Florida - Jonathan Wayne Glass is behind bars after his child drank Drano from a sippy cup inside a Florida home meth lab.
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened on Feb 20th, when an unsupervised child found a sippy cup in the bathroom of an apartment where meth was being produced. Thinking it contained juice, the child drank the drain cleaner and the reaction was immediate.
Police say that the people inside the apartment waited 30 minutes before trying to get help for the child, who was eventually transported to the hospital for treatment and remains in critical condition.
The reason why the Drano was being stored in a child’s sippy cup inside an apartment where a child resides is because it’s a common component used in the manufacture of meth, and Florida.
Jonathan Wayne Glass is being held in the Santa Rosa County Jail without bond. He’s been charged with one count of cruelty towards a child, abuse that causes great bodily harm or disability, three counts of possession of a harmful drug without a prescription, four counts of drug possession without a prescription, one count of opium or derivative trafficking and one count of possessing or using drug equipment.
Debbie Anne Harris, 43; John Quincy Adams, 45; Justin Eric Godwin, 30; and Ronnie Eugene Olson, 39, are facing drug charges in connection to the alleged meth lab. As for the child’s mother, 25-year-old Victoria Lauren Cain, she was charged with child neglect.Tags: Child Neglect, drano, Drugs, Florida, Jonathan Wayne Glass
