Tim BosmaOntario, Canada – Ontario police are asking for the public’s help in locating 32-year-old Timothy Bosma, who was last seen Monday after taking two men for a test drive in the pickup truck he was trying to sell online.

Bosma was reported missing by his wife Monday night after he never returned home from meeting two men interested in buying his black 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel pickup with the Ontario licence number 726 7ZW.  On Thursday afternoon, police found Bosma’s cellphone in an industrial complex in west Brantford.

Police were able to track the cellphone they believed the suspects used to contact Bosma which led them to a man in Etobicoke. He told police he was also selling a truck and had met two men that he took on a test drive. He said the men were suspicious and he found it odd that they arrived at his business on foot. They did not buy the truck, and the man was not harmed.

“He thought it was odd, because of the size of the vehicle. It’s more of a business vehicle than a personal vehicle,” said Det. Sgt. Matt Kavanagh. “Fortunately for this person, he’s a very large individual. I think he would have overpowered the both of them. I think that was his advantage.”

One of the men was described as being in his mid-20s, roughly 6’1” and between 170 and 180 pounds. He had short brown hair and was unshaven. He was wearing jeans and a long sleeve orange shirt with running shoes and having a tattoo – a box framing the word “Ambition” – on one of his wrists  where a watch would normally be. The second man was also described as being in his mid-20s, white, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, small to medium build, dark hair, wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over his head.

Police held a press conference on Thursday where Bosma’s wife, Sharlene, made an emotional plea for her husband’s safe return and urged the men involved in his disappearance to think of her daughter and their family.

“He is the love of my life and the father of my child,” said Sharlene. “This does not feel like real life. This only happens in TV and in movies. It does not happen in real life. Tim has been stolen from us. Tim’s world revolves around our daughter. I know she is No. 1 in his mind right now.”

Although this has not been declared a murder investigation, the homicide unit was called in to investigate Tuesday night. When asked if police felt Bosma was still alive, Kavanagh replied, “We always have to hold out hope.” He asked the public call 905-546-2100 with any information regarding Bosma’s disappearance.

A Facebook event has been setup as well, in case you want to keep informed. You can watch the emotional news conference below.
