Man Suing Penthouse Club After Claiming Stripper Ruptured His BladderPhiladelphia, PA – A man in Philly is suing the Penthouse Club after he says a stripper ruptured his bladder during her performance at his bachelor party.

The incident happened in 2010 while Patrick Gallagher was enjoying the last days of happiness he would remember before he asked for his soul to be slowly devoured over the course of many years.

To celebrate Gallagher making the worst mistake of his life, they purchased him the bachelor’s package, which included a special dance from one of the dancers. This dance included Gallagher being brought onstage and instructed to lie on his back beneath a pole.

One of the dancers then climbed up the pole during her performance, and “from a great height, she launched herself down onto his abdomen,” said his attorney, Neil T. Murray.

The landing left Gallagher in so much pain that he and his friends left. The next morning, Gallagher was in so much pain that he decided to go to the hospital. That’s when it was discovered that he had a ruptured bladder. Aside from needing sugery to repair the damage, Murray said that Gallagher also suffered nerve damage in his back and hip.

The lawsuit accuses the club of negligence and is asking for at least $50,000 for medical costs, pain, humiliation and mental anguish.

This wouldn’t be the first time this club has been sued. Other lawsuits include alleged bouncer beatings, overserving of alcohol, and the unauthorized use of a woman’s photographs in club advertisements. This also isn’t the first time this club has been in the news. Last November, seven dancers and a manager were arrested on prostitution charges.

How many lap dances can one get for $50,000? I’d say 2400 – I needed to leave room for the Depends he will be buying for a while I’d imagine.

  • Transducer

It ruptured his bladder, but his dick survived? Not sure if he has a dainty bladder or a really durable penis.

  • Andyman

“To celebrate Gallagher making the worst mistake of his life..”
Morbid you find the damnedest ways of making me laugh. lol

  • http://www.facebook.com/lorraine.nation.3 Lorraine Nation

He didn’t see that coming ………obviously!

  • LeaveMeBe

Why is he waiting until now to sue? Did he get married after his surgery? Is he now getting a divorce? Did the trip to the stripper club have anything to do with why he’s getting divorced, directly or indirectly? Why is he humiliated and in mental anguish?
I have got to lay off the steroids.

  • newstarshipsmell

I guess the upshot of this will be the club will now require all recipients of the onstage portion of the package to visit the restroom beforehand, and void any rupturables, probably with a security guard present to witness it for liability’s sake. Perhaps a special drink with laxatives and diuretics mixed in could be served to the bachelor to assist in safety compliance.

  • Gee

Love the picture of the Fluffy Pole Dancer. I imagine if she was the one landing on him he would have more to contend with then bladder rupture and back problems. I could see the mental anguish part too

Your bladder isn’t in your dick :3

  • newstarshipsmell

Yeah, I’m guessing his bride probably suffered a moment of doubt when she walked down the aisle and spotted him waiting in a wheelchair.

  • tinalib13

How is jumping on someone’s abdomen from a great height sexual? I mean what’s the point? I must be missing something. Hmmmmm…

  • tinalib13

Yes, I’m thinking he’d have been paralyzed!

  • Athena

He’s probably waiting until now to sue because he may have been trying to negotiate with the club/insurance companies outside of the court system. No idea about the rest. :P

  • Sam

Is this a new pastime for strippers? Jousting with your pubic bone?

  • http://www.facebook.com/kehko Kersten Kringlen

It’d only break if it was in a certain condition, wouldn’t it?

  • OutOfBubbleGum

    “Case DISMISSED!!”

Patrick Gallagher is a man. He won’t remember the stripper’s name, her face, her outfit, her shoes, …, but he will remember her bust size (BIG).

  • Gee

Awwww… Look I’m getting down votes like all the regulars are now. I must have arrived! Now if I could only get me a stalker like @LeaveMeBe:disqus and @CTCT:disqus

  • Rachel Ann

    Yea I got nothing…

  • LeaveMeBe

Makes perfect sense. *nodding head* As for the rest, you couldn’t even speculate?

  • Athena

I’m guessing they still got married, are not yet divorced, and the stripper is a non-issue aside from the injury (dude’s got the sympathy card; what kind of woman would leave her man for an injury sustained during traditional pre-wedding hijinx?). As for the mental anguish and humiliation… I’d make fun of this guy for this if I was his buddy, wouldn’t you?

  • Athena

I think my down-vote stalker gave up on me. It was a short but thrilling affair. :(

  • newstarshipsmell

Mine too – now I’m back to just most of my comments being downvoted, as they should be.

