BOLIVAR, MO – Police in Missouri say one man’s plot to commit mass murder at a TWILIGHT screening was foiled after they were contacted by the man’s mother.

On Thursday, the mother of 20-year-old Blaec Lammers contacted police to inform them that her son had gone off his meds and had recently purchased weapons and ammo similar to those used by a gunman inside a theater in Aurora, CO, that claimed the lives of 12 people. She went on to say that she thought her son was intending to shooting people during the opening of the new TWILIGHT movie.

Lammers was taken in for questioning and admitted to police that he had purchased a ticket for a Sunday showing of the latest TWILIGHT movie with every intention of using his recently purchased firearms to shoot the people in the theater. However, he had changed his mind.

He told police he decided that he was going to shoot up a local Walmart instead.  He figured that would a be a perfect place for his killing spree because when he ran out of his ammo, he could just reload with Walmart’s.

“Blaec Lammers stated that he would walk into the store and just start shooting people at random and if he ran out of ammunition,” according to court documents. “He would just break the glass where the ammunition is stored and get some more and keep on shooting until police arrived. Blaec Lammers then stated that he would then turn himself into police when they arrived.”

On Friday Lammers was charged with three felonies; first-degree assault, making a terroristic threat and armed criminal action. He is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.

Father Accused Of Killing Infant Son By Kneeling On Baby's Chest

“To be completely honest, the mother was very, very courageous,” said Darin Chappell, Bolivar city administrator. “A lot of parents would have been more tempted to protect their child than to consider the public’s safety, but she was very forthcoming.”

Lammers did not start having thoughts of committing mass murder until after he stopped taking medication for a mentl condition, according to the court documents. Law enforcement officials plan to ask a judge to require Lammers undergo a mental health evaluation when he is back in court on Wednesday.

Kind of scary to think that whenever you are in a public setting, that there may be a Lammers sitting near you, off his meds and armed to to the teeth.

    Good job, Mom. Fuck Twilight.

  • newstarshipsmell

Twilight? Walmart? This dude could’ve been a national hero.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
    Ev’rywhere you go;
Take a look in the five and ten glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
    Toys in ev’ry store
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be
    On your own front door.

  • OutOfBubbleGum

    Phenomenal job mom.!!

You single handily saved the crime lab thousands of hours in work not having to tell the murdered victims from the suicides.

  • imagine how the people that went to the same screening of the movie that this dumbass planned to go on a shooting spree at. . . .that must be a really scary thought for them :O

  • Have you ever been to Bolivar, MO? Had a college roommate from there. She took me home with her once. Once. Astonishingly boring. They would drive around and around the square all night, yelling from car to car, drinking, goofing around, to entertain themselves. My college town of Springfield, MO, looked like Manhattan by comparison. And I don’t mean Manhattan, Kansas, either.

  • JohnQknowitall

    Fuck Walmart!

  • LeaveMeBe

Hate to have to go here again, but we need to bring asylums back. With mental issues this severe, and folks quitting or refusing their medication, they are a safe option.

And hooray for mom for doing the right thing regardless of how much it hurt her.

  • I’ve been in Polk County Jail. I got arrested on a warrant for an unpaid ticket on my way to Springfield. FUCK BOLIVAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND SPEEDING TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • tkaz

I know this could happen anywhere but my teen daughter was begging to go see the new Twilight midnight premiere. It was a school night & her curfew is loooooooong before midnight but still…..shit like this scares the crap outta me.

  • joshua

your life is sad when it’s your own mom who turns you in for a crime

  • CT

    You forgot, fuck Twilight.

  • CT

Funny that you say fuck Walmart. I was in a Walmart last week and I asked a guy that worked there about Thanksgiving decorations and he proceeded to walk all around the store with me and bitch about Black Friday and working on Thanksgiving. He just kept saying in a very angry voice – OH, they will see, just wait and see what happens. I got the fuck out of there. I now see they plan to strike so it is somewhat better than what I thought might go down. I will now stay out of Walmart again like I try to do anyway. IN hindsight I should have called someone after I left.

  • LeaveMeBe

I’m trying really hard not to even think the name.

  • Coyote

Are you off your meds John?

  • Clyde The Dog

  • Well she named him Blaec. So I’m assuming mental illness runs in the family?

  • come_and_see

What’s up with people with mental issues being able to get LEGAL gun licenses?

  • Evan Oswald

your kid liking Twilight should scare you more

At first I thought they meant Bolivar, Tn. Then I realized it was Missouri and was like why the hell would they replicate a piece of shit town in another state lol.

