a Pit bull. Their named after Robert Johnson’s two most famous song, (Crossroads and Me the Devil Blues). Nothing gets in my backyard, and if it does, nothing gets out.

He played with the dead dog’s body and made it look like it was running? That’s really disturbing. That does sound like something an unmedicated bipolar in a manic state might do. I have several friends and family members who live with bipolar disorder and one of the things I’ve noticed about it is that when the mania hits, it amplifies their existent personality traits and severely impairs their judgment. They’re less able to hide who they are.
With most people, the mania doesn’t cause them to do something this outrageous or cruel. Some of them will go on extensive shopping sprees that they can’t afford, while others do some weird, out-of-character things that don’t really hurt anyone. (One bipolar relative, when he was manic, got an earring. Our family is very conservative and a man getting an earring is considered wild and extreme.) Most of the harm done is towards themselves or their close relatives. Most won’t hurt or kill an innocent. Those that do have something else going on, in addition to the bipolar.
What happened to that poor little dog is awful, and he should never be allowed around another animal ever again (of course that’s not going to happen, but a girl can dream!) I’m breathing a sigh of relief that it wasn’t a baby. I hope the girlfriend realizes how comparatively lucky she has been and gets out of the relationship now–before there is a baby. He’s sounds like a bad guy to be around–not because of the bipolar, but because he’s an evil dickbag. And he’d be an evil dickbag even without the bipolar; he’d just be able to hide it better.

  • Kim Graves

    of course she won’t

Did I happen to miss something? I didn’t read anything about BPD which typically stands for Borderline Personality Disorder. Were you just referring to Bipolar Disorder, or did I happen to miss it mentioning BPD somewhere?

  • LuvsHorror

Ok, I’d like to be your lab assistant for this experiment.

  • LuvsHorror

I don’t think a person who does something horrendous and is found to have a mental disorder should get a lighter sentence than anyone else. In fact, it’s even more frightening to have these people loose. Sure, meds may help, but it seems like they always quit.

  • wastintime

Thanks! I was worried about becoming tired and not being able to properly research this. I’m expecting some spatter, so don’t forget the goggles!

  • LuvsHorror

    No problem, want the splatter.

” “I don’t think I’m bipolar, I just don’t know what hit me. I just pounded him really hard.” Moore said in a statement. “

  • Leasha

I use the abbreviation for both, because fuck society.

  • Sara

I agree with you. When it comes down to it, everyone who does something horrendous has a mental defect of some sort. Personality disorder, psychotic disorder, mood disorder, neurological disorder, developmental disorder, or some combination of the above. I hope I didn’t come across as being someone who’s saying, “Aww…give the poor guy a break…he’s sick…”! That wasn’t my intent, I swear:)

I just wanted to point out that with psychiatric conditions, there’s a person underneath the condition and that person is not usually a puppy-killing asshole. (Although this one, unfortunately, is.) Every time a mentally ill person does something horrid, I’ve noticed there always a few people (not typically here on the DD, which has a mostly rational, intelligent community) who go around saying, “Lock them all up and exterminate them!” or “Sterilize them all!” and I cringe. It upsets me when people use mental illness as the ultimate excuse, rather than just one variable for explaining the behavior. It causes people who may not have experience with the mentally ill to think that every mentally ill person is dangerous, which adds to stigma and keeps people from seeking help, which further adds to the problems. (Interesting statistic: the mentally ill are more likely to be the victims of crime, rather than the perpetrators.)

I agree with you that it is frightening to have some of the severely mentally ill who either forget or refuse to take their medication walking around, free to do whatever. It makes me feel a little better to remember that most of them don’t mean to go off their meds. They start feeling better and just forget to take their pills. It’s surprisingly easy to forget when they’re not feeling the debilitating effects of the condition. And then, when they’re showing the effects of their condition, they’re not lucid enough to think, “Oh, yeah, my meds could totally help with this!” They’re too far gone by that point. Some of them have a loved one close by who can pin them down and shove their pills down their throats. But most don’t have someone willing or able to do that.
That’s one of the biggest problems with treating mental illness. On one hand, psychiatrists can’t follow each of their patients around 24/7 and make sure they take their meds and keep appointments. There just aren’t enough resources to do this. It would also be a violation of rights and privacy. On the other hand, if a few of the mentally ill don’t take their meds, innocent people around them can end up dead. That’s a violation of everyone else’s rights! Sadly, the only thing that can be done is wait until a violently mentally ill person breaks the law and then force treatment, which sucks for everyone.

  • Sara

If only that would work! Unfortunately, if you hold your breath for too long, you just pass out and start breathing again. The laws of biology are a harsh mistress.

  • Sejanus

“I am not bipolar, I don’t know what hit me.”

How about a steel fuckin’ bar repeatedly on the skull until you bleed from the nose you moron.
Guys like this need to be diagnosed and put in locked facilities and put on the right meds….FOREVER.
Just accept they can not function in normal society and that is that.

  • jansav

I seriously hope someone beats him to death in prison.

  • Defafan

Same. At least it wasn’t a child though with this POS…

  • JohnQknowitall

    “I don’t think I’m bipolar…”

I think he needs a profressional inpatient diagois and his (former) girlfriend should consider herself fortunate even though the loss was great. I cannot help, but to wonder if indicators of mental problems were ignored. He is cute, but not that cute.

I love dogs, but humans first (sorry if readers disagree).

  • Buffettgirl

We can add a step, have him tie a plastic bag over his head before he starts to hold his breath… simple solutions are always the best ones don’t you think? =)

  • cedric

This guy has issues…the poor puppy most likely rejected this crazy assholes advances for love and then got murdered by the scorned asshole … either that or my brain has become corrupted by reading this site for all these years.

  • CatAtonic99

Thank you. I did see that part. I just didn’t see any mention of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and was wondering if I missed something.

  • CatAtonic99

OK. I just thought maybe I missed something from another article or something.

  • Sara

Ooh:) I like that idea! Assisted breath holding 😀

  • miranda

Actually, she look legal action. She also is starting a charitable organization in her dog’s name for abused animals to try to raise awareness for the cause. It was a terrible tragedy and she handled the situation with a lot of class— so watch yourself making assumptions about people you don’t know.