  • sam1211

Why is all the comments being hidden?!?! some people on a down voting spree??? jeezee I have to keep clicking “view comment” to see everyone’s conversations -_-

  • EveryVillainIsLemons

Some thin-skinned jerk reported Gee, Tina, and LMB for “abuse,” so I had to click on their comments to see them. I really wish that people would grow up and grow thicker skins.

  • Athena

Yep. I’m looking for a way to override the flagging. So far, not finding anything.

  • LoKi4778

And this is why I generally stick to the forum pages… the folks back there are much harder to offend…

  • Athena

Better now? Looks like the just go into the spam folder, and I have to manually approve them.

So, ultimately, don’t take the hidden comments personally. Apparently, this fucker really hates me. :P

  • Athena

Those meds ARE messing with your head. :P

  • Athena

I know it wasn’t you. You wouldn’t have flagged yourself that many times… or wouldn’t you? A little hiding in plain sight, perhaps? ;)

  • Transducer

I’ve only given one down vote since I’ve been here. I generally don’t vote on comments. I don’t know how to flag comments. Look, someone gave your comment a down vote. I wasn’t me.

  • Transducer

Some men are so happy to be in the presence of a naked woman that it clouds their better judgement.

  • Transducer

After careful analysis of down votes and the subject matter, I have concluded the down voter bears a strong resemblance to the person pictured in the OP.

  • newstarshipsmell

When you hover the mouse over a comment, you’ll see a hyphen and down arrow in the upper right corner. The hyphen(/plus) collapses(/expands) the comment, the down arrow opens a menu with “Flag as inappropriate” as the only option.

  • newstarshipsmell

Do you know for certain that it’s a user flagging the comments, and not just Disqus glitching out again? Check out http://www.dreamindemon.com/2012/08/21/beauty-school-students-file-lawsuit-claiming-sexual-harassment/ and the three stories following it – they’re all missing comments that show up on the site w/out Disqus enabled, but disappear when the script executes, and there’s a few comments that got “flagged for review” there as well.

  • http://www.facebook.com/HamsterNinjaofDOOM Alecia Hendricks

True, but it said she smashed his abdomen.

  • Transducer

Since you’ve obviously never seen an erect penis and pondered it’s location with respect to a bladder, I’m here to tell you that the two locations can overlap. Hence my original comment.

  • Transducer

Cool story bro! BTW, are you settling on the guy who looks like Spock avatar or do you change it up every week?

  • EveryVillainIsLemons

I guess the biggest lesson we can take from this is to be sure to urinate prior to getting a lap dance.

  • tinalib13

I upvoted your comment just to outweigh the downvote. Take that downvoter person! I always feel good when someone downvotes me. I feel like a real member of the site then. ;)

  • tinalib13

Nope, he seems to still be stalking. :)

    Omg

  • Gee

Oohhh…. I got reported for abuse….. Whoo hoo its a party now.

Nobody goes to a Gallagher show without getting wet or sprayed with something..

  • Abroad

I know I made one response to a post of yours that went missing entirely after being “in moderation”. Not sure what was so bad about it; but then what do I know?

  • JohnQknowitall

    You are crazy mean! lol

  • neenaP

I am sure the suit was filed before it was reported on by the news. It takes time to gather evidence and this has to be done before the suit is filed.

  • neenaP

I don’t see where it states the suit was filed now and not beforehand. He has two years to file anyway.

  • neenaP

It is the club’s fault for allowing the dancer to fall on the victim from the pole. Its obvious he could be injured. They should have just sat him in a chair and danced on him, the normal routine.

  • newstarshipsmell

As I said to Athena previously, I suspect it is Disqus failing, rather than anyone maliciously flagging comments. Something similar happened in August for an entire day, and during that time the Disqus script either failed to execute, or did so sluggishly and with strange errors. If it was particular users prone to making controversial/inflammatory comments being targeted, I’d suspect otherwise. But it seems like the comments being flagged (as well as those disappearing entirely) are totally random, with some of them from users who rarely post making rather innocuous remarks. That doesn’t rule out someone maliciously abusing the comment system for more generally disruptive purposes, but it seems less likely. I’ve noticed my dashboard behaving erratically the past few days, too – either taking unusually long to load comments, or loading the wrong stream, depending on which stream tab I click.

Thank you. I try. I really do.

  • newstarshipsmell

I dunno, I usually switch it out every couple weeks or so, but I’m feeling rather partial to Obama simultaneously signalling “live long and prosper” and “go fuck yourself.” I may keep it awhile. At least, until the jailed murderer/author sends me a DCMA.
