Henry LairdTulsa, OK — The mutant looking fuck to the left is 17-year-old Henry “Hank” Laird. He’s alleged to have beaten his adopted mother to death with the butt of a shotgun at some point Monday evening.

Arrested alongside Laird, because he watched the life-sized troll doll beat the woman and did jack shit, is 19-year-old Josiah Sklar.

There aren’t a lot of details at this point, but according to police, Linda Laird’s body was found at the bottom of a staircase in the living room sometime Tuesday. The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death was a homicide due to “blunt force trauma to the head and neck.”

Laird and Sklar had apparently left the residence right about the time the body was discovered.

Sklar was arrested at a nearby motel Wednesday morning. 56-year-old Linda Laird still showed signs of life after the beating, Sklar told police, but because he was scared of Laird, and because he wasn’t prepared to testify against him in court, he did nothing to help the woman.

Oh, wait… he did give the dying woman a pillow before dragging his own useless ass back to bed. What a friggin’ saint, eh?

Sklar also told police Laird beat the woman so hard and with such effort, that he passed out afterwards. Arrest reports indicate Laird hit his mother at least 20 times.

Laird was reportedly “laughing and smiling” when he surrendered to police after a 20-minute standoff Wednesday afternoon.

He’s apparently been an asshole since about 2007 – that’s about the time he started physically abusing Linda.

According to KRMG, Laird has had issues with the law dating back to 2007 and it appears as if he started roughing his mother up in 2011.

In April of that year, Laird was accused of repeatedly punching Linda in the face. He was ordered to pay a fine and complete 50 hours of community service in that case. He did not meet those requirements, and it appears as if nothing was done about it.

Another assault and battery charge was filed against Laird in April of 2012. In that case, he was accused of throwing his mother against a wall, choking her and repeatedly punching her. He was sentenced to home detention with his mother in their home.

Other court records show that Laird refuses to go to counseling, submit to mandatory drug tests or attend high school.

Also according to KRMG, Laird’s father, David, passed away from cancer in 2006 when Laird was 10-years-old. Court documents indicate that Laird and his father were like “best friends” and the behavior struggles were a result of the death of his father.

That’s about the time Linda stepped up to provide the psychopathic shit a home.

Laird and Sklar are both being charged with first degree murder. Both are an obvious waste… throw away the key, would ya? They’re wasting perfectly good oxygen.

Well he obviously wasn’t being raised very well if he didn’t even know which end of the gun to use.

  • Sam

Hold up. Punishment for using his mother as a punching bag was to stick him back in the home with said mother and telling him he wasn’t allowed to leave??? What the? Somebody please disbar whichever judge came up with that inspired plan.

  • Sam

Is that the soft glow of hell i can see looming up behind him?

  • Sam

See? SEE? This is why we need gun control, people!

  • JohnQknowitall

I am not blaming the victim for her beatings, but I wonder if she were instrumental in repeatedly getting this kid such small penalties. This guy is dangerous and needs to be off the street. I have never heard of someone beating a person with such force as to cause him to pass out. As far as the friend goes something is wrong there, but in extreme situations people go into numb mode and do stupid shit that ordinarily would be innocent and not douche baggy.

  • JohnQknowitall

It is interesting to see what goes on inside households owning guns. Maybe the anti gun control people are right: there is something wrong with people who want to own guns.

  • Sam

Watch your step, i wouldn’t want you to slip on the sarcasm dripping off my comment.

“He was sentenced to home detention with his mother in their home.”

Sure, lets put the cat in the birdcage and see what happens. Im sure it will be fine…..

  • OutOfBubbleGum

Well, maybe in prison he’ll finally get the help that he needs like:
“HELP! I’m being raped in the shower!” or
“HELP! They’re giving me a Rainbow Pony tat ’cause of my hair.” or
“HELP! My cellmate won’t stop eating beans.”

I remember the first time one of my kids bitched slapped me – let’s just say that hasn’t happened since. I’m not one for corporal punishment but perhaps it could have done this fuckwad some good along the way.

  • yeah….you’re right if the gun wasn’t there he couldn’t POSSIBLY have found another blunt object to beat her with……

  • My mom was petite…smaller than me. I back talked plenty (and got slapped for it a few times) but I NEVER would have lived to see the dawn if I had ever raised a hand to my mother! And yes, my mom and I have a great relationship today. Other thought I had was I bet this kid’s birth mother is thanking her lucky stars she gave him up for adoption or that could be her at the bottom of the stairs. Are some kids just born bad?

  • newstarshipsmell

I wonder… does the carpet match the drapes?

  • Sam

Hold up – you’re saying those are the drapes??

  • 18th40

You pulled out the nerf crowbar ?

  • tkaz

Puberty man…’s puberty. These kids who may/may not have chemical imbalances show up when the hormones get screwy. You don’t wait 6 yrs (or more if she didn’t die) to get your kid help when they start acting like an asshole out of the blue. You figure that shit out!
And his hair is misleading. One wouldn’t think that a person with fluffy, cotton candy hair could hurt someone.

