Marcus CurryMEMPHIS, TN – Police have arrested Marcus Curry after they say he killed a German Shepard puppy by placing it in a running dishwasher.

Police were called Wednesday by an apartment maintenance man who found a dead German Shepherd puppy in a dumpster. He told police it was the same dog he saw earlier on Curry’s apartment porch on a short leash and without water.

When he and some other workers gave Curry’s dog some water, they told Curry he needed to take better care of the dog. Afterwards, Curry took the puppy inside but came out an hour later to put a red duffel bag in the dumpster.

“I was thinking to myself ‘That must be the dog,’” said the worker. “I unzipped the bag and saw the dog and it was wet.”

When police questioned Curry, he didn’t initially admit to placing the dog in the dishwasher, but did admit he put it in the dumpster. But a witness told investigators that Curry told him he put the dog in the dishwasher and “left it in there too long” while another witness saw the puppy in the dishwasher and said it was not moving when Curry took it out.

Curry then admitted he had placed the puppy in the dishwasher to keep it from shitting in his apartment. Curry was arrested and charged with aggravated abuse to animals. He is being held on a $40,000 bond.

Pitiful excuse for a human being. Reminds me of an incident one of my coworkers had to endure. This man put his 9 y/o son in the dishwasher. Sounds like the worst way to die.

So that’s how you train a dog not to shit in your apartment? I’ve been doing it all wrong

  • Erica Gonzalez

He could have just simply given the puppy away! What a lazy fuck head. That poor little puppy. I can’t imagine what it went through. All I would give to have a chance to have taken it from that sorry excuse for a human being and given the puppy all the love and attention it deserved instead. RIP sweet puppy.

He should have asked me first about the time I tried to wash my cat in the toilet. That idea looked good on paper but, as with a lot of DIY stuff, it’s better left to a professional.

    Fuck you, Marcus. Fuck you.

    In my opinion…
Put puppy in a dishwasher for shitting in apt? He is a guy…probly had no idea what that infernal machine did…xbox and wide screen tv probly all he can operate. Dumass loser.

Was it his dog or a girlfriend/wive/diseased hooker’s. In any case Marcus is a piece of filth like the slimy scum that gathers around the rubber gasket in a garbage disposal, which by the way, is where he needs to be fed into piece by slimy piece.

I saw we put this fucking reject into a car wash tunnel, confined in some manner in convertible, and accidentally stop the car in the wash section for about an hour… see if he survives any better than that poor puppy did. Fucker – my second favorite dog EVER was my German Shepard puppy Liesl…

  • Parrot Toes

I have a cat I don’t want to care for. I rescued him from under a moving car on the coldest day of winter when he was just a wee kitten. (I had to block the car with my truck to stop her from moving.) I kept him instead of trying to find his owner because he was loaded with ear mites so bad that he was bleeding and deaf. I fixed him up and he’s still here. He kind of fell into my lap. It’s very hard to find a new home for him. Well, one that will meet my strict standards any way. I’ve never considered sticking him in an appliance though. He’s actually pretty spoiled considering I’m not a cat person. I don’t get why he chooses to sleep with me every night, like he thinks I love him or sumpin’. *eyerolls*

  • Parrot Toes

AND, he wants to eat my birds ALL the time. The meanest thing I do to him, is lock him in a bedroom for 4 hours+ every day so my birds can come out to play.

The fact that there were 2 witnesses just baffles me.People have some seriously fucked up ideologies if they think its normal to put a puppy in a dishwasher. I’m pretty sure these are the same type of morons who put babies in freezers, microwaves and ovens

  • http://www.facebook.com/Gabe.Grivois Gabe Grivois

Stick his ass in a dishwasher and see how he likes it.

  • Leasha

So the 2 witnesses who watched and did NOTHING don’t get charged with shit?? They were obviously in his apartment if they saw it and they did nothing to stop him and save the puppy, but they get off scott free? This man was only caught because the puppy’s body was found, no one thought to call the fucking police?? Fucking assholes.

  • Jessica Stewart

Maybe he saw those dog washers that look like dish washers (and frankly, torture, to me) and thought it would just all work out ok? This is a tragically funny invention: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyY6aws_2nQ because who would do that to their dog?

  • techsupp0rt

  • LETTHEBODIESHITTHEFLOOR

They are barely even human beings to me. They’re nothing but fuckin animals, they are barely even human beings to me. It’s very hard to see the humanity of a lot of folks like that. They are parasites, and will stop at nothing short of killing their hosts; regardless of the impact it will have on their own shitskin hides.

  • Valerie

Have you seen them wash a cat in one of these things?

  • Jessica Stewart

No, but I bet it’s hilarious!

  • Jessica Stewart

Looks like the ear mites made it all the way to the brain, lol!

