Ronald A. DimambroDETROIT, MI – The 2-year-old boy who was allegedly beaten into a coma by his mother’s boyfriend, has been removed from life support.

Damian Sutton died Tuesday morning at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit after suffering brain damage from a beating at the hands of 26-year-old Ronald Dimambro Jr., his mother’s boyfriend.

Police say Dimambro beat Sutton last week while baby-sitting him. Dimambro first told 911 dispatchers that Sutton was suffering an asthma attack, then said he fell out of his crib. Eventually Dimambro admitted he shook the boy.

Dimambro must have shaken that kid harder than a pair of maracas in a mariachi band, because the boy’s injuries were so severe he had to have brain surgery and be placed in a medically induced coma. Unfortunately, the boy could not be saved.

“Damian had a very stressful night as the doctors weaned him off the medications that were no longer working to control his blood pressure and brain pressure,” said Damian’s great-aunt, Cora Leibowitz.

Dimambro was initially being held on first-degree child abuse charges, but those will probably be upgraded now that Sutton has died.…

upper deckerEASTON, PA – Police have identified and charged the woman who upper-decked a restaurant’s toilet with her newborn baby.

When we first reported on this incident, news sources were saying that a cleaning crew had found a fetus in the upper tank of a Starters Pub toilet.

We spoke about this on last week’s podcast where I remarked that it must have been one hell of a fetus to keep a toilet from working correctly, and now it turns out that the fetus was actually a baby, born alive after 33 to 36 weeks gestation. In other words, that baby had baked long enough and was alive and kickin’.

The mother has been identified as 26-year-old Amanda Catherine Hein, who told police she knew she was pregnant when she went to Starters Pub with three other people. She gave birth to a baby boy inside one of the restaurant’s bathroom stalls after complaining of back spasms and excusing herself.

After giving birth, her son had a few minutes of breathing air before she put him in a plastic bag from a trash can, then inside the tank of the toilet before returning to her table.…

Fredrick KellyWEST MELBOURNE, FL – Investigators say a Domino’s delivery driver shot and killed a man who tried to rob him in a motel parking lot.

Byron Park, 54, was in the parking lot of a Days Inn after delivering a pizza to one of the rooms. While sitting in his vehicle and counting his money, he was approached by 32-year-old Frederick Kelly Jr.

Kelly pulled out a knife and demanded Park give him his money or he would kill him. Park responded to this demand by pulling out a firearm and shooting Kelly once, killing him. No charges are expected to be filed against Park, a former law enforcement officer.

“Preliminary evidence in the case demonstrates that the intended victim of the robbery acted in self-defense while being robbed by a violent criminal who was armed with a knife,” said Sheriff Wayne Ivey.

Investigators say Kelly had a lengthy criminal history that included armed robbery, false imprisonment and aggravated battery.

“The suspect in this investigation was released from prison in 2009, after serving a reduced sentence for similar violent crimes,” said Ivey.…

Javon Tyrek RogersPOUGHKEEPSIE, NY – A 20-year-old suspected serial burglar has been accused of murdering a 99-year-old woman in her home.

Late Friday night, police charged Javon Tyrek Rogers with the murder of Fannie Gumbinger. A home aid worker found Gumbinger dead inside her home early Wednesday.

Police have not released exactly how Gumbinger died, aside from saying that she suffered multiple injuries.

Investigators were on the scene for two days collecting evidence before finally homing in on Rogers. Turns out that Rogers may be connected to a string of burglaries in the area, including one that happened just hours after Gumbinger’s murder, a half-mile from her home.

Rogers has been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree burglary. He is being held without bond in the Dutchess County Jail.

Friends of Gumbinger called her “sharp as a tack”, whose only ailments were a bad leg and hip that kept her confined to her home and in need of home healthcare workers.

