Man Dressed As Bigfoot Killed After Being Struck By Two CarsKALISPELL, MT — If anyone would have ever old me that one day I would be using an image of Harry from HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS in an article on this site, I would have never believed it. Hoped for? Yes. Believed it? Nope.

But that day has come, thanks to a man in Montana who was killed after being struck by two cars while dressed as a sasquatch.

According to friends, 44-year-old Randy Lee Tenley wanted to start a Bigfoot hoax by dressing in  a military-style camouflage ghillie suit, and making appearances along Highway 93. So on Sunday night, Tenley donned his garb and stood in the right-hand lane of the highway, in hopes of scaring passing motorists.

Tenley’s plan may have worked out a lot better had he not decided to stand on the highway at night. In clothing designed to help you blend in with foliage. At the same two teenage girls were driving on it.

Tenley was first struck by a vehicle driven by a 15-year-old girl who says she was unable to avoid hitting him. After a second vehicle (probably driven by a man) swerved around him, a third vehicle driven by a 17-year-old girl ran Tenley over as he lay on the ground.

“He probably would not have been very easy to see at all,” said Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jim Schneider. “It appears [Tenley] was well into the driving lane.”

I know this may come as a shock to some of you, but reports are that alcohol may have played a role. Police dispatch say they never received any calls Sunday night regarding a Bigfoot sighting on the side of Highway 93, but did get some about a man, dressed as a bush, lying dead in the middle of it.

O how i would love to see the insurance claims by the two girls who hit him. Or better yet, the face of the insurance guy / gal when they read them.

  • CT

Can a 15 year old drive legally in Montana? Aren’t old women on the road bad enough but now we let 15 year old girls drive at night?

And Jane, you suck at reading the news. I could do better and my only recent experience reading out loud is Splat the Cat and Super Fly Guy books.

  • Vindictive

You can’t fix stupid. How does a 44 year old man not know any better? Alcohol or not.

  • JohnQknowitall

44 and dumb meets 15 and criminal – to what extent is the criminal activity of the 15 yo considered a factor?

  • SayAunt

Well got to hand it to Randy Lee he did leave a couple impressions.

  • kimbev69

omg!!! this is hilarious…a man dressed as a bush..omg did this brainiac get the idea from the other guy who was riding his bike and videotaped a man running across his path in a monkey suit?

  • NY_Mommy

He must have been drunk. Why dress up as Swamp Thing if you are trying to pull off the Big Foot look?

  • sugarpie

If the 2nd car was a guy and “he” really thought it was a sasquatch, “he” would have swerved to hit it so he could brag to his buddy’s.

  • derae

    Morbid Presents: “Messin’ with Sasquatch!”

  • Snickering x Hydra

Well, perhaps he’ll have better luck scaring folks as a ghost – albeit a very silly one.

“I dunno, honey…Is that the ghost of sasquatch or a ghost dressed as sasquatch?”

  • LuvsHorror

I don’t know, could they have hit him on purpose? Probably seen enough monster movies.

  • Mike

The 15 year old committed no crime. The dude in the bushmaster suit was drinking, not her.

  • JohnQknowitall

Where except during the day in farming areas and on private property is it legal for a 15 yo to operate a motor vehicle?

I find it hard to believe a 15 yo could be insured and who would loan her a car to drive?

  • ShelbySP

The government just wants you to think it was a man in a sasquatch suit…

    KALISPELL, MT

  • lespacino

And the Darwin Award goes to…

  • Athena

In Washington, you can get your permit at 15. You can be insured and it is completely legal for you to drive so long as you’ve got an adult with you (in our state, I believe said adult must be 21+, but it’s been awhile since I was 15).

  • newstarshipsmell

I guess the Yeti knows better, now.

  • curiousalways

that’s what I was going to say. To my knowledge in most states you get your permit at 15. It doesn’t say she was alone in the car…..

  • tinalib13

    lol :-D

Oh, tell me it isn’t so!!!!! We have not lost one of our own here? Where is Yeti? has anyone heard from him today?

  • pikeman

I live in this area and heard this on the news this morning. I thought about Yeti and thought maybe he’d made his way down to this neck of the woods to try to get back at me for giving him shit. Poor banned yeti.

  • pikeman

He was apparently banned by Morbid.

  • pikeman

I know that area. There’s a sign “Bigfoot Crossing next 14 miles”.

  • Cleanskin

I am so hoping it is the same guy.

  • pikeman

It sounds like you didn’t care much for Yeti, eh? How could that be? LOL

  • JohnQknowitall

There are no night restrictions and the adult is not responsible for 15 year old’s accidents? Well it will be interesting to see what truths pan out.

  • newstarshipsmell

If there is an afterlife, this guy is definitely joining the club of folks who literally never hear the end of how they managed to arrive there.

  • Gee

    Teased for eternity… That’s funny

  • Isaac Cros

    Damn. What a dumb ass.

  • AliceinChainsman =]

Well it wasn’t Pikeman at least..LOL

  • AliceinChainsman =]

I thought fer a moment it was you!!!..lol.. Just like if you seen article, man dressed in body armor takes on locals.. that would be me..

  • AliceinChainsman =]

Yes they can.. and its Scary…heheheheh

  • AliceinChainsman =]

I mean Yetis and Clowns..the Amusement factor

  • pikeman

No, it wasn’t. I left my Yeti costume at the dry cleaners.

  • captaingrumpy

Yetis are supposed to be seen climbing rocks , running along grassy paths and hiding behind real bushes. NOT on the highway.

thank you darwin. fuck this guy…he deserves to have died a stupid death. If you could barely see the guy and suddenly had to swerve out of the way because he was in the middle of the road to avoid hitting him he could have easily sent someone off the road or worse, into the oncoming lane and caused a head on collision-at night-on a dark road-potentially killing someone innocent-all to fuck with people while dressed as a bush? Oh, alcohol was involved? you don’t say!

  • LeaveMeBe

You better not mess with me…

  • LeaveMeBe

My first thought was of him, too. Alas, it must have been one of his relatives because he is still pretending to be me elsewhere.

  • LeaveMeBe

Super Fly Guy books? Are those the prequels to Fifty Shades of Grey?

  • LeaveMeBe

Along with everyone stating that the 15 yo could have had her permit and been driving with someone else in the car, in the state of Texas you canget your actual license at 15 if you meet certain requirements, but you have certain rules to follow to like the times of day you are allowed to drive. It’s called a hardship license.

  • newstarshipsmell

Looks like he’s lost interest and reverted to impersonating Heldman again. Please don’t kill yourself in despair.

  • LeaveMeBe

*sob* Only if you promise to be my forever friend, Smelly.
