Upset Over Obama Victory, Woman Runs Over Non-Voting Husband

GILBERT, AZ - A woman in Arizona was so angry over Obama winning the presidential elections that she ran down her husband with her vehicle after an argument over his not voting.

According to the police report, 28-year-old Holly Solomon got into an argument with her husband regarding Barack Obama winning a second term. Holly feels that Obama is the blame for her family’s ills, and is now looking at four more years of struggling.

Aside from blaming all of those who voted him in, she also blamed the people who did not vote at all; her husband included. Witnesses say the couple had been yelling at each other as they sat inside a Jeep SUV, but when Daniel got out of the vehicle, Holly lost her goddamn marbles.

“He got out of the car and she was screaming at him. And he started walking away and she started driving in circles around him and she wouldn’t let him go so finally he took off to try to get away and she ran into him,” a caller told a 911 dispatcher.

But Holly wasn’t happy with just hitting her husband with the Jeep. After Daniel tried hiding behind a light pole while Holly drove circles around it while yelling at him, the poor guy tried to make a run for it. He didn’t get too far before Holly ran him over and pinned him to a curb.

Daniel was taken to the hospital in critical condition, while Holly was taken to jail for domestic violence charges of aggravated assault. Daniel told police that his wife really hated Obama and that she was six months pregnant.

Good luck with that, Daniel. Now let’s see how long it takes before someone in the comments calls Obama a terrorist or Romney a murderer.

What an idjit. Doesn’t she know that the U.S. President is not elected by popular vote but rather by the electoral college? Arizona went to Romney by more than 50%, so his vote in the matter would have been irrelevant.

Now, if he’d been in a narrowly decided swing state…

I know a LOT of people who were seriously emotionally and physically affected by the turn out here in AZ. We’re mostly Republican but I know plenty of career welfare people who literally prayed for Obama. I don’t know how to convey it best, but people around here MOURNED after the election. It’s almost that the electoral votes didn’t even matter anymore, people were so distressed that that ONE vote could’ve changed everything in their eyes.
All I can say is…..it was crazy.
Now….I TOO have a little resentment for people who didn’t vote. But I don’t go around trying to kill them….how are we going to convince people to vote if they’re all dead?

Okay, AZ resident, excellent. I lazily tried to google this earlier, but gave up after like twenty seconds. What other local stuff was on the ballot? Anything that matters like referendums or whatever you call them? Because, that would, not justify, but at least make her reaction less totally-insane, if there were outcomes he could have actually affected. (Unlike the POTUS, since AZ was clearly going to Romney.)

Anything that raised taxes didn’t pass – even if it was for the schools. Me, I’m ok with a raise in taxes only because my kids are in public school.
A few dems here, a few repubs there elected. Sheriff Arpaio elected again (I’m sure you’ve heard of him).
Prop 114 passed – that means we cannot be sued by our attacker if they get hurt by us after they break-in our home.
There were PLENTY of reasons to vote besides the Presidential Election. But I don’t know that his ONE vote would’ve helped any of it.

Prop 114 is the smartest thing AZ residents did with that ballot. Every state should have a law like that. Luckily, it’s not entirely over-shadowed by the mega-fail that is the re-election of Arpaio since, theoretically, that piece of legislation will live long after Joe’s bones are rotting in the dirt.

Everyone loved Prop 114 (me too) but no one loved that our kids would have the education they need. Very frustrating when school supplies cost me $300/yr & fundraisers/added costs cost me about $100….then they ask for a $200 tax deductible donation. It adds up! My pal in Massachusetts paid $7 for school supplies for 1 child.
ANYWAY (I’m rambling now), Arpaio has worn out his welcome mat. I am a 3rd generation Arizonan & I am tired of him. BUT….many like his no-nonsense approach & I’m not sure he’ll ever be voted out.

Ugh. People need to suck it up and deal. I understand losing really sucks, but it’s been over a week now and I’m getting sick of the temper tantrums. A couple days ago some lady actually walked up to my parked car and SPIT on it, then flipped me the bird, all because I had a couple Obama bumper stickers on it. She did this in front of my 5 year old daughter, who cried the whole way home.

I really don’t get how people can be so emotionally invested in something so out-of-their-hands. Maybe it’s an American thing – i’ve never seen anything like it (at least not on the scale it seems to be in the States) in the UK or Holland. For the record, i think just about everybody outside of your borders was happy when Obama got in (again), but a mum at my son’s school who’s just moved here from the US was actually crying. Oh, how i had to bite my tongue…
