CHL Owner Accidentally Fires Gun In Walmart, Injures Himself And Three OthersDALLAS, TX –  A man in Texas is facing a handful of charges after a woman and two young children were injured when he accidentally fired his handgun inside a Walmart.

According to police, 23-year-old Todd Canady was having issues pulling out his wallet in the checkout line inside a Walmart and accidentally discharged his Springfield .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol he had hidden there.

The bullet grazed Canady’s buttocks and struck the cement floor. The resulting debris struck a woman and two children who were standing nearby but luckily for everyone, they were not seriously injured.

Canady ran from the store when an off-duty police officer tried to question him about his idiocy. He was arrested after a short chase and found to have a valid concealed handgun license, but was still charged with injury to a child, a felony, and misdemeanor charges of assault and evading arrest.

Kudos to Canady for obtaining a concealed handgun license so he could legally carry, but that means he took the required gun safety class and was fully aware of just how stupid it is to carry a loaded handgun in this fashion. For the braindead, a handgun (concealed or not) should always be in a holster of some kind so you don’t accidentally shoot yourself in the ass, or an innocent bystander, while buying milk at Walmart.

Canady is very lucky he didn’t kill someone and a good example of why I say that to get a concealed handgun license, you have to pass some kind of IQ test along with the required handgun safety class.

I have a CHL and I am glad I did. Not just to protect myself from crime, but also to protect myself from other CHL owners. It scares the crap out of me knowing that some of the open-mouth breathers that were in my gun safety class are now walking around with a loaded firearm jingling around in their pockets.

      I’d carry a gun as well in that area of Dallas lol. Sorry the Forest Lane area at night is beyond ghetto and just a little dangerous. I hated being over that way when I would catch the bus or train during the day so fuck being over that at night.
      Also its gun safety 101 never put your money and gun in the same pocket unless you wanna lose your dick, or in this case a piece of your butt cheek.

      Hmmm… When we took our classes for carry permits, our instructor actually kicked out a couple of people that shouldn’t have been allowed to do concealed carrying of weaponry. (We each passed on the first round.) Maybe, your instructor shouldn’t have been conducting classes, Morbid.

      Too bad this butt-weasel didn’t have the pistol down the front of his pants. Shooting off his privates could have eliminated another generation of mouth-breathers. It would been a pure case of killing two birds with one stone.

      Carrying a gun in a holster not only makes it safer, it also is a means of identifying you as a responsible gun owner who has a CHL. Why did this ass-wipe run? It only made the whole situation worse and made him look like more of a criminal. He’s lucky another stupid CHL owner didn’t draw and shoot his ass, too.

      For what reason would they have kicked them out for? Because they looked stupid and acted like morons on breaks? They sat and watched the videos like the rest of us, and performed well enough on the range.
