Well I agree with you there. But not on the crying. I cried. I still cry. I cry a lot over it. It’s hard to let children know you are batting for them, that you are angry at the abuser and not them, that they did nothing wrong. But being calm? Wouldn’t that show the child that you don’t give a shit?

John I thought about what I posted and realized that I’m not angry at you. I apologise – you seem like a nice person. We’ve had some awful things happen in our family when my children were little and I just found out that some other awful things were happening that I didn’t know about. My kids are grown now and remembering. I feel like I’ve gone back in time and it’s breaking my heart. I’m not normally an angry person but I’ve got this burning rage going on in the pit of my stomach. And not a thing I can about it all.
