Woman Accused Of Beating Ex With His Prosthetic Leg

September 11, 2012 at 2:01 pm by

Woman Accused Of Beating Ex With His Prosthetic LegOKALOOSA COUNTY, FL – A woman in Florida has been accused of taking off her ex-boyfriend’s prosthetic leg and then beating him with it during an argument.

Police say 25-year old Brandon Fleming and 23-tear-old Jadian Faye-Marie Hatfield got into an argument regarding their two-year-old boy. Although they had agreed they would exchange their son every two weeks, Fleming says Hatfield showed up to his house on his week demanding he turn over their child.

Fleming told her no and went to call the police. During this time, Hatfield took their son and climbed out of a bedroom window before placing him in the backseat a car. Fleming says when he tried to get his son out of the car two men, who had accompanied Hatfield, began assaulting him.

It was during this altercation that Fleming says Hatfield came up behind him, removed his prosthetic leg, and then began beating him with it. Afterwards she reportedly pointed a shotgun at Fleming and threatened to kill him if he did not let her leave. He wisely stood back as she drove off with their child and the two other men.

Warrants were issued for Hatfield and she was arrested a few days later on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, domestic violence battery, interfering with the custody of a minor, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

I’m sure most of you picked up on the “convicted felon” portion of that last charge, but for the life of me I can not find what she was convicted of in the past. She may be crazy with nice hair, but I have to know what that previous conviction was before I go any further with our relationship.

(Edit: Thanks to Michelle, I have learned that at 19, Hatfield was charged with battery, grand theft and robbery in February 2008. In June 2008 she was charged with dealing in stolen property and cocaine possession. Looks like she’s a keeper!)

Surprisingly, this isn’t the first story on DD that featured a woman accused of beating a man with a prosthetic leg. Back in June, a woman in North Carolina was accused of doing the same thing during an argument over groceries.

She has accomplished quite a bit in her 25 years, I am sure her parents must be proud. lol

  • CT

Typical woman always trying to get a leg up on her man.

  • OutOfBubbleGum

Well, if I ever have to have a prostatic leg, I’d want one that looks like a bomb with a red flashing LED, a 60 second digital count down LCD and, makes a rapid ticking sound.

That’s why it’s always smart to exchange your kids at the police station…

  • JohnQknowitall

She was charged with interfering with custody. The mother almost always gets custody. My guess is that court already recognized her for a dysfunctional hot mess.

  • JohnQknowitall

Hatfield? You have got to be kidding me.

Maybe people should run background checks on each other before breeding.

    Thanks!

    Isn’t that enough?

  • sugarpie

I often threaten my kid that if he doesn’t stop pissing me off, that I will beat him with his own shoe. She has one up on me…

  • http://www.dreamindemon.com Morbid

Apparently not. She was also charged with dealing in stolen property and cocaine possession a few months later. I have updated the article with links to her past arrests.

What I don’t get is, surely a prosthetic leg must be fastened securely to whatever’s left of the real leg? Otherwise how could you walk on it confidently and not slide off it and cause you to crash to the floor if you happen to hit a pebble on the floor. How was she able to just snatch the leg from under him without fumbling with straps or whatever?

  • Abroad

    No, she’s the real McCoy.

People take them off when they are at home. The chaff or rub, – or they are too hot too wear all the time. He may have crutches to use at home and leave the prosthetic near the door like you leave your boots there.

Air travel would be a bitch, though.

  • Sam

I can understand that, but “Hatfield came up behind him, removed his prosthetic leg”
Was he just too engrossed in his phone call to the police to notice the tugging on his leg?

“Mothers” always make the best parents according to the court system.

Should she really be charged with domestic violence battery? Afterall, it was his leg, not hers.

It said some other guys with her jumped him so it was probably while they were all fighting.

Some do not, they have a sleeve that goes on under and the suction will keep them on. Though the older school ones do have other ways.

I knew I truly was an asshole when I started hearing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnHmskwqCCQ as I read this story ><

  • JGo555

I will point the obvious: A lot of the DD’ers would stick it in THIS particular crazy.

  • Canuck Gramz

I used to say to my kids “If you knock on my door one more time, I will rip your arm off and beat you with the bloody stub”. I also used to say “I’m too tired to beat you. I’ll just hold out my arm and you can repeatedly run into it”. I didn’t mean it. Of course.

  • Sam

Ok’ NOW I’m intrigued to know how those Paralympic athletes manage to secure them so well to be able to run fast enough to break world records.

  • CT

Would that be more of a missile design?

  • sugarpie

ha ha – gotta throw the “I didn’t mean it, of course” disclaimer in there. You never know who’s gonna use it against you later…

  • NY_Mommy

This chick is hot. I’m having a hard time making it through the article because I just keep referring back to her picture. I’d be willing to take at least 1 ride on that crazy train.

  • Abroad

Thanks. Must read the details as well.
