Pastor Charged After Boy Beaten And Forced To Dig His Own GraveCorona, CA - The pastor and two other men affiliated with a Heart of Worship Church in Corona, California have been charged of with kidnapping and torturing a boy as a form of discipline for bad behavior.

Pastor Lonnie Remmers, 54, Nick Craig, 22, and Darryll Jeter, 28 are all facing charges including kidnapping, criminal threats and assault.

According to police, the teen’s mother took him to a men’s group home group home operated by the church for intervention because she believed he had been involved in ‘sexual misconduct.’ Corona police said it was unclear if she knew how the men were planning to discipline her son.

Investigators say Remmers instructed Craig and Jeters, who lived at the home, to ‘scare the boy.’ Police said Craig and Jeter drove the teen about 100 miles to the Barstow desert, forced him to dig a grave, threw dirt on him, and beat him with a belt. The boy was then reportedly driven back to Remmers’ house where the pastor used a pair of pliers to inflict pain on the boy, police said.

According to police, the boy did not have to be hospitalized.

Craig and Jeter were booked on suspicion of kidnapping, torture, child abuse and conspiracy. Craig and Jeter’s bail was set at $150,000 each. Remmers was booked on suspicion of torture, child abuse and conspiracy with bail is set at $35,000. All three men have pleaded not guilty.

Corona police Capt. Jerry Rodriguez also noted during a recent interview that Remmers applied in 2011 to serve as one of several Corona Police Department chaplains but failed to pass the department’s criminal and personal background check.

The boy’s unnamed 30-year-old mother has not been arrested, but the boy and his 7-year-old sister were taken into protective custody while the investigation continues, police said.

Interestingly, the mission statement on the Heart of Worship website says that “if Christ would not think it, say it, or do it, neither will we.” That reminds me of a parable when Jesus tortured a teen with pliers…

Good god. Pair of pliers and… perhaps a blowtorch? These guys sound like Pulp Fiction fans. Unless this boy RAPED another person, I think this was overkill. But I’ll reserve judgment until we drag out the boy’s personal history, including all days of school missed and how often he back-talked his mother.

  • rensuchan

Men’s group home… that sounds like too much testosterone even for me.

  • curiousalways

they were wooden pliers in the parable.  that made it cool.  I always tear up over that one.

Well one too many Beers sometimes has that effect on people – oh wait …

That was my thought. There’s no possible way this could have been for under-aged sexual contact with someone his own age and the opposing gender. Waitaminute. I’m saying this on the same site where there was a story about two women who killed a girl for lying about eating a candybar. Shit.

  • sugarpie

    So did it scare him?

  • OutOfBubbleGum

Just when I thought ‘Us,’ Americans, didn’t do any manual labor any more, I read a story as such.  It brought a tear to my eye.  ‘

Jesus made them himself. I know, I’m a minster.

Yes, I am a registered minister, it’s as easy as anything. I can legally preform weddings and everything. Think about that next time you feel like trusting some clergy. ;)

  • curiousalways

yikes!!!  they let anyone wear the cloth don’t they???   :)

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

If you are willing to pay the fees, than yes, they let anyone do it. ;)

Remember! This kid was a fledgling CHOMO in the making! His dear mother, God bless her heart, saved him from sure wickedness. Please remember…
IF THE WICKED MAN BE WORTHY TO BE BEATEN, THAT THE JUDGE SHALL CAUSE HIM TO LIE DOWN, AND TO BE BEATEN BEFORE HIS FACE!

  • Lena60

Glad to see the tornado in Dallas did not get you Ced.We and some of the girls were worried about you.

  • Lena60

Since the mother is only 30, that boy must be barely a teen. Why the hell would you let some male/clergy do with him what ever they wanted.

  • nomorepolitix

Yes, it did. Hell, the drive to Barstow would be enough. (Chills going down my little Central California spine).

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

Not me though, I got a rep, you understand.

  • nomorepolitix

Well if he wasn’t a chomo yet he will certainly have a good chance to be a deviant now.

  • JGo555

I think I can “fill my mouth with shit” as we say in Spanish & say that “our Catholic priests haven’t done this one yet”.

  • JGo555

If I was a ho, I’d love to be invited to that house party. Without casing, even better!

  • JGo555

I know, Joey married Monica & Chandler.

  • JGo555

You’RE ALIVE! Your comp is alive! YAY CED’s back!

  • Wildheart

I grew up Catholic (shudder) so I’d trust you over a lot of clergy I’ve known.

  • Heather_Habilatory

Who thinks of shit like this!?

  • Lena60

lmao, your such a bad girl.

Mother sends son to meet with a “pastor” and some guys from a “men’s group home” because of “sexual misconduct.” All I need to know. Time to take revoke mom’s parent credentials.

  • FrikkenFrak

Pastor?  Pastor of what?  Beelzebub Chapel?

  • http://oddlyunfocused.blogspot.com/ Eccentric_Lady

Forced him to dig a grave? That’s some serious Nazi shit right there – Holocaust victims often had to do that.

Causing more emotional/mental damage isn’t going to fix the ‘problem’ at all, only compound matters.

What’s the next step, Reverend Perdition? Shoot him if he doesn’t get religion?

Something tells me the “misconduct” involved someone of the same sex.

…or cooked macaroni and cheese, or wondered where he’d left the remote, or spoke English…

  • Canuck Gramz

YIKES!! We’re supposed to be able to trust pastors. Hah! Too bad I know different! Some are amazing, some are liars, abusers and nut cases, and clever at manipulating people. When I married my hubby my own mother tried to get me kidnapped and “programmed” by Bob Larson. Seriously. I was freakin 40 years old. Hubby’s crime ? He is a Wiccan witch. ( with a bit of Christian on the side)

“Yes, I am a registered minister”

    LOL! I am as well.

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

    That is too funny.

  • Tenbux

Sounds more like a place you go to have sex without them gol’darn split tails gettin’ suspicious when giving “communion” takes a couple of hours, a tub of vaseline, and a gimp suit.

  • Tenbux

Of course he wouldn’t shoot the kid.  He’d only be able to fuck the corpse for about a week before it lost consistency.

  • Califboy

If that kid did not have the “fear of god” in him, he does now.

  • Califboy

Barstow? Shit that where people are from, not where you go,the armpit of Cali.

  • Califboy

Hey buddy a shout out before I go home for the day, missed ya lately.

  • onlyme356

100 mile drive? You would think after about 25 or 30 miles of driving one of them would have realized what a bad idea it was and stopped to turn back. Did they do this out of state or something? Maybe the laws were different elsewhere. I woulda kicked his ass if he did that to my kid.
