Las Vegas, NV - A 61-year-old man has been arrested for beating his girlfriend to death with a beer mug after the couple argued about her sleeping around with other men.
On Sept 19, police were called to a mobile home park in reference to a woman bleeding from the head. Once there, police found Jennifer Evanson suffering from multiple head injuries. She would die at the scene. The coroner would later rule Evanson died from multiple blows to the head as a result of a homicide.
Investigators quickly focused on Dana Baker, the boyfriend of Evanson’s who was living with her at the time of her death, but was nowhere to be found on the night she died. They would find Baker about a mile away from the mobile home park, living in a tent in the desert.
Police noted that Baker had blood on his shorts, socks and shoes. When questioned, Baker told police he had been dating Evanson for about three months and had recently moved into her mobile home. On the night she died, he and Evanson argued about Evanson’s sleeping around with other men.
Baker told police he got so angry during this argument that he pulled Evanson out of bed by her hair. When she made a comment about her having sex with other men, he became enraged and struck Evanson in the head seven to eight times with a heavy beer mug.
He then left the trailer, leaving her on the floor bleeding like a stuck pig, before returning two hours later. She was still alive at this point and asked him to call 911, which I am assuming he did – it was a bit too late.
Dana Baker was arrested and booked into Clark County Detention Center, charged with murder with a deadly weapon.Tags: Beating, beer, Crime, Dana Baker, Domestic Violence, Jennifer Evanson, Murder, trailer
