Former Bengals Cheerleader And Teacher Accepts Plea Deal In Student Sex Case

COVINGTON, KY — The former Bengals cheerleader and high school teacher, accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student, has accepted a plea deal.
Sarah Jones, 27, was a cheerleader for the Bengals for five years before she started teaching English at Dixie Heights High School in Kentucky. She has been under house arrest after being charged with sexual abuse, accused of sleeping with a 16-year-old football player at the school in 2011. The alleged sexual relationship with the student took place between October 1 and December 31.
She would deny she ever had sex with the student, claiming the rumors were started by a bitter ex-girlfriend of the teen, but did admit that there were over 9,000 pages of photos, Facebook messages and texts between her and the student. Aside from the sexual abuse charge, she was also charged with unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities.
Her trial was to start this Wednesday, where she was facing up to 5 years in prison if convicted. The deal she accepted will mean she will not have to stand trial, but the exact details of the deal have not been revealed. Not so coincidentally, she accepted this deal two weeks after Judge Patricia Summe denied Jones’ motion to suppress evidence involving text messages between her and the student.
Jones’ mother, 56-year-old Cheryl Jones, will also accept a plea agreement. The former principal of Twenhofel Middle School was charged with tampering with physical evidence in her daughter’s case.
Some of you may remember Jones in the headlines a few years back after she sued TheDirty.com for posting photographs that branded her a slut and having two STDs. She went on a media blitz at the time, even appearing on Anderson Cooper’s show. At the time, she said she was using the incident as a “teachable moment” after her students began asking her questions about it. “It was then I decided I had nothing to hide,” Jones said. “There is nothing I need to back down from.” Aside from the high school football player, that is.
That case is still in litigation, but I’m guessing this latest development is not going to help her any. I know we’ll get the standard “where were these teachers when I was in school” comments, but let me go ahead and answer that for you… they were there, they were just fucking the good-looking football players. I used the photo as link bait but in reality, Jones really isn’t all that attractive — as evident by her mugshot and recent court picture. That’s a rough looking 27.