  • brandi

i brought you in this world, and i’ll be damned if you take me out before i take you out! we are to love our children with unconditional love, but that wouldn’t have stopped me from putting a big mama beat down on this punk and showing him who the fuck he’s messing with!

  • brandi

thank you! wtf are they thinkin? he beat his mother, so lock himup with her alone…. real good fuck tards!

  • Sam

But, surely the fact that it’s ginger should have tipped her off? 😛

  • daMonBrooks

He looks like recording artist Ariel Pink,

  • darsa

Nope, just barbie-pink hair. No glow; hell doesn’t give off a warning glow.

  • alphatroll

Oklahoma is pretty much just Florida without water, right?

  • CT

We have nerf swords that are currently hidden.

  • Heather_Habilatory

Oh, man. I remember the time I thought, just because I was taller than my mother, I was badder than my mother. I’ve pretty much blocked out what happened after I hit her, but I know it wasn’t good. It wasn’t good at all.

This freak’s mother should have brought out her inner badass and she’d still be alive.

  • Heather_Habilatory

Yeah, that was totally a brilliant plan. I thought I was reading an article from the Onion for a second there.

  • daMonBrooks

My mother and I would argue, and it would go something like
Me: I could take that belt out of your hand, and pin you down, I’m to old for…
    Mom: *wack, wack, wack*

  • Eliza Berntsen

How the hell is that 17? How? Please tell me!

  • Heather_Habilatory

I don’t even like to snarky-text my mother. And I’m a grown woman.

  • 18th40

  • brandi

he looks like a fuckin unicorn on crack….

  • Heather_Habilatory

I know. I know. But you haven’t met my mother.

  • newstarshipsmell

Well, if the cat had been declawed beforehand…

  • Wolf_of_Mars

    Neutered might have helped, too…

  • Reen B

    And de-fanged…

  • Gee

Cute.. I was 15 when mouthed off once to my mom. The result was 5 lumps on the back of my head. This was when parents could still hit their kids.

  • Buffettgirl

This is a perfect example of what happens when society takes away consequences for behaving badly. Children have no direction, parents can’t discipline and people end up dead because of it. This in my humble opinion is the result to the same thinking that says “Everyone gets a trophy, and we don’t keep score.” Well we can see how well that’s working out can’t we? We now have husks of humans walking around with no conscience because they never had to develop any integrity or character. The first time this joker raised his hand to his mother his ass should have been in juvie learning what can happen when you behave badly…

  • Buffettgirl

I have one of those too – she just turned 70 and still scares the crap out of me, all 5′ 1 & 3/4″ and 105 lbs of her…

  • JohnQknowitall

It could have also been just another bat shit crazy household with guns and this guy was just too lazy to put the bullets in the gun.

  • 18th40

Would that dead have been any different from this dead ?

  • lyssdexia

    And euthanized….

  • Heather_Habilatory

My mom is 4’11. But she’s in her forties still.

  • Califboy

I think he would qualify for “cunturd” of the week, shit stain that he is…..

  • MyHovercraftIsFullofEels

Laird and Sklar sound like the names of two non-human Disney villians.

  • Athena

“Parents can’t discipline?” No. Those who don’t choose not to. As John suggested, I have little doubt this mother lobbied the court for lenient sentences because she only called the cops to “teach him a lesson” and never meant for it to go that far. If I had a dollar for every parent like that I’ve seen, I would’ve been able to pay for Law School.

That aside, this isn’t the epidemic you’re painting it out to be. Violent crime is at historic lows nationally. Teen pregnancy hit 40-year low last year. Drug use and smoking rates are down among teens. Looks like someone out there is disciplining…

  • lespacino

I wouldn’t even say it was that *nice*!

  • lespacino

Yeah, I have yet to swear in front of mine…I saw my adult brother do that once…turns out, she thinks you’re never
    too old to “spank!”

  • lespacino

I’m guessing he wanted more of a hands-on experience.

  • JGo555

I thought he was the red haired kid from “Salute Your Shorts”:

  • JGo555

  • BEastDuo

Damn, if I even thought about raising a hand to my mother, she would have knocked me into next week, and I was raised without ever been really hit. She never spanked me or anything like that. I can count on one hand the times she’s hit me and still have fingers left. But no way would I ever doubt she’d beat me stupid if I hit her.

  • I lived in Tulsa for three years. I was fond of saying it was where the wild west met Ozzie and Harriet and no one cared that Ricky grew up to be a coke abusing wife beater, because the bitch probably deserved it. Respect for women is slim to none, as there are so many fundies there. The mentality is 1950s redneck. After the 2008 elections, there was an ammunition shortage, as so many of them were sure the race riots were going to start, now that a black man was in the White House. The mentality is backwards there.

  • TruTruTrue

lol…It must have been a handbook they passed out, because mind did the same

  • TruTruTrue

These pussy’s needed a real Hispanic mother to put them in their place from jump. Mom was no joke and still is. Only once at the age of ten did I really test her. To top it off this happened while out in public. We got home and I was proud of how I had put her in her place without any repercussions. Little did I know the public embarrassment only added to her fury. The next morning, all I can remember was the curtains went up and she beat the shit out of me while in the shower. Her weapon of choice was my orange Hot Wheel tracks. Rubber tracks and a wet body make for the ultimate equalizer. From that day on, she could glare at me from a mile away and I would freeze while having flashbacks of “The Crying Game” scene.

