Yeah i don’t know why – we read about so many dead parents on here but for some reason this story and her being a 3 yo’s mum makes me really sad.

I joke a lot about this kind of shit, but for someone to kill another person without it being self defense amazes me. How can people remove themselves that much from compassion to end another person’s life knowing the fear and damage that happens and is left behind?

Meh, that isn’t necessarily so. A lot of time it is just because it is easier to dispose of pieces than a whole body.

You personally know the vast majority of these girls? I personally know tons of women NOT in that profession that have abuse histories and have used drugs. Really shocking stories, not one is a dancer.

 My friend was murdered and chopped up by her ex and his new wife while dropping off her kids after visitation, thats not late at night or at the wrong place. Women are victims no matter who or what they are.

I feel sorry for her daughter.  Her mother was murdered gruesomely, and the police don’t have a suspect yet.  I hope they catch the fuckhead who did this ASAP and put him or her away for life.

I was not going to comment but I must speak up.I was a dancer from the time I was 18 till a few years ago,I was over it and mentally could not even pretend anymore.Yes, being a dancer is a thankless and looked down on form of work. I want to clarify a few things.

Majority of us did not have a drug problem and that includes alcohol,we were mothers,wives,students and pretty much knew that in a short period of time we could make very very good money for our families or whatever else we needed but, yes a few out of the hundreds of girls I worked with had a addiction problem and those girls never lasted long and had awful family lives with little to no support system.I personally have a very high sense of self esteem and regardless what anyone say’s you have too in that line of work.Most of us are health nuts…Gym,eating healthy,using the best of the best products,taking care of yourself mentally, physically and emotionally was and still is my number one priority with that being said Yes…The job attracts complete wack jobs there is always a “Captain Save-a-Ho” a “opportunist, and the “Pimp/Drug Pusher wannabes” dosing the girlfriend up to go out and make money but that is rare. Safety was HUGE in my book…NEVER treat a customer as a friend,never share your real name,where you live go to school,ect never allow a customer to cross the invisible line of trust…I have told girls that starting out more times than I would like you would think it is commonsense. 

I have a hunch of what happened to her,it always makes me sad too see shit like this.Regardless she deserves the respect of justice and her daughter needs love and support.

its sad. our local newspapers (Baton Rouge, La)  arent reporting her name, the headlines all read: Body Found Not That of Missing Lafayette Student.”  So because this girl was a stripper and not a student she is getting pushed to the back burner.  I am heartbroken for the Mickie Shunick’s family as well, but this girl was HACKED UP!! Her child is without a mommy now!!  

 I have known lots of people on drugs, booze, had their kids taken away, that were in other professions such as nurse, mortgage broker, big time attorney, etc.

Hancock County Chief Deputy Don Bass said Lockhart’s clothing washed up on the beach over the weekend. The clothes were identified by Lockhart’s boyfriend, Bass said.
The boyfriend has been interviewed and is cooperating with investigators, Bass told WDSU.Investigators said they have been getting a bevy of calls with information on the case, but no suspect has been pinpointed yet.

Suspect may have lured dancer to private party
HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -
Investigators are beginning to put together more details about the last hours of Jaren Lockhart’s life and how she may have ended up with the two people now suspected of killing her.
Though neither have been charged, investigators now believe the two suspects, Terry Speaks and Margaret Sanchez, tried to lure other Bourbon Street dancers to their home the same night Jaren Lockhart left club Temptations with the couple.
Hancock County Lead Investigator Glenn Grannan said, “Both girls were asked to come join them in maybe like a threesome and then they changed it to a party where they would make $700, $800 something to entice them to go.”
Grannan talked to two women who say Sanchez and Speaks tried to lure them home.
“Both girls thought our female suspect was somewhat freaky as they described it and didn’t feel comfortable, and they declined it and eventually they found someone to go,” Grannan said.
That someone Grannan said was 22-year-old Jaren Lockhart.
“We have witnesses stating they heard Jaren ask to leave work early so she could go make some extra money on a party, so we believe she was enticed to go with the hope she would make some extra money,” Grannan said.
Survelliance video shows Lockhart leaving Temptations early Wednesday morning with both Speaks and Sanchez.
Since apprehending the two, investigators have spent hours interviewing the couple about what happened that night
“She was very adjatated, very excitable, she was of course upset. It appeared maybe even under the influence of something,” Grannan said. “He would speak about anything he wanted to speak about, unless you wanted to speak about this he referred to his attorney.”
“We didn’t obtain any confessions but received a lot of information,” Grannan said.
While they are considered suspects, investigators have not ruled others out.
“They are our primary suspects because their actions in this time period, there are so many elements that can’t be explained by us or them,” Grannan said.
This is not Terry Speaks first run in with the law, he served two years in prison for statutory rape in North Carolina and since then he has been charged three times for failing to register as a sex offender.
