Woman Takes A Naked Stroll, While Beating Toddler

February 20, 2012 at 2:23 am by

Fresno, CA – It was a surprise to be tapped for a story on toddler abuse, being a person who considers children more of an annoyance than anything else.  However, even I realize that, without children, we have no hope for new generations of hot babes, or the athletes who will perpetuate the awesomeness known as professional sports. It seems as though Diana Ochoa does not share my view, however.

Ms. Ochoa, accompanied by an unnamed 2-year-old niece, allegedly entered a Fresno business establishment on the afternoon of February 15th and attempted, several times, to give the child away to a number of adult strangers. When there were no takers, she reportedly did what any 20-something-year-old whackadoodle would do. She stripped off her clothes, along with the clothes of the young girl, and proceeded to walk down the street, just south of Herndon, while beating the child about the head.

Apparently unsatisfied by the severe head injuries she had reportedly inflicted, it seems she left the crying, bloodied child on the corner of a Northeast Fresno apartment complex and made another obviously clear-headed decision to walk, still butt-nekkid, through traffic.

Police officers, who would later cite this as one of the more bizarre cases they’d seen in a while, were called to the scene by witnesses. The child was taken to the hospital, where she is expected to survive. Ms. Ochoa was taken to what I assume was a different type of hospital to be evaluated. I’m no psychiatrist, but I’m guessing they’ll find a reason not to release her right away.

I’m no English teacher, but I can promise you that there is no reason to use 4 commas in one sentence. Remember that a comma is interpreted as a “pause.” Unless you stutter or are otherwise mentally handicapped, that much pausing is unnecessary! GEEEEZ

  • Really, you have nothing better to do then complain about commas.  What about the bloodied, abandoned, 2 year old?   That poor child, with a nutcase auntie who tried to give her away before, taking both their clothes off and beating her in the head!   Obviously, you are heart, compassion and empathy handicapped.  GEEEEZ.

  • Heather_Habilatory

     Shuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut. The. Fuuuck. Up.

  • Commas are not only used for intentional pauses, but to encapsulate an additional phrase which, if removed, would leave the sentence still making sense.   I’m no gynecologist, but…

  • kimbev69

Lol love your write up Pete, and, knowing, your dislike, of children, you, did a great, job!!! Poor little one, i would have snatched her from the loony bird in the business, too many people just, sit by and do, nothing

C a how, do, you like, them commas

  • Pete,.. I’m not GYN either,. but I often tell people I am.  I got a van I use for an office and everything.

    …..there were commas? WTF!?   B=====D——- 0 :

  • Eliza Berntsen

What the fuck is wrong with her?! Why undress?! Why?! My little mind can not even begin to comprehend any of this.

  • Andy P

    She’s got issues.  LOL

  • Josh

    I’ll look anyways?

  • I found a Jack Ass in the comments for your first article Pete – one Jack Ass out of a ton of probable readers is not too bad I would guess.I think Morbid would be proud of the way that you dealt with that jerk-off,nicely done man – all I can say is that guy is lucky that I am the new and improved Cedric, who is sensitive to peoples feelings, and who attempts to play nicely with others – or I would have went off on his monkey ass.Now that I have that off my chest let me read your informative article, have a great day Sir.

  • Josh

She got lost looking for walmart, then took it out on the child. =)

  • See if peeps would just leave the drugs alone … (Ced sits back and awaits the result of his Troll baiting).

  • I just chock it up to one crazy ass Bitch … poor little abused kid.

  • You obviously are not overly bright as you some how or another mistook this site for CNN – this is not a site where we really give a rats ass about a fucking comma, spelling,or anything else that would make this a lame, boring ass place to waste time. Now lighten up and go have a better day why don’t you.GEEEEZ.

  • blubberdong

Maybe her babymaker is crazy and made her brain take off her clothes. Whatever the reason, all the citizens of Fresno must feel like gynecologists today.

  • he-he

  • Whatevn

Dont use the excuse of not being a teacher for your ignorance, of comma usage.

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

I am an language-phile, which anyone on this site can point out, and I can think of several instances where multiple commas are necessary such as a sentence with list or one where you a separating ideas that aren’t fully independent clauses.

Here is an example of a multiple comma sentence.
“By the end of the sessions, the participants will have learned how to handle excessive amounts of paperwork, to work under pressure, and to juggle deadlines; and, if they complete all requirements, they will have a valuable addition to their resumes.”