  • midniteshadows

AWESOME! The power of a parent. My son’s 5’9″, 260lbs, and 15y/o. He knows better than to challenge me. It’s kind of funny to see him running down the hallway screaming, “I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Don’t kill me Mom!!!” All it takes is x1 to go psycho Mom from hell.

  • newstarshipsmell

    Well that’s no fun.

  • “Now, you’re telling me you were so ingrained with white trash DNA, your facial hair actually grows in on its own all white trashy like that?”

  • I was thinking more along the lines of Joe Dirt.

  • Nice pink hair. What a serious piece of shit scum fuck dog boy

  • LeaveMeBe

Stories like this break my heart and scare the shit out of me. I cannot tell you how many times a week I talk with a parent who is terrified of their child and they are stuck. It doesn’t surprise me one bit that even after all the times he assaulted her that he was slapped on the wrist and forced back into her custody. I hear it all the time. And if they refuse to take them back, the parent is threatened with criminal charges, and if they have other children, that threat means removing those children, also. Our social services system and juvenile justice system is so fucked up.

  • LeaveMeBe

It’s the law everywhere, fucked up as it is the judges really have very little leeway.

  • LeaveMeBe

LOL. I feel ya. I never harmed my kids, but I always gave the impression that they didn’t fully know me and what I might be capable of. There was nothing quite as funny as when they thought they crossed a line and flinched and back-pedaled just in case. OK, there was that one time that my 17 yo daughter, while completely out of control, yelled FUCK YOU at me. I told her(very calmly) to not say that and she did it again. The second time I told her if she said it again I was going to slap her mouth. Yeah, I ended up having to slap her mouth but she didn’t say anything else after that. The sad thing was she was hurt and upset by someone else, not even at me really, but I happened to be in the line of fire. It broke my heart into a million pieces and I ended up crying myself to sleep that night but I mean what I say and it was reinforced to her that night.

  • LeaveMeBe

Why don’t you ask if you can check on that?

  • LeaveMeBe

You forgot to insert the part about you screaming, crying and begging…

  • Everything is more out there now though, it just seems like shits happening more because news travels faster.

  • See, I can already see this happening with my oldest, but I’m 5’7″ and pretty stout for someone with my size and build.

    My body is ready.

  • Jessica Stewart

His mom probably never said “I brought you into this world, and I can take you out of it”…maybe that would have helped?

  • Jessica Stewart

I’m curious if the son learned his ‘woman-beatin’ ways’ from the father and that’s why the father and mother were divorced.

  • techsupp0rt

He’ll enjoy Oklahoma’s wide open spaces… he loves to run and run and run…

  • alphatroll

Don’t take the cork off the fork!

  • brian

fuken lowlife the judge who let him out after beating his mother should share a fucken cell with him!!!!!!!!!!

  • Heather_Habilatory

Shut up. We ALL know judges can sentence you to live on the moon if they want to. THEY’RE JUDGES!

  • Heather_Habilatory

My oldest still likes me. It’s the toddler that hates me right now, I’m sure of it.

  • Heather_Habilatory

My mom hit me only that one time. I don’t think she even spanked me ever, because I don’t remember her ever spanking me. But I KNOW had I hit her more than that one time, she’d have beat my ass.

  • Heather_Habilatory

Shit. I have a Norwegian/Swedish mother, and they are some evil bitches too.

  • nowitzki41

there is nothing wrong with wanting to own guns. if you’re a responsible person nothing bad will come of it. only good if something dramatic were to happen to you. Dont punish society for a person’s wrong actions.

  • LeaveMeBe

Damn you for making me laugh.

  • He probably gave her an extreme makeover shot gun butt edition for making him a ginger. I don’t blame him!

  • newstarshipsmell

if you’re a responsible person nothing bad will come of it. only good if something dramatic were to happen to you.

There’s plenty of stories about gun owners having their own weapons used against them by criminals…

  • Sam

Or even by a curious child just wanting to play cops & robbers.

  • EveryVillainIsLemons

  • Jack2

Ok, I am pretty much lost on what to type here. This death could have been prevented I mean look at all those past abuse that he did. He did not want any help and did not want to change. The best place would have been in prison or probably just force and require him to get help. Poor woman. She did not need to be around this. Although it is very questionable at how he did get off easy in the first place. I have heard that some people who get abused by someone that lived with them get off easy because the victim had something to do with it. Not saying the adoptive mom had, but it just something to put out there. I know if someone tried to beat me to death, I’m not gonna give them a second chance. I’m staying as far away as possible.

  • Lena60

    lmfao daMon…sorry 🙂

  • Anna B

That’s who he reminds me of! I couldn’t think of the name!

  • I actually want to know more about his life, like did he have friends ? or like what did he do in his free time, does anyone know ? He sounds like he’s a super douche so I’m curious who he is

  • Humanist99

And why wasn’t he sentenced to spend time in detention or residential treatment facility when he failed to follow through with his previous consequences?
