The texts don’t bother me, that’s how most of the kids text and message.
He can’t say the dead brother comment set him off when he was threatening to kill her as soon as she called him a rapist. And after he threatens to kill her he still has the nerve to ask her to text Kayla. Crazy.

The text seems to imply that the dead brother provocation was retaliation over a perceived jab about her dead father- which would seem like a fair trade of dead relative barbs. Only Mr. Crazy didn’t seem to see it that way since he didn’t realize he was making a dead relative jab – although she made it clear that’s the only reason she threw a mention of his brother in there. Aside from that, I think she was trying to humiliate him into reconsidering pursuing a 13yr old child romantically, not create a physical confrontation.

I remember the news coverage on this case, it was pretty sad when they actually showed the girl who got beat down. She was in the hospital and looked pretty messed up. Like a handicapped kid, she defintely was not the same and will probbaly never be.

I’m not saying it in any way justifies what he did, but if this kid is suffering from PTSD, what that girl said is far more than throwing salt in wounds. It’s not just words, it’s a trigger that can ignite a rage can really only be described as insane. The scary fact is that at it’s worst, PTSD is capable of taking a decent person “out of their mind” to a point where reason has gone out the window, and all thought and emotion are irrationally and emotionally driven. I didn’t see salt in a wound, I saw the barely controlled rage of a seriously troubled teen hit the breaking point. To me this looks like the result of a disastrous combination of teens being cruel and unmanaged mental illness.

Actually that kind of helps the insanity angle. No rational or sane person would take that much time and preparation or put on a dead persons clothing if there wasn’t a snap with reality. Or at least that’s what they are going to claim.

Personally people I don’t like (for me OR my friends) I try to not talk to them as much as possible. Her ass should’ve stopped answering questions and texting back to him. She also should’ve told someone this person was harrassing her.
HOWEVER she did not bring this upon herself nor she deserved it. 2 bitch slaps? A Punch? maybe she deserved those 3 for talking about a dead brother but not what she got.

I’m a bit confused as to why you think it’s appropriate to almost kill someone over a comment. It may have been a fucked up comment, but I’m pretty sure the dude overreacted. it just got applied to them first as a group, but the term is universal for any kind of trauma. try watching someone you love go through a panic attack episode brought on by PTSD-it feels like dying. To be clear: I can understand his anger. But for it to get physical, in any sense, is not justified. You have a fantastic point, but never in my life have I ever brought up someone’s dead love ones, or abuse, or anything of that nature to insult someone. I mean it’s common sense that you shouldn’t say things like that to people because of the possibility they will snap and come kill you. Not saying what he did was right by any means, but she should have quit talking to him instead of egging him on and telling him that she wasn’t scared and to come get her. I don’t have sympathy for her. Can’t find any. She egged the kid on, I think she should have had her ass beat, but no brain damaged. Hopefully the kid gets the help he needs and hopefully someday that girl recovers.