“I can’t imagine why people would have gone into that house, other than the fact that she was a defenseless old lady,” said Gumbinger’s niece.…

James TadrosJACKSONVILLE, FL – Police say a man in a Florida Best Buy lured a 9-year-old girl into the store’s bathroom where he allegedly beat her and shoved her head in the toilet.

Investigators say the girl was only out of her mother’s sight for a minute or two, but that was all 29-year-old James Tadros needed to get the little girl into the women’s bathroom.

That’s where Tadros reportedly kicked and punched the girl, put a plastic bag over her head and held her head down in the toilet. Authorities say the girl would have been killed had store employees not taken time out from not being able to answer the most basic of technical questions, and walked into the bathroom after hearing the girl’s screams.

“By the grace of God, the customer and employees got in when they did,” Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jay Farhat said. “If it had been any longer this could have been a much worse outcome.”

The employees told police that they looked underneath the handicapped stall and saw Tadros holding the child’s head in the toilet.…

GTA IVSlaughter, LA — Police say that an 8-year-old boy blew his grandmother’s brains out moments after playing the video game, Grand Theft Auto IV.

On Thursday afternoon, at the Country Breeze mobile home park, 90-year-old Marie Smothers was watching television when her 8-year-old grandson shot her in the head with a Colt .38-caliber Detective Special revolver.

The Sheriff’s Office release says the boy initially told investigators that he accidentally shot Smothers while playing with the revolver, but the investigation led them to believe the child shot her on purpose. The motive? The boy was reportedly playing Grand Theft Auto IV in the moments before the shooting.

The boy has since been released to his parents and will not face charges because, according to Louisiana state laws, any child under the age of 10 cannot be held responsible for any criminal act they may commit.

Of course the media will be all over this story, ignoring the real issues while featuring “experts” who will push long turds out of their mouth-holes while claiming violent media is turning our children into psychopathic automatons.…

Michael Paul PerryASHLAND, WV – Sheriff’s deputies say they arrested a pair of McDowell County parents after they found the couples’ young children living in filth, being held in a room where they were handling and eating human excrement. Yum.

According to WVVA, Michael Paul Perry, 28, and Crystal Sidney Perry, 19, were arrested and charged with child abuse creating substantial risk of injury. Not to mention bad breath.

Martin West, the McDowell County Sheriff, told WVVA TV that detectives responded to a call from Child Protective Services employees who were trying to remove the kids from the home in the Ashland area on Thursday afternoon. Not surprisingly, the parents weren’t eager to cooperate and the employees told police they felt threatened.

Officers say that when they entered the residence, they found two toddlers, ages 1 and 2, being kept in a room where they were eating human waste. A criminal complaint filed in McDowell County Magistrate Court said the children were ‘filthy’, and worse.

“The room in which the children were being held had human excrement on the floor and that the children had been eating the excrement,” the complaint said.…

Sean CarnellMERIDIAN, ID – A man in Idaho is facing numerous charges after going on a Wednesday morning rampage fueled by sweet, sweet bath salts.

Police say 23-year-old Sean Carnell’s reign of bath salt terror started around 9:30 a.m. at Tully Park when he fed a 15-year-old boy several knuckle sandwiches before stealing the kid’s skateboard.

Carnell is then believed to have knocked a nearby cyclist unconscious before kicking a 10-year-old boy’s dog in the ribs. From there, Carnell made his way to 8th Street where he beat the shit out of a construction worker with a shovel.

Trevor McMillan told reporters the victim’s name is Mike Rice that he’d been working in a ditch when Carnell came up behind him, “took the shovel sideways” and hit Rice across the face several times. Rice ended up in the hospital with several bones broken in his face, along with a spinal injury.

But Carnell wasn’t done. After re-arranging Rice’s face with a shovel, he forced his way into an apartment and tried to strangle a 36-year-old woman.…

Miracle JacksonBAKERSFIELD, CA – Miracle Jackson, 16, made her first court appearance yesterday to face charges from a double murder at a medical marijuana shop in July.