Nonononono….you don’t get it. I do, because I’m a mom. I had to read the entire series before she could because she was still in elementary school….so I understand the hype. Is it well written? No. Are the movies great? No. Did they manage to create a movie franchise that not only mirrored the series well but created enough manic fans and merchandising genius to put any business know-how to shame? Yes.
I don’t buy into it, I’m an adult. But I GET it. Annnnnnd teens are not known for thinking out of the box, they just want to go have fun with their friends, past curfew if possible. She’s not a “Twerd” she’s just a 14 yr old who wants to be where the action is.
So….to wrap up that insanely serious post – I don’t want my 14 yr old where the action is. 😛

Was he stroking his mustache as he laid out his dastardly plan?

  • Sam

Blaec? She named him after her morning sickness??

I think it’s absolutely deplorable that materialism is eating into Thanksgiving in such a way. To rip tens of thousands of retail employees away from their families on Thanksgiving just so they can satiate the American need for cheap crap disgusts me. On a day meant for giving thanks and spending time with family, we perform selfish acts in the name of an approaching holiday associated with generosity. Ugh. I kind of hope one of these retail employees snaps and takes out some greedy consumers.

  • Chinchillazilla

What’s the difference between an asylum and a psychiatric hospital, if you wouldn’t mind saying? Google isn’t helping me beyong saying the latter replaced the former. I always thought they were synonyms.

  • JohnQknowitall

One store is decorating for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. Too bad it costs the earth to shop there.

  • Athena

Nordstrom is a local (Seattle) company, and I’m not at all surprised. They’re a great company to work for and shop at. It is pricey, but at least you can know you’re supporting a company that pays their employees decently, treats their customers with respect and supports the community.

…and their outlet stores (Norstrom Rack) are awesome.

  • LeaveMeBe

Not much that I can think of. I just use asylum because it gets people’s goat. The only difference I can think of is the images it provokes. And the fact that a lot of asylums took in indigent and poor people as well as those that could pay. Anymore you have to be loaded to even begin to consider it as an option.

  • FrikkenFrak

I figured the whole thing out as soon as I saw his first name.

    Blaec?? Really?
So he’s pissed off at the world for having a jacked up spelling of Blake and mom turned him in to relieve her guilt for coming up with that stupid ass name that stigmatized him.

  • GGMon

As much as people give Twilight a bad name, being a person who isn’t a fan of the novels, the movies isn’t all too bad (Fuck you i say this with an open mind lol)…if you ignore a lot of the self loathing, destructive behavior the protagonist puts herself into.
But on a serious note, one of my best friends loves that movie. If some asshat would have done that the day she went to check in, I seriously wouldn’t know what to do. I love her too much and couldn’t fathom her not being around.

I didn’t care for the fact that Thanksgiving seemed to get skipped over this year. My preschooler noticed right away and even with his glee that Christmas is coming he knew that we needed to celebrate Thanksgiving before we talked about Christmas. I can’t even get this kid to give me ideas for Christmas because Thanksgiving isn’t over. Having said all of that – I have worked for the same company for 18 years now, it’s not in retail and I don’t have to work on Thanksgiving. But I haven’t had an increase now for 4 years and it gets hard sometimes but I also need to remember that I have a job, have health insurance, get paid vacation, etc. There are parts of my job that are fucking ridiculous that I even am asked to do them – but again – I have a job. It pays the bills and if I don’t like it – I should STFU and go somewhere else. My two cents.

  • Andyman

I agree. I’ve been with my company for 13 years and I got my first 3% raise in three years this past june. But I like what I do and it could always be worse. I mean look at all my free time I have during the day to read DD. 😉 Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

  • Gee

Athena I agree 100%. Every fucking year we start this shit earlier and earlier. All I could think about while reading your post was the dumbshits camping out here in front of Best Buy and having family members bring bring them Thanksgiving dinner. I was thinking exactly what said about someone taking them out. There are all a bunch of sitting ducks. LOL… I WILL NOT SUPPORT THIS RIDICULOUSNESS…

  • LeaveMeBe

You should do a drive-by water ballooning. On a bicycle. Be sure and take a flood light to blind them with first so they can’t give the cops a description of you or the get away vehicle. 🙂

  • JGo555

He could’ve done the world a favor, a Twihater could say…

  • alphatroll

I love joking around about blowing away Twilight fans and WalMart shoppers. (Who doesn’t?) And I’m also currently “off my meds” (not by choice). I guess that means it’s a good thing that I don’t own any guns…

  • I’m still trying to pronounce his name….blayek blayk blay ek bl

  • The part about reloading with Walmart ammo cracked me up. Aren’t you glad people can buy weapons without background checks?

has been sentenced to two 15-year concurrent prison sentences.
Blaec Lammers, 21, was sentenced Thursday to 15 years on each charge, with the terms to run concurrently.
He pleaded guilty in late January to charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action.
but his mother said there has to be a different answer when she emotionally spoke to reporters.
“And yes he had psych eval in St. Joe and yes he has a personality disorder so does that justify that we send him to prison because he’s a little bit different? I don’t think it means that we send him away because he’s different, I think we find him help,” Tricia Lammers said.
Tricia Lammers said her son suffers from depression, anti-social disorder and borderline personality disorder.
