Two Teens Accused Of Trying To Kill Man With Hammer

Midway, FL - Police have arrested two teenagers on attempted murder charges, accusing them of beating a 50-year-old man over the head with a hammer and stealing his vehicle. The victim is currently on life support.

On March 26, police were called by a witness who said they heard someone screaming for help and watched as two men pulled a man from a vehicle and drag him into the woods. Police would find the victim lying in the woods.

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim was sitting in his SUV when 18-year-old Julius Bender and 19-year-old Yahaziel Israel approached him and began beating him with a hammer. He was pulled out of his vehicle and dragged into a nearby wooded area where he was beaten over the head with the hammer.

His attackers fled the scene in the man’s car before police arrived and abandoned the vehicle at a short distance away. Investigators would received a tip from Crimeline that named Bender and Israel as the two they were looking for.

The witness to the beating was able to pick the teens out of a photo line-up and stated Bender was the one wielding the hammer. Israel’s fingerprints were found inside and outside of the victim’s vehicle.

Both teens have been booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility with no bail. More charges are expected to be filed if the victim dies from his injuries.

In wake of the shooting death of Trayvon Martin that has garnered world-wide attention, some want to know why this case has not achieved the same level of notoriety. The commenting on some news articles reporting this incident have gotten so heated that they have been disabled.

But it’s essential to remember that in the TrayvonMartin case, it’s the perceived injustice, the circumstances surrounding how Martin and Zimmerman came face to face that night, and the claims of racial bias in the media that gives it legs.

In this case, there may be signs of media bias with some papers allegedly leaving out the race of the accused and the victim (he’s white), but there is no perceived injustice in regards to the victim and not a smidgen of proof that these two picked the victim because he was white. The two accused teens have been arrested and charged with their alleged crimes and, with the evidence police currently have, will probably remain in jail for some time.

I suppose the best thing that can happen here is that these dipshits are locked up for a suitably long time, because looking at those mugs – i wouldn’t trust them as far as i could throw them. They seriously look like they don’t give a DAMN, about anything.
I really hope the victim can recouperate to a level where he is able to give them a big fat middle finger when the judge convicts their asses.

I think it would be pretty hard to judge why one crime gets attention over another. If the media thinks they can get rise out of the couch potatoes of the world, they’re gonna fly with it. In a similar story to this one, local (to me) I had to really search to find info on it. The local papers only covered the initial crime. It was a little personal to me because the boy in the story was a grade school friend of my sons and he even stayed at his house before. Thank goodness he hadn’t hung out with him since then, but he saw him a week before his little crime spree. Basically, the boy my son knows and his girlfriend killed a man, stole his truck and had planned on fleeing to Arizona so they could avoid a hearing for parole violations. They chose the victim because they said he didn’t have a wife and kids and wouldn’t be missed right away. Totally, totally senseless. Now, I’m nowhere near Florida and the Trayvon Martin case is even big news here. So I guess you have to know the media game to get noticed.

Glad you’re OK Lena. That was super scary! I’m in the Austin area but my son’s GF goes to UNT and the twister was headed her way. When I tried to reach her she didn’t answer so I kept calling. Finally she answered, all freaked out and crying, and I told her to get downstairs to a neighbor’s apartment and take cover. She’s fine but there is a lot of damage around y’all, isn’t there? I’m glad no one was killed but I am amazed that no one was. Like you, I hope Ced’s alright.

The Tryavon Martin shooting involved a Latino and a Black. The Latino involved has deep mental health issues. No whites were involved in the shooting, although the shooter is a white Latino which can work well enough for hate mongers.

I don’t know if the prosecution will acquire the evidence in this “hammar beating,” but the force was excessive and passionate enough to imply hate. Let’s see who comes forward with more evidence (i.e., the friends with consciouses of the criminals).

I call this the Princess Di Syndrome: nobody fucking knew her, but every frick’n person who had/has no life showed up somewhere in tears, with a candle and flowers to “keep her memory alive.”

The protesters here in either direction knew none of the people involved in either of these cases, have very little if any evidence of what happened, but they are willing to fill in the huge gaps of little or no information with conjecture and run with it.

Jesus Christ people: take a deep breath and shut the fuck up already.

I am sorry to hear about the tornadoes. Here in Beaumont, Tx we got hit by a bigger hurricane than Katrina. (Rita) and I had a fucking tree going through my house. It was one of the worst evacuations in history. At least, that’s what they were saying. It was devastating to us cause Hurricane Katrina victims kept trying to move down here and we were like, excuse me? Stop vacating all the apartments and taking all of our food! No, it isn’t. I can’t tell you how many times last week that NAACP has called my fucking business phone. It isn’t different. Also, they didn ‘t show a picture of this guy at 17. They showed some 8th grade school picture with no media mention of a criminal record. I think the whole thing is BULLSHIT. Martin was NOT shot in the back of the head, the 911 call wasn’t deliberate, and the person screaming for help wasn’t MARTIN, it was ZIMMERMAN. There was no racial slurs being thrown around in the 911 call, so I don’t know what that jack ass Sharpton is running his knob slobber about. This fucking story wouldn’t have recognition if the mention of “hate crime” and “racially motivated” weren’t involved. It’s fucking bullshit, the Sanford PD are the one’s getting the heat, and the whole case is getting way more attention than it deserves. Don’t tell me it’s more complicated than what it is. I have to live this shit here every fucking day. I’m sick of all the dumbfucks protesting and marching in the streets selling their fucking t- shirts and carrying their signs. Everyone FLIPS THE FUCK OUT when the mention of race is involved. The whole story is full of holes and no one wants to look at the big picture. NBC APOLOGIZED for its errors in EDITING the 911 call. No one mention how this 17 year old punched zimmerman in the nose when he was approached and asked what the flying fuck he was doing there. Everyone needs to take a look at the FACTS of the case before jumping to conclusions. ZIMMERMAN shouldn’t have even followed Martin in the first place. And, YES, he should be in jail right now for being a dumbass.
