Thailand – The lead singer for a Thai black metal band was stabbed to death by a Satanist who claimed the singer was a big fat phony.
Last Wednesday, Prakarn Harnphanbusakorn went to the home of 36-year-old Samong Traisattha, a member of the band Surrender of Divinity. According to Traisattha’s wife, he’d stopped by to do some t-shirt screen printing and have some drinks with her husband. She said she went to put their child to bed and returned around an hour later to find her husband dead in the living room, lying in a pool of blood.
While police were searching for Harnphanbusakorn, a post was made on Facebook by someone calling themselves Maleficent Meditation. The poster took credit for Traisattha’s murder and posted pictures of the crime scene (NSFWL) that will make a great cover for Surrender of Divinity’s next album. The poster, who police believe is Prakarn, described stabbing Traisattha 30 times while the victim begged for his life.
He wanted it to be clear that this wasn’t a John Lennon type of assassination – he was no fan of Traisattha or Surrender of Divinity’s music. He just didn’t like that Traisattha wasn’t a true Satanist. Here, it’s better if I let this nutcase explain it:
“I have intended to end my life since I was 25. Because I’ll die eventually, I want to drag down those who tarnish Satanism with me. But I refrained from killing women and children…In my view, I have more respect for devoted Buddhists, Christians and Muslims than those who call themselves Satanists without knowing anything about it… If I did not kill him, I’m sure he would be murdered by someone else later… above all else, Satan is not a toy. Do not call yourself a Satanist if you do not believe in Satan!!!”
Surrender Of Divinity issued a statement on their official website: “Avajee, our Black Vomitor/Bass Thunder and most importantly our blood-brother has passed away by a cruel murderer. No words can express about this lost in our horde. Have a rest down there brother! May our blackest flames be blazing bright forever!”Tags: black metal, Crime, Prakarn Harnphanbusakorn, Samong Traisattha, Satan, Satanist, Stabbing, Surrender of Divinity, Thailand
