Moab, UT – Think you are having a bad day? Well a cop in Utah has been accused of trying to kill his father after he caught him having sex with his wife.
According to reports, 33-year-old Timothy John “TJ” Brewer, a deputy with the sheriff’s department in Grand County, invited his father, Moab fire chief Wesley “Corky” Brewer, to his home for dinner and drinks.
Sometime in the early morning hours, TJ’s wife, Logan Brewer, said she was going to take one of their children to bed. When that kid came back downstairs, TJ realized he was alone and went upstairs to find the door to his 4-year-old son’s bedroom was locked. When he made entry, he found his wife on top of his father, with “his dad’s dick” inside her.
As you can imagine, poor TJ lost it. He “beat the fuck” out of his old man before leaving the room and coming back with a handgun. Logan told investigators that she heard her husband ”rack a round” into the gun’s chamber before he started smacking her around a bit.
She stated TJ pointed the gun in her face before he used it to pistol-whip his dad. Both father and son left the residence, with Corky returning home to tell his wife what had happened and say he needed a gun. Corky’s wife prevented him from retrieving a gun so Corky grabbed a butcher knife and stabbed himself twice with it.
Corky was taken to the emergency room suffering from injuries endured from TJ’s beating, as well as a punctured lung and nicked his liver caused by him stabbing himself. But before he was flown to a hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, a very intoxicated TJ showed up at the emergency room wanting to finish the job he’d started.
This lead to TJ getting into a confrontation with his uncle, who is also a sheriff’s deputy, and with several other police officers. This must have been very awkward as there are several law enforcement officers in the Brewer family. ”He stated several times that he wanted to kill his dad, that he wanted his gun to ‘finish the job,’” one officer wrote in his report. TJ was uncontrollable often switching between crying and being violent.
TJ was placed into custody after he got into a physical altercation with an officer who would not move out of his way. Brewer was arrested and booked for investigation of attempted murder, aggravated assault, domestic violence in the presence of a child, assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct and intoxication.
Someone must have felt bad for the guy, or its nice to have law enforcement in the family, as he was released two days later without posting bail. On July 23, the Utah Attorney General’s Office only charged him with assault and assault on police officer, both misdemeanors.
His father has since been released from the hospital and has resigned his position as fire chief. TJ has resigned from the Grand County Sheriff’s Department, and Logan has made it clear she will not testify against her husband if she is called to court.affair, alcohol, Assault, Corky Brewer, Crime, Domestic Violence, Logan Brewer, TJ Brewer, Utah
