LSU Student Accused Of Trying To Kill her Mother For Inheritance MoneyNew Orleans, LA – This happened last week, but it has been siting in draft for days and I am tired of looking at it. A 19-year-old LSU student has been charged with attempted murder after police say she tried to kill her mother for inheritance money.

Last week, 52-year-old Sherri Boover received a knock on her door at 4.30am. When she looked through the peephole, she was greeted by her smiling daughter, Nicole Boover. But when she opened the door, Nicole pulled out a handgun and aimed it at her. The quick thinking mother immediately slammed the door shut before Nicole fired several rounds into the door and ran off.

Uninjured, Sherri called police and informed them they could probably find Nicole at the LSU dorms where she was currently staying. Outside of the dorm, police would find Nicole’s car with 18-year-old Nathan Yuhas, a friend and classmate of Nicole’s, sitting inside it. They would find Nicole in her dorm room.

Yuhas would spill his guts pretty quickly, telling investigators that Nicole had enlisted his help in murdering her parents in order to collect a $500,000 inheritance from which he would get a $50,000 cut. He said he was with Nicole when she bought duct tape, gloves and SCREAM masks. After killing her mother, Yahus says the pair were going to leave the state.

Nicole was charged with attempted first-degree murder with bail set at $500,000. Yuhas was charged with serving as a principal to attempted first-degree murder. His bail was set at $100,000.

The family’s minister told reporters that Nicole “is a good person” and that the family is working on “restoring the family order that has always been there.” On Thursday, Nicole’s aunt made a post on Facebook that stated: “Nicole Boover is an amazing person with many outstanding qualities. Thinking ahead and considering consequences is not one of them.”

    ha!

  • everjaded

I love how her bail is the same amount as her inheritance money would have been!

They would be wise to just disown her ass.

    The universe loves irony

    Yeah, that was pretty sweet

It was awfully kind of her aunt to omit “not being a greedy, self-centered, cold-blooded matricide” from that statement.

    From the second article:
“Court records suggest that Boover’s mother is not exceptionally wealthy. She asserted during her divorce case that she did not have “sufficient income for her maintenance” and should as a result receive financial support from Richard Boover.”

For such an “amazing person with many outstanding qualities,” she sure did fail her homework assignment on this one. Unless you accept that she intended on following through with murdering her father, as well, in which case, her other “qualities” recede even further to the bottom of my “don’t give a fuck.”

Yeah I would have to say that someone doing any kind of murder must be a filthy rotten person at heart. If you are that cold towards your fellow man you are an evil person worthy of condemnation. If you show no mercy you shall receive no mercy.

Wow, and she made it to college!?

  • Pipsmom06

    Especially towards your own mother…wtf?

  • Pipsmom06

    Just LSU

$500,000 bail? I wonder where she is now. (yeah right) Seems unfair that he friend would only get $50,000, but got stuck with a $100,000 bail. My heart goes out to him. (yeah right)

I agree 100% she’s a bad apple and leaving her alone and pennyless would serve her right.

  • Cleanskin

That quote is something I expect to read on DD

I can sort of understand the gloves to avoid gsr, but wtf did she buy the duct tape and SCREAM masks for?? To make sure that her mum’s body wouldn’t escape or recognise her AFTER she shot her??

    Amateur hour again!

I don’t know, if my kid tries to shoot my ass, “restoring the family order” is not what I’m working on while the little shit sits in jail. But I hold a grudge a little longer than most.

    hahaha right?

Nooooooooooo…..say it isn’t so. You know with her stellar accomplishments of attempted murder, toward her mother nonetheless. What an asshole.

  • LuvsHorror

Yeah, she seems like a real sweetheart.

Pretty gut-reaction from Mom closing the door so quick. Most parents I think would just be dumbfounded – or think it all a joke – if their kid pulled a gun on them. Maybe Mom knows her spawn all too well.

Now she can kiss that inheritance goodbye, along with her freedom. All because she wanted it NOWWWWWWWW!

  • Badnewz730

People don’t realize how easy it is for a teen to be a “Wonderful person” to their family while inside (or even just outside the house) they are completely different people. once someone tries to kill their parents for money…you look like a naive idiot trying to say what a great person they “really” are.

  • AliceinChainsman =]

shes good at what? gee suprise mom.. real Suave

  • abbys_mom

Jesus. Her aunt makes it sound like she just stole some candy or wrecked a car…I mean, it’s not like she just tried to blow a hole in her MOTHER, right?

  • Pinkiepie

Perhaps family order is code for ‘foot to ass’?

  • onlyme356

Why are people stating what a great person she is? She tried to kill her own mother for money. I think you lose any decent title you previousy upheld once that happens.

  • LeaveMeBe

    Understatement of the year, no?
