Terry DavisEDWARDSVILLE, IL – Police in Illinois have accused 43-year-old Terry Davis of molesting a female Rottweiler puppy.

Davis is facing three counts of sexual misconduct, which seems to be par of this sex offender’s course. He has a record of sex offenses dating back to 2003.

He’s been convicted of criminal sexual abuse by use of force and has two convictions for failure to report a change of address as a registered sex offender.

These most recent charges claim that last October, Davis performed three different sexual acts with a female Rottweiler puppy, witnessed by Davis’ former roommate and the dogs owner.

The owner states the dog became aggressive after these alleged incidents and had to be put down. Davis has denied the claims and remains in jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Despite his lawyer telling the court that Davis suffers from anxiety and depression and has trouble sleeping and staying focused, he was found mentally fit to stand trial.

Now Davis is waiting to see if court officials decide he’s a sexually dangerous person. If he is declared a sexually dangerous person, he may be confined to treatment as a result of a civil proceeding. If he is found not to be sexually dangerous, the case would proceed as a criminal proceeding.

A court-appointed psychologist concluded that Davis isn’t sexually dangerous, but another psychologist has yet to state his conclusions.
