Woman Stabs Infant In Neck During Supervised VisitBaltimore – A Baltimore woman was able to smuggle a kitchen knife into a Department of Social Services and then used it to stab her 8 month old child in the face, chest and neck.

Kenisha Thomas, 29, was at the Baltimore Social Services office having a supervised visit with her infant daughter that she no longer has custody of.

Visitors are supposed to pass through a metal detector and are subjected to bag screenings, but as the end of their visit ticked away she pulled out a long, wood handled kitchen knife and started stabbing her baby in the neck and face.

Hearing screams of help, co-workers rushed into the conference room to see the mother holding the infant on the table and pressing the blade of the knife to her throat. Kenisha was met with a chair to the face and pinned to the ground until help could arrive.

Kenisha being the lady she is, exclaimed, “I hope my baby is dead!” and then proceeded to bite the man who was holding her down. Other witnesses say  they heard Thomas say she wanted to “Kill the baby. I hope my baby is dead. Lock me up.  If I can’t have her, no one will.”

The baby, who fell to the floor with the knife still sticking out of her neck, was rushed to John Hopkins for emergency surgery and is now in the ICU listed as stable.

Kenisha Thomas, is being held without bail on charges of attempted first-degree murder, assault and child abuse.

Mother of the year right there.

  • Cory

This bitch needs to die and soon. Hopefully they get her on the inside so we don’t have to dish out more tax dollars.

  • XenMojo

The poor worker that witnessed that mess. Unreal.

  • Lena60

How fucking sad.if she needed supervised visits, she did not need to be around the child at all.they took this child away from her for neglect, or some other reason. I hate stories like this.how well are they supervising if she had time to stab the baby umpteen times.

  • EveryVillainIsLemons

Crazy bitch.  I hope she gets locked up for life.

  • sugarpie

Oh my goodness, that poor child.  If she pulls through, she will have to live knowing her mother did this.  I hope they find a loving home far away from Baltimore.

What in the hell is the matter with people??  How could anyone stab their own child?  I hope they give her the chair.

  • Shelby Burns

If anyone ever needed a chair to the face, it’s her.

    Yes, over and over again.

I’d like to know how she got through the metal detector..She is obviously mentally ill and needs to be in a psych ward

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

I would have curb stomped that bitch like a narc at biker rally if she had bitten me. I hope they put her down and autopsy her brain to make sure she doesn’t have rabies.
I hope her little girl goes to a loving family and never ever hears about this crazy psycho.

Baltimore is bringing it this week.

OMG, if you can’t have her no one will?  I hope lots of people “have” you while you while rot your cesspool of a twat in prison.

She’s going to be in priosn with a bunch of women who wished they could see their children some time soon. She’s going to get her ass whooped.

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

Yea, I’m gonna have to get out there this weekend and shoot someone and rape a corpse for Florida.

This may be a blessing for that baby.  I do not think a social worker, law guardian or judge could justify reunification between this mother and child.  Her rights will be terminated and this baby may be able to find a family that can love and provide her with a good home.

Currently, the goal is to reunify families even when it is not in the best interest of the child.

  • JohnQknowitall

How did the knife get through security. I have to take my belt off most of the time when entering a government building.

I really detest the ” if I can’t *****, then no can” bullshit.

Just why the fuck was the child taken from her custody in the first place? That answer could very well tell us why this ass should never have seen her child again. Fucking animal.

AH shit, my husband is out of town for business this weekend so I’m gonna be hard pressed to do my thing for Virginia. Though I’m right over the DC border so can I claim whatever they do this weekend – statistically it’s high that it will happen?

” Kenisha was met with a chair to the face “  I wish they video taped that shit, I would love to see that played over and over again.

According to the article – they did give her the chair …

Supervised visits – they are doing it wrong.

  • Texas Ranger

Good one. Wish they were still giving her the chair over and over and over until she was dead, dead, dead.

    Where ya been stranger?

  • Gilbert Grape

Someones going to take a shank to her ass. Hopefully to her neck.

  • Texas Ranger

I’ll give Texas a break, I’m sure we will make up for it down the line though, can’t have crazy ass Florida ALWAYS in the news with jacked-up shit. Selfish floridianbastards.

“Currently, the goal is to reunify families even when it is not in the best interest of the child.”

Exactly, and that’s why I’m guessing this child will become another unfortunate case of social services gone wrong. Not knowing any details other than what’s posted here, the system’s already failed horribly. Poor baby.

  • zombiephile

Jesus fucking Christ. How the fuck can someone do that?! I look at my almost three month old and I just want to snuggle her, keep her safe from everything…I hope this waste of skin gets shanked.

  • scud420

yeah no kidding. that’s what I was thinking. so the supervision is in another room, and a baby gets stabbed in the face… someone doesn’t understand the definition of supervision.