According to court documents, Jackson and 32-year-old Aaron Patrick Burris entered First Reliable Marijuana Collective on July 17 intent on robbing it. Burris pulled out a gun while Jackson ran out to their car to grab rags and pillow cases.

While Jackson was outside, Burris chased the store owner, 55-year-old Tony Conrad Sherman, and shot the man three times. Burris then instructed 23-year-old employee, Devin Daniels, to start removing marijuana from the display shelves and money from the register.

Jackson had returned to the store but was unable to get to the sales area because of a security gate that had activated. After trying the door several times, she used the rags she’d retrieved from the car to wipe down counters and the door in an attempt to remove her and Burris’s fingerprints.

Burris shot Sherman a fourth time, then shot Daniels in the head after he had given Burris the weed and money he had demanded.…

Renard KingMemphis, TN – Police are looking for two men they say are responsible for dousing another man in gasoline and then setting him on fire in a vacant lot.

Police were called two weeks ago after neighbors heard the victim’s screams. Ellis Dewald says he came across the victim in a vacant area behind two homes. He said the man was burned from the waist down.

“I ain’t ever seen nothing like that in my life. I don’t know what made them do something like that,” said Dewald. “That’s torture. I wouldn’t want my worst enemy to die like that.”

Another neighbor said he did not remember the victim’s name, but will never forget the injured man’s screams. “He was in the weeds. And I just came home from getting groceries. He was over there hollering, his skin peeling off,” said Robert Pearson.

The unidentified man was rushed to the MED in extremely critical condition, suffering burns to 60 percent of his body. He’s still alive, but I’m betting he wishes he wasn’t.…

Pulpit Of Doom Podcast 8-22-2013

August 23, 2013 at 11:12 am by

Pod822Here, Now – The latest edition of the Pulpit of Doom Podcast is ready for those of you lame asses unable to make the show last night.

A big thanks to everyone who showed up to listen to me and Athena talk about the new forums and the Workshop addition that allows members to create their own stories for possible publication.

Of course we also discussed the top 10 stories circulating the site for the last week. It was an interesting mix of topics, including Munchausen by Proxy, the Erica Parsons case and why I am still not convinced they murdered the girl, trying juveniles as adults and why, despite what you may think and what they are accused of doing, is normally not a good idea.

We also discuss what size a baby has to be before it will disrupt the normal operations of a toilet, the dangers of masturbating in front of your webcam, and why I have no issues charging a drunk driver with a degree of murder but have big issues doing the same for a teen who kills someone while driving like an idiot.…

Katelyn ArnoldRAGLAND, AL – Last year I reported on John Salers, the 15-year-old charged with murder after he hanged 9-year-old Katelynn Arnold from a tree. On Wednesday, Salers was charged as an adult.

When Katelynn Arnold did not return home from a neighborhood bike ride, her aunt drove around looking for her for 45 minutes. She found the little girl when she returned home, hanging by her neck from a tree in the backyard.

Rescuers removed the girl from the tree but she was pronounced dead at the hospital. The next day, police would arrest Katelynn’s half-brother, John Salers, and charge him with murder.

Salers admitted to police that he hanged Katelynn, using the rope from a tire swing, with the intent of killing her. According to the sheriff, he has provided them with a possible motive behind wanting to kill Katelynn, but that information has yet to be revealed to the public.

Salers was initially charged as a minor, but District Attorney Richard Minor’s office sought to have him charged as an adult.…

Delbert BentonSPOKANE, WA – An 88-year-old WWII veteran survived being shot in action during the Battle of Okinawa, only to be beaten to death by two teenagers at the Eagles Lodge in Spokane.

Delbert “Shorty” Belton was headed inside the Eagles Lodge to play pool at around 8 p.m. Wednesday when he was attacked by two teens in the parking lot.

“It does appear random. He was in the parking lot, it appears he was assaulted in the parking lot and there was no indication that he would have known these people prior to the assault,” said Spokane Police Major Crimes Detective Lieutenant Mark Griffiths.

