Shayne CarpenterGrass Valley, CA – Police have arrested 27-year-old Shayne Carpenter, accusing him of poisoning his girlfriend with Visine after the couple had a fight.

Shortly after Carpenter and his girlfriend got into an argument, the woman started feeling ill. She suspected Carpenter may have something to do with her ailments after looking on his phone and reading some of his text messages.

Carpenter was sending texts to his buddies that stated something along the lines of: “If she’s going to be talking shit, then she’s going to be shitting.”

The woman contacted police who then had her call Carpenter and confront him with her suspicions while they listened in. During the call, Carpenter admitted to his girlfriend that he had put drops of Visine into her drink after they had argued.

Shayne Carpenter was subsequently arrested on poisoning and domestic violence related charges. He was released from jail after posting a $25,000 bail.

Last year we reported on 56-year-old Byron Schull, the man who almost killed his 84-year-old father after poisoning the man with Visine. In that case, Byron got upset with his elderly father and emptied an entire bottle of the stuff into a glass of the old man’s milk.

The man recovered after spending a month at the hospital and Byron was eventually sentenced to five years in prison.

Poisoners are a special kind of weirdo.

I can understand losing your cool and getting into a physical confrontation.. but to find something poisonous and stick it in someone’s drink and watch them get sick? You’ve gotta be a creep.

  • Evan Oswald

    didn’t realize it was poisonous!

  • Someone explain how Visine is poisonous in what way? It’s okay to put in your eye, but not to injest?

I’m intrigued by the story about the 84yo man. I thought my husband was bad for hogging the bathroom, but a solid month of powershitting? That guy has everyone beat.

Don’t you hate that when a family member even your significant other places eye drops in your cup of tea? This brings getting your drink on to a whole new level. Tip of the day: Don’t allow a family member especially one you’re arguing with bring you a cup of tea. Install hidden cameras take no chances! At the high school Iin HI I heard this happened except one student tipped off the teacher before they took a sip. This message was brought in part by Aloha Detective Agency. Agent, Mary Mahi Mahi
