Man Tells Police He Gutted Neighbor With “Big-Ass Knife” After Disagreement

Tampa, FL — Steve Lott, 30, was taken into custody Tuesday after he apparently called 911 to report he had cut his neighbor with a “big-ass knife” because the man had entered his home.

When police arrived on scene, they found 56-year-old Tony Jackson suffering from a massive wound to the gut. So massive, police say, his internal organs and intestines were visible and/or falling out.

According to investigators, after a long standing dispute with Jackson, Lott had finally had enough and walked over to the man’s home and opened up his gut with his big-ass, razor-sharp knife.

Police say Lott resisted arrest and was tasered while being taken into custody. And though he later admitted to quarreling with Jackson, he denied stabbing the guy. Lott is now facing charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and resisting an officer without violence.

Prosecutors have asked for increased bond, calling Lott a habitual violent offender. (Lott spent a year in prison after he was convicted of assaulting a pregnant woman with a deadly weapon and holding her captive in his home back in ’07).

Jackson remains hospitalized in critical condition.

This guy’s look is of as if he was retarded. Not only do I vouch for his ass to STAY forever in jail but I also question why this punk’s ass wasn’t charged with attempted MURDER or the likes? BTW, doesn’t he have like 3 strikes already? Or are we waiting to put him in jail when he goes all Hannibal on a police officer, then he will be taken serious about his violent tendencies?

I mean, the guy is clearly disturbed judging from his previous record, but is he THAT mental that he thinks Jackson entered his house whilst still being inside his own house, or is that a typo?

If I thought that all of my problems could be solved by stabbing my neighbors, there would be a lot of people running around with extra holes in their bodies. Fortunately for my neighbors, I’m smart enough to know that successful problem-solving rarely involves the use of a “big-ass knife.”

I know I am coming here too much when I realise the only thing about this story I don’t get is that they tasered him, and then charged with with resisting without violence, if it was without violence then why taser him/

It depends on the kind of problem one is solving. For fine problem solving, a small-ass knife is the better choice.

I was once (well more than once) arrested in FL, I had been asked to leave somewhere but thought the officers were rude, they were. (I was a bit belligerent too lol) So I turned around, still walking away and asked for names. They rushed me and threw me to the ground giving me a black eye.
I was charged with the same thing, but never should have been. I don’t really get the charge to be honest. And having been charged with it, when I didn’t resist it makes even less sense. When does it become resistance?

There have been quite a few times when my neighbors have been having 5 a.m. in the morning screech fests that I would love to do nothing more than gut one of the sons of bitches but I have self control I’m not crazy and quite frankly after my last stint in jail I ain’t trying to go back. This guy on the other hand has none of those inhibitions so I say just lock his ass up for life already before he actually succeeds at killing someone!