  • scud420

probably got 10 other parents who all want their own private rooms that they got to supervise all at the same time thanks to budget cuts though

  • curiousalways

wonder how long long it will take her to sue the person who used the chair to knock her down…..

  • Gee

Fucking Evil Bitch! That’s all I have on this one

  • Wolf_of_Mars

The worst part is that she’ll probably get a minimal sentence, if any, because her lawyer will be able to make a strong case for “Postpartum Depression.”  Just because you’re off your rocker, it shouldn’t always be a reason to not be punished for your actions.

  • sherrdbw

What a fucking bitch. The odds are great that the baby will end up in multiple foster homes. I hope not.

  • http://www.facebook.com/clayton.knudsen1 Clayton Knudsen

No, our judges and the CPS system will say (after the mom has been in a hospital for a few months) “it is ok, she will have supervised visits with HER child”

  • http://www.facebook.com/clayton.knudsen1 Clayton Knudsen

OH, and WTF is in the water in Baltimore?

  • JGo555

I hope they did a drug test & that she’s not high one bit. That would be mitigating circumstances.

Wait until the prison gals hear what YOU DID TO YOUR BABY.

    No need to say more.

  • JGo555

No. I do not wish for her to be mentally ill one ounce. I want her healthy, happy & in full consciousness of what the fuck she did so she can get the needle.

  • OutOfBubbleGum

Kenisha is just misunderstood in her intentions.  Being a parent, I fully understand what she’s going through and trying to accomplish.  Babies from 0 (zero) to 8 months stay where you leave them.  It’s that 8+ months that starts the problem.  You turn your head away for just one second and bam, they’re gone.  Gone in 60 seconds in fact.  So, I’m sure, she, being raised to care for dogs, was simply using the knife like a stake tying a dog’s chain to the ground through her baby daughter’s diapher, so she wouldn’t be running around pestering all of the counselors.  Is it her fault that her baby’s head and torso kept getting in the way.  I say she’s just a thoughtful mother always thinking of others.

    {Forgive my spelling.  No word processor on this laptop.  Me, bad.}

  • LeaveMeBe

I am very disappointed in the Social Service Workers. I expected to see more evidence of where she fought wildly and had to be restrained with extreme force. >:I

  • http://www.facebook.com/clayton.knudsen1 Clayton Knudsen

She needs a chair but this one:

  • Athena

I assumed the screams of help were from the supervision in the room.  An eight-month-old baby can’t scream “Help,” and I doubt this remorseless sub-human was screaming for help, so that would leave a present third-party.

  • Athena

Less than 1% of insanity pleas (which a Postpartum Psychosis defense is) are successful, if I recall correctly.  The fact that she said what she did about no one having the child if not her does not bode well for an insanity defense, either.  Nor do statements like “I hope my baby’s dead.”

Someone truly insane and treatable should not be punished like someone sane and completely aware of what it is they’re doing, in my opinion.  It is also my opinion that this woman will not escape justice on those grounds.

  • Califboy

Like a choke hold, or the knife that she used on the innocent baby.

  • Califboy

I think this one is “Cuntturd of the week”.

  • Babydoll0630

OMFG!!!  I’m SO glad that baby is stable……this just made me really feel ill.

  • Tenbux

You don’t get the death penalty for attempted murder.  The victim has to die in a state that has legal capital punishment.  While there are a few federal/state statutes that permit execution for crimes other than murder, to the best of my knowledge there is no one currently on death row for a non-murder crime .

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_4A3X22MM7BACABR2CSA6LBPM5Q Leslie

I do not know how it is in B-more, but having been in the New York foster care system as a social worker I think there is a possibility that the child will not be returned to this mother.  The child is young enough and is a good candidate for adoption.  One of the reasons that most judges are reluctant to terminating the rights of a parent is that they do not want to make a child a legal orphan that the state will have to raise until the child is 18 or 21.  The child is also young enough that she may not have a desire to see the mother.  There is probably a protective order now stating that the mother cannot see the child since the other visits needed to be supervised.

  • Catelyn

Holy shit! If she stabbed her baby during a supervised visit, what the hell did she do to her when she had custody?

  • Tenbux

Actually the stabbings and injuries are the baby’s fault.  You see, her baby can manipulate magnetic fields.  It’s a tiny, diaper-clad Magneto with self-harming tendencies.
    Duh.

  • scud420

     good call

  • Heather_Habilatory

Crazy is apparently in the water.

  • Babydoll0630

Obviously she’s crazy but I’d like to know why her baby was taken away in the first place….the happenings?   And where is the father?

  • http://oddlyunfocused.blogspot.com/ Eccentric_Lady

You know, in instances like this, I don’t really want to know…

I know it sounds selfish of me, but what she did at the supervised visit is bad enough!

