Woman Stabbed Two Children To Death Because Demonic Voices Told Her To

Naperville, Ill – A woman in Illinois has been charged with two counts of murder after she stabbed two children to death because voices told her it was the only way to save their souls.
I’ve collected the following details from a few news articles, but from what I can gather, 40-year-old Elzbieta Plackowska was babysitting 5-year-old Olivia Dworakowski at her home, along with her her 8-year-old son, Justin Plackowska. At some point on Tuesday, Plackowska packed up the children and drove to a nearby church before driving to Olivia’s home. During this time, she argued on the phone with her husband because she had recently lost her father and wanted to return to her native Poland, but her husband wanted to stay here.
On top of all that, according to Plackowska, she was hearing demonic voices that were informing her that the children’s souls were in peril and that the only way to save them would be to volunteer at a nearby homeless shelter stab the children to death. Instead of disobeying the demonic voices, she stabbed Justin and Olivia to death, along with two dogs. Afterwards, she got into her car and drove back to the church she visited previously. No one was there, so she left several messages on the church’s answering machine before tossing her cellphone out of the window and driving to her adult son’s house.
Her son, seeing his mother distraught, covered in blood, and missing two children, figured something terrible had happened and called 911. At around the same time, Olivia’s mother was frantically calling police because she was unable to find her daughter after working the evening shift at a dialysis lab and arriving at Plackowska’s home to pick up her daughter. Police would end up breaking into that woman’s home where they would find Justin dead on a mattress in a bedroom and Olivia dead on the floor. They had been stabbed multiple times.
Prosecutors say that Plackowska admitted she killed Justin because she wanted her husband to hurt like she did. Plackowska told investigators she found Justin and Olivia jumping on the bed and then attacked them with a knife. She made the children kneel and begin praying before stabbing her son Justin 100 times and slitting his throat. Justin begged for his life and told her to stop, but she told him he was going to Heaven tonight and continued to stab him. She then stabbed Olivia 50 times because she had witnessed the attack.
Olivia was a student at Brookdale Elementary while Justin attended Scott Elementary. The Chicago Tribune reported that crime scene tape was up in front of Olivia’s home on Halloween while kids went trick-or-treating in the neighborhood, while outside Plackowska’s home, a young boy looked up at Justin’s balcony and called out the boy’s name before turning away after receiving no answer.