Belton survived the initial assault, but died on Thursday morning at Sacred Heart Medical Center from severe head injuries. A motive for the assault has not been officially released, but a friend of Belton’s says that the man was robbed.

“Those people to me are cowards,” said Glenn Longsdorff, Belton’s roommate. “They are cowards when they beat old people that are defenseless. They need to be caught.…

Andrew GoodmanBROOKLYN, NY – A convicted kiddie diddler who’s facing new charges of sexually molesting a teen boy asked a court to dismiss the case. The reason? He claims that under Jewish law he was married to the victim. Oy vey!

In 2012, Andrew Goodman, 28, was convicted of sexually abusing the victim over a period of several years beginning when the boy was 12. For systematic sexual abuse of a child, he got – ready for this? – a whopping two years behind bars.

The teen called the judge’s decision to hand down little more than a slap on the wrist to Goodman (over prosecutors’ objections) “a very grave mistake.” Hope this kid’s got law school in his future.

In October of last year, however, additional charges were filed by the feds because evidence surfaced that Goodman had taken the boy across state lines to abuse him. At the time, the kid was only 15. Goodman took him to Atlantic City, according to an article in the New York Daily News.…

Harry BainsLINDEN, NJ – The owner of a New Jersey delicatessen thwarted a would-be robber by dousing the man in hot oil.

According to a police report, the armed robber entered Cos’s Corner Deli on East Elizabeth Ave around 2 p.m. Monday afternoon. He was wearing a hooded windbreaker pulled up to cover his face, and brandishing a gun.

The suspect, described as a dark-skinned man in his 20s, signaled for the store owner, 46-year-old Harry Bains, to be quiet. Bains stayed quiet all right, slipping into the back while the thief began trying to pull the register from it’s cubby-hole.

“The pan was there. I put on the fryer, and put the hot oil on and threw it at him,” Bains said. “And that’s when he got a little surprised, and he ran out right away.”

Bains estimated that the oil was about 400 degrees.

“To tell you, frankly, I don’t know what was going inside my mind at that time,” he said. “I just did it.”

Officers canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.…

Cynthia AmbroseLaredo, TX – The elementary school teacher found guilty of instructing her kindergarten class line up and slap a kid because of his alleged bullying has been sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Cynthia Ambrose was found guilty of official oppression in June after an incident that was reported by another teacher.

Last May, Barbara Ramirez, a teacher at Salinas Elementary, witnessed 6-year-old Aiden Neely hit another student. Ramirez asked fellow teacher Ambrose how she should handle it, and Ambrose came up with a terrible idea.

Her idea consisted of having the boy sit in her classroom and then instructing her 24 kindergartners to file past him and give him a nice slap.

“He was hit on the head, in the face, on the back. And all the kids hit him twice,” said Aiden’s mother. “He had friends in that class, and friends didn’t want to hit him, but the teacher instructed them to hit him.”

What initially started off as light pats, ended at Ambrose’s insistence. “It started out as a pat,” Ramirez said.…

David HasselhoffSHELTON, CT – A convenience store clerk was critically injured on the job while trying to stop the theft of two David Hasselhoff signs. No, I’m not kidding.

The 36-year-old clerk, who works at a Cumberland Farms store, has not been identified. Police say at around 1:15 a.m., he saw a black SUV pull up and its occupants get out and begin to cut down the Hasselhoff signs from a light pole.

When he approached the vehicle to get the signs back, he somehow got hooked to the thief’s SUV as it drove away. Cue the Knight Rider theme.

Shelton Police Lt. Bob Kozlowsky told reporters that, “He ended up flipping backwards, falling on his head.” The clerk was reportedly in critical condition at Bridgeport Hospital, sources said.

Shelton Police are reviewing surveillance footage from a security camera at the River Road store to try and identify the suspects.

The clerk was trying to get back two display signs from the people in the SUV, according to police. The signs advertise Farmhouse Blend iced coffee, making the theft even more questionable.…