  • FrikkenFrak

I share your pain. I’ve been a dog lover my whole life. This is going to be a bit long, so I apologize in advance.

Three years ago, this damn abandoned cat shows up at our door one day and I STUPIDLY let her in and gave her food. Showed up the next day around the same time. And the next, and the next….. She’d eat, stay a bit and then want to go back outside.

Wasn’t long before we realized she was pregnant (she was already pregnant by the time she first arrived at our door). One day she came in and didn’t want to leave. We prepared a birth box and a few days later we had her and SIX kittens.

I knew I had a good 14 weeks to find homes for them. I started trying to find homes right away. With the help of a charity, we got mom and all the kittens spayed/neutered, microchiped and vaccinated with the idea being they’d more likely find a home if these procedures were already paid for. FAIL.

I found a home for 4 of the 6 kittens. I tried to get the mom and the remaining 2 kittens to a no-kill shelter for adoption. Every single one (and there weren’t many) had a waiting list of at least 6 months. The SPCA said they’d take them and if they couldn’t adopt them, they’d call me and give me 24 hours to come get them before they euthanized them. I almost threw up hearing that statement. I was stuck with them. That was 3 years ago.

In February this year, a fire broke out in the apartment above mine at about 4am (one of those old two family houses with upper/lower flats). I’d lived there 10 years. We thought it was just a small fire….probably was at first. I called the fire department, the kids and I went outside and waited for the fire department to come. Figured it’d be put out quickly and we’d soon be back inside and in our beds. So when we walked out, I didn’t give any thought about the cats still being inside. I grabbed my wallet, keys, cell. As I walked out of my bedroom, I glanced down at my cat Luna (male cat, female name). He was just laying there, looking up at me. I turned and walked out.

I had no idea my whole life was about to change.

Fire trucks arrived. Then more. Neighbors came out. They gave us coats and water (it was cold and we were in our pajamas). Sirens. Noise. Smoke. From across the street, we watched as the entire upper level of the house went up in flames. We watched as it started to spread to the houses on either side of ours. Thick, black smoke poured out from everywhere. The fire raged. Orange, orange, orange against the black sky. I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t move. I had only one feeling. Helpless.
Helplessly watching everything I’d ever worked for, every memory I’d stored away for my kids from their childhood, everything, everything, everything..destroyed. And my cats. My poor cats. I kept thinking “If I had only known…” I’d left my cats inside. I could have saved them if I had known. And now I can’t. I left them there and they are going to die.

And then I saw what I feared most. The fire was shooting out of the back hallway window. I knew it was moving down to my apartment. I didn’t think about my belongings then. I could only think of my cats dying in that fire. I could only think of Luna’s face as I left him behind in my bedroom. I even (stupidly) begged them to let me go back in to get the cats. The fireman said “It’ll probably be ok. The cats will hide somewhere. Don’t worry”. To their credit, knowing our cats were inside, every fireman who spoke to us treated us with total, genuine compassion, concern and kindness. They didn’t trivialize our feelings for our pets. The fire inspector on the scene told me that when the fire was out, he and his crew would go inside. He said if it was safe, they’d take me in and let me see if they were alive.

It was 6:30 and the sun had begun to come up when he came and told me they’d take me inside. When I saw the destruction once in there, shock set in. Wet sludge, burned walls, everything charred, climbed over piles of burned wood and fallen ceilings.

From the back of the house, I heard one of the firefighters call out “CAT! I see a cat!”. I ran. I got to my bedroom door just in time to see my orange tabby George running to hide behind a dresser. I said “Georgie! Georgie!”. And at the sound of my voice, a cat began to cry. A cry like I’ve never heard. And it didn’t stop. It kept crying. It wasn’t George, it was one of the others (the one who’s pictured in my avie). Three firefighters lifted up a very heavy, wet mattress and there he was. Wet, smokey, shivering. I picked him up and must have sounded like an idiot because I kept saying “Mama’s here. Mama’s here”. Mama?? lol

In the end, we found all three, all alive. I lost almost everything in that fire. The house was declared a total loss and a few weeks later it was demolished.

But I’m alive. My kids are alive. And my damn cats are alive.
And so this is my cat story. : )

  • Parrot Toes

Aw, I am so sorry that you went through all that. I’m happy that no one was hurt or killed, even your cats. That is an amazing story, even though it is so sad. <3

    Yes, it is.

LMFAO! Too, too funny… I wonder if this technique is endorsed by anyone who actually likes their pet? Can you imagine if they built like, a horse sized one of these? Or if this was a recommended way to bathe your toddler? lol My new question is how hard is it to get the cat in there a second time? Bhahahahahah!

Wow, because shitting inside the dishwasher is so much safer for your health.

If he’d sold it, he’d make way more money than what he now has to pay in lawyer fees.