  • Shauna Olsen

Sweet Lord. That poor, poor baby. Sooooo glad that who ever it was that grabbed the chair and gave the crazy a well deserved smack with it gets a medal. I hope she never gets “supervised visits”, or comes near that baby. Wth is wrong with people?

  • Shauna Olsen

If by some chance she is allowed a year or two later to visit her child or gets that chance that she is more heavily guarded. I got it that social services are all about reuniting family, but come on. She even said she wanted her dead and  thank God she was not successful. She is not crazy, just selfish, and not caring that she hurt her own child horrifically. Makes my head spin at the thought.

  • Shauna Olsen

I loved it that someone used a chair to the face to bring the bitch down. That was well deserved…a few more hits would have been justified I feel. But that is just me.

  • http://www.hillbillyhotdogs.com/ unimpeachablegoodguy

I’ve got all my Worldstar HipHop Silverback Bubba SOLIDS waiting to greet her at the womens penitentiary!

  • captaingrumpy

This visit was not being supervised at all. She was in a room , alone with her child. If the baby had not screamed, she would be dead. DEAD.
The “supervisor” should be charged with complicity to murder.
Thank God the baby is all right, but don’t forget that it should not have happened.

  • http://truecrimereport.com iLLusionS

Oh Myyyyy. Firstly I was not expecting that an 8 month old baby actually survived all that. A little surprised, but thankful for it none the less. I have to wonder what the dumb bitch had done to have the child removed in the first place. It’s sort of like a Josh Powell thing. When is the childs safety more important then the parents rights!?

  • Wolf_of_Mars

Oh, I don’t disagree with you at any level.
I just wonder about the possibility of “quietly guilty” women in the jury pool.  Many women have dealt with it at varying degrees.  And, it’s possible that a potential juror may keep quiet when questioned during the selection process.  The result may be the poisoning of a jury by someone that may identify, and sympathize, with the accused.
Believe me, I want nothing more than to see this woman to rot in prison, and never be allowed to see the poor child again.  Like I said before: “Just because you’re off your rocker, it shouldn’t always be a reason to not be punished for your actions.”  Some states at least have the “Insane but Guilty” laws on their books.  Do the crime, do the time.

  • lookn4mayberry

Government held positions are never held accountable.

  • kimbev69

So true if u are this fish u dont need a child

  • JGo555

Too bad because the “if I can’t have you, no one can” individuals usually commit murder & stay that way forever (it takes a lot of introspection & admitting wrongs on their part to make them want to figure out why their relationships never work & people try to run away from them) unless they have some sort of epiphany & they admit that they are wrong to themselves.

Either way I still want her clean, sober & with all her faculties intact so that she can get the stiffest penalty she can get. Hopefully she’ll get buried in burocratic (sp??) bullshit paper & they never release her so that she can’t reproduce.

  • Zazen

I read this story a few days ago on ABC News. I think their article is a little more complete, including the unfortunate child’s name (the first disservice this rancid hosebeast did to the poor kid) and detailing that there was a social worker present.

    [quote]
While visiting with her daughter, a social worker says Thomas was
complaining about her daughter’s care, saying she could do a better job.
At the end of the visit, the social worker says Thomas put the baby on the table and said, “It’s about to be over.”
The worker says Thomas reached into her purse, pulled out a kitchen knife and stabbed Pretty Diamond.
The social worker screamed.  Others came running into the room.

  • Mamma

Supervision was in the same room but when she started stabbing the baby the SS employee screamed for help and more people came to her aid. A male SS employee threw 2 chairs at the mom and the first she deflected like a ninja, the second chair hit it’s mark.

The problem lies with the security failing to find the knife when she entered the building.

  • kimbev69

    SelfisH not fish

  • neenaP

A serious what the fuck! She needs to be sterilized

  • sherrdbw

Probably out of the picture and not paying child support. Sadly this poor baby won the shitty parents jackpot.

  • onlyme356

Crazy bitch!! wow, wth is wrong with her? And you have to wonder why the baby was taken away from her to begin with. “Supervised” visits should never have occurred, she’s obviously completely out of touch with reality.

  • Sam

Pretty Diamond?? WTF?? What idiot allowed her to register THAT name?? Can you imagine growing up with that fucked up name?? I already hoped the poor baby would get adopted out. Now i also hope they will save her from a sure future of being a porn star or Maury show regular by changing her fucking name.

Yes, but it was the wrong one.  I wanted the one that’s more, well, permanent.

How do you have a knife and time to use it and still manage to only wound an 8 month old who can only lay there and drool? With skills like that she is going to be in a world of shit when the shanks come out in prison.

This is just one of many problems with CPS or DCF. Too much focus is placed on keeping the child connected to the family (no matter how bat crap crazy) and not enough focus is placed on actually protecting the child. This function should be performed by law enforcement not a civilian organization. Social workers should push papers and hold hands. Police should protect.
