Craigslist doesn’t really have moderators, users can flag stuff they feel is innapropriate but I think it takes a number of flags on the post before it’s taken down.  It’s a free site for people who wanna buy or sell their crap, or offer services with the exception of job posters who have to pay a nominal fee. They did remove their “erotic” category (I think that’s what it was called), a few years ago, due to multiple crimes occuring within that category. But I think the site has been around since the 90′s and hasn’t really changed. The creator of the site is pretty rich now and is harassed mainly by eBay who bitches and whines because they want a piece of the pie. Apparently there’s a guy who works for eBay who claims he’s legally part owner of Craigslist so Ebay has gone and tried to take over Craigslist with little success. They also launched a copy cat website called Kijiji to try and mimic Craiglist with the hopes of luring Craiglist users, but that never worked. People like it for its simplicty, familiarity, and ease of use. And of course it’s a lovely breeding ground for sickos as well.

I’m thinking about what I was like when I was 15. Yea, I was pretty dumb, but not entirely naive and stupid. Main difference was, I had no computer or internet, no one really did back then.
