Woman Sentenced To Life In Prison For Strangling Her Daughter With Bra

Casselberry, FL – We last reported on Nioshka Bello after she was accused of strangling her 2-year-old daughter with her bra. On Wednesday, she was sentenced to life in prison.

Back in 2009, 24-year-old Bello and her daughter, Janessa Sandoval (cute kid), were living in a home with her mother and stepfather. They were moving out the next day and Bello was not going with them. She attempted to get back with her daughter’s father but an argument ensued when he refused to take her back.

Jobless and possibly homeless, Bello decided she could fix the situation by killing herself and her daughter. After taking Benadryl and Tylenol, Bello took off her bra and used it to strangle her daughter who was sleeping on the bed they shared.

A few days after being taken into custody on a charge of first-degree murder, Bello was found incompetent to stand trial and admitted into a state mental hospital where she once again tried killing herself, and once again failed. This was not out of the ordinary, really, as Bello has a history of failed suicide attempts dating back to when she was 15-years-old.

Last November, a judge reviewed her medical records and ruled that she was well enough to proceed with a trial for her murder charge. This trial lasted only three days and took the jury a mere two hours to hand down a guilty verdict. The most damning piece of evidence against her, aside from the dead child, was the confession she made to police a few hours after her arrest.

Since prosecutors were not seeking the death penalty, the judge immediately sentenced her to life in prison. Now maybe someone can show Bello how to tie a knot so she can finally achieve the goal she’s been trying to reach for the last decade.

Wow. This whole thing is just seriously sad. I’m a little confused though. Were the parents taking the little girl with them or were they leaving her to the same fate as her mother? I can see cutting your grown child off after repeated attempts to help them get their shit together, but your 2-year-old granddaughter? That’s some cold fucking shit right there.

This girl had/has issues as a teen and needed to be put into a mental hospital.These types never seem to succeed in killing themselves, just everyone else they get a hold of.Was the parents moving to get away from her,She must really be a handful.

I’m sorry, but if she had truly wanted to kill herself since she was 15, she would have found a way. She could jump in front of a semi. Drink some antifreeze. Hell, you can find instructions on how to kill yourself with oven bags and helium online. She never intended to kill herself, she just wanted the attention from the attempts. People who actually want to kill themselves succeed. I would say she is/was mentally ill (or at least at times unstable) for going about getting attention that way and should not have EVER been left alone with her daughter.

I say we all pitch in and send her a care package. We can include things like: razor blades, drain cleaner, antifreeze, rope (also include step by step instruction on making a noose), you know, simple little things we have around the house. Maybe we will get lucky and she’ll accidentally kill herself while trying to get attention for pretending to try to kill herself.

Tried to kill myself at 19 w/ Tylenol PM. My aunt used to be one of those old ladies gives out samples in stores. She’d keep the leftovers and give them to us. One day she gave us sample packs of Tylenol PM. I remember ripping pack after pack open and taking the pills one after the other. Then I didn’t want to arouse suspicion by emptying the whole bag so I stopped, then hid the wrappers on the bottom of the trashcan, but I just slept a lot. My dad basically called me a lazy fuck-up and no one knew what I tried to do. They still don’t 16 years later. Just saying attention may not always be the goal.

It says she was planning on trying to get back with the kid’s father, so it sounds like the parents were letting her leave, not kicking her out. Once the guy told her he didn’t want her back, she pulled her bitch move by throwing a tantrum and killing the kid most likely to try to hurt him. I’m sure that had she killed herself, he wouldn’t have given a shit. She knew this as well.

Could be, but the way it was written makes me think mom and dad were sick of her and moving without her, which is why she tried to get back with the girl’s father. It says she was facing homelessness after he said no. It doesn’t say if anyone was going to take the daughter in.
I think this girls been sick for awhile, her prior suicide attempts are just continued cries for help. It’s a shame no one helped her when she was 15, perhaps all of this could have been avoided.
I really don’t think this was a case of revenge. My speculation is that there are serious issues and her parents just refused to deal with it when they had the chance because many parents try to ignore those issues. Mom put her new husband before her family, which we’ve seen many times before, and they planned to move. At the very least the father could have at least taken the little girl in until mom was in a more stable place. This whole things sounds more of an act of desperation from the broken thinking of a very sick individual than revenge to me.

All you have to do is buy the large sized generic Walmart brand bottle. That will do it. I sadly know this from experience. I had a very abusive ex-husband and I felt the only way out from my marriage was to commit suicide. So I got a new bottle and dumped in in my mouth. My ex-husband later saw that I was unconscious and called 911. After pumping my stomach and dumping charcoal in me, the ER Dr. said that I barely survived. I was in the ICU for several days. So yes it can be done.

I didn’t know Benadryl ever came like that. I buy the Sam’s Club brand of Zyrtec. 350 pills for 17 bucks. Wooo!
But if I ever commit suicide, I’ll wait til I refill all my meds. I get two antidepressants and a sleeping pill all at the same time, in 3 month increments. That should do the trick. lol

Most fathers may be not the best choice to raise a toddler let’s keep it real. The grandparents Bello’s grandmother & step grandfather were probably the best candidates. Some fathers may be able to raise a two year old for some it would too difficult to work then find a suitable day care when the baby is still a toddler. It’s not impossible it’s sometimes best for the child’s grandmother to step in as the “mother” most likely lit’l Bello looked on to her as her mother. Some men don’t realize until it’s too late that their ex the mother of their child is psycho. 20/20 hindsight if you ask him now he’ll tell you he regrets not stepping in yet most courts are reluctant to give primary custody to a father. It’s tragic Bello’s mother didn’t just end her life instead of her innocent two year’s old that’s the tragedy. The argument simply caused this young mother to snap it doesn’t justify her taking Bello’s life if it did then in all divorces (even if she wasn’t married) the mother kills the kids if there is a divorce.

At least she got stoned one last time before lockup, judging from her eyes. My husband worked with a man who’s sister had tried & failed to kill herself multiple times. Her most recent attempt included her attaching a hose to the exhaust of a running car, putting it through the window, sitting inside and waiting. After 2 hours she turned the car off and gave up. Turns out she rolled the windows up too tight, to where it pinched the hoses and no fumes got through. Derp.
