Mother Charged With Murder After 7 Month Old Falls From WindowSAN DIEGO – At a bit after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, a woman walking down an alley near the Park View Apartments complex probably had the contents of her nightmares altered forever: she spotted something odd on the ground, and when she moved closer, she realized it was an infant.

It appeared that the little boy had fallen from one of the complex’s windows. She immediately called authorities, who discovered, upon arriving, that the child was severely injured. (Odd how falls from a significant height seem to affect infants that way.) Medics performed CPR and transported the boy to the hospital, but the little guy didn’t make it to 6:00 p.m.

Currently, there are more questions than answers on this case, but let me share what we do seem to know: (1) The infant’s injuries were caused by a fall from a 3rd-story window. (2) The police initially detained the boy’s 33-year-old mother for questioning but have since arrested her and are now investigating the death as a homicide; they indicate she will be charged with first-degree murder. (3) The mother, who goes by the brain-bending and seemingly unlikely name of Zewoinesh Badasso, is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

It seems obvious that the hours of evidence-gathering at the apartment, along with interviews with Badasso and others, revealed that this case encompasses more than an unfortunate series of events involving an open window and a 7-month-old with some degree of mobility. After all, that police would arrest Badasso and publicly state that she’ll be charged with first-degree murder seem unlikely without some evidence or statements to which we’ve not yet been made privy.

Furthermore, if you watch the video posted by KFMB-TV, you’ll see that the window out of which the baby is suspected to have fallen features a safety gate: Was that gate not in place at the time the 7-month-old fell? Or should we suspect, based on the arrest and expected charge, that Zewoinesh Badasso intentionally tossed her son out of the window?

One of the questions I will ask God when I finally meet him is why did you allow so much suffering upon innocents. I begin to think that in this country more people are killed “loved ones” than by strangers.

This is one of those cases that it is hard to say what happened until it’s all sorted out. However, that safety gate should have been on that damn window if it was an accident!

The longer you are on this site, the more you will start to believe that there is no God.

Lets just see how Bad-Ass’o this so called “mom” thinks she is in prison. I’m hoping that the moms there who can’t see their children rip her a new asshole!!! I’m done. That is all.

I really must believe there is a God, because asshats featured on here need to be punished eternally. I would believe eye for an eye is good to start with.

Yea I don’t think the charge would be first degree if the infant fell accidentally and I gotta wonder how long he was there

Regardless if the infant fell from or was thrown from that damn window that poor excuse for a mother should be held accountable!!! If the baby fell the mom should’ve kept a closer eye on him especially if he was crawling or could get into trouble eing near an open window!!!!! Didn’t she notice he wasn’t there? How long? Until the cops came a’knockin? Shit don’t smell right here.

Watch out, we got a Badasso over here.

  • nomorepolitix

Actually that was misspelled: It was Padasso. And her first name is often shortened to “Stew.” Put ‘em together and we got ourselves a Stew Padasso. (Ah thank you very much).

Accident or on purpose it sums up to one word NEGLECT..i know accidents happen but if there was a gate for the purpose of shielding the window she had to have known that the baby could at some point ve in danger of falling from it…im too paranoid to have my bed and or my baby’s crib close to the window

  • onlyme356

So how long was the baby lying on the pavement before Badasshole got involved? Was the “mother” just upstairs getting high after she chucked her baby out the window? What was she doing the entire time before the authorities got to her?

  • Justagirl

At 7 months old, babies are just barely learning to crawl & pull themselves up. No way could he have lifted himself up to that window & accidently fallen.

  • sugarpie

Excuse me while I go cry for this child…

  • daffodil127

Neglect is usually manslaughter, not murder 1.

  • neenaP

Unless the bed was against the window and he rolled. A lot pf parents don’t baby proof. although I doubt that’s what happened here.

  • Athena

Yep. Murder 1 suggests an element of premeditation.

Hey, I think most people here don’t realize that falling out of a third story window is a rite of passage in the Badasso family. Had the little guy survived, his next task as a three year old would have been to fight off a pack of ravenous alligators with a spoon.

  • JGo555

Too bad she’s a douche for not givingup her kid instead of killing it. Badasso is one bad ass name.