  • sugarpie

It seems that bath salts make people want to take a bath.  Weird trend here.  Poor little girl. I think that if someone was trying to give me a child, I would take her and call the cops.

  • Josh

You don’t like a runaway sentence?

  • Josh

    You summonsed? =)

  • Lena60

I wonder how she aquired her 2 yearold niece being this woman is bat shit crazy. The rest ofthe family must have issues  as well, drug and mental.

  • Poor baby. I’m glad that she’s be alright.

  • Too much English will put Ced right to sleep …. zzzzzzz

  • sweekymom

I’m not an English teacher, but I am a published novelist and short story writer.  Here are my thoughts on Pete’s sentence:

He had two subordinate clauses in one sentence.  Subordinate clauses must be set off by commas.  He used the requisite number of commas.  The sentence was well-written and properly constructed.

    Well done, Pete.

  • This time I am proud of you and your tact. Because I wanted to tell her to eat a dick personally.

Great job again Pete. I like seeing you on the front page sir.

  • Deety

No wonder I never got the results from that complimentary Pap smear!

  • sweekymom

Sugarpie for the win!  The poor child could have been spared a world of hurt if one decent person in that store had said, “Sure, I’ll take the little girl!” and then called the law.  Geez, people of Fresno, get with the program.

From the looks of her mugshot, Aunt Diana was drugged out of her tiny mind.

  • Deety

Actually, some of us do care. But Pete’s article is well-written, and the criticism is unwarranted. His commas are downright sexy.

  • Deety

Can we not do both? We are the perfect balance between “classy” and “eat a dick”. :-p

  • I actually try to be polite often, but as someone else pointed out, she’s so busy looking to insult Pete that she didn’t even bother to address the poor treatment of the little girl in the story.

She insulted JGo555 in another thread for no reason as well.

  • Josh

    Need a second opinion? =)

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

That’s right. Just close your eyes, nothing to worry about.

  • So this question may be stupid, but would anyone who decided to go ahead and take the child before the lady went all wackadoo and strip down to her birthday suit, get in trouble?  I think if I would have been offered a kid I from some crazy eyed stranger I think I would take the kid, call the cops, and do it all with a lot of commas.

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

Well, this is just… neat. I’m going to print this out and show the boys I do have tact!

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

Do you have a web site? Can I be a fan?

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

Probably because she figured someone would finally take the child, she’s crazy alright, like a rabid fox.

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

It wasn’t her daughter, it was her niece. I think the question we should be asking is, where is mom and dad?

  • Josh

Working on the next kid probably.

  • Josh

Today is comma day on DD,,,,,,,,

  • I can’t believe no one has asked about the “hirsute-ness” of Ms. Ochoa’s lady parts.

  • Lena60

    and some days coma.

  • Josh

The look on her face sums that up. Its a veritable rain forest….

  • GGMon

If someone was offering me some kid I would take the kid too. Shit, at least make sure the toddler is alright while you’re calling the police. I’m surprised no one took her up on her offer!!!

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

    You make me sad.

  • Josh

    Sometimes the truth sucks. =(

  • JGo555

@petepuma:disqus you’d be surprised as to who gets released from the hospital: THE CRAZY.

WTF with the adults!? I would’ve taken that kid in an instant if it was offered to me, fed her something good WHILE I CALLED THE COPS!

And where in the fuck is the parents!? Leaving the kids with a Koocoo puffy aunt!?

  • JGo555

I am an English teacher too. I am NOT in school nor is this website a reflection of my profession/education. The writer got his message across, AND I AM NOT GIVING HIM A GRADE. As long as he can spell, write clearly and use paragraphs his message was understood by the writer.

You must be the demanding teacher that everyone hates.  Unless it’s some asshole defending a criminal in this website, we don’t really bother the writers with trivial stuff.

I rather doubt students come here to DD for the gramatical experience of learning.

  • JGo555

Should’ve added to commas here & there to extra piss her off!

  • MadcapMama

THIS! How did not one passerby think to themselves ‘gee wiz I better get that bloody toddler away from that flailing bag of loony bits and call the fucking cops!’ ????

  • JGo555

Fap fap fap fap fap fap

    THAT was for you!

  • EveryVillainIsLemons

I hold an English degree, and I can assure you that there are times when four commas are both necessary and appropriate.

I also find it amusing that you criticized Pete’s comma usage while typing the number four instead of writing it out, you pedantic hypocrite.

  • EveryVillainIsLemons

Poor baby!  People should have been calling 911 as soon as Auntie Crazypants started trying to give her niece away.

  • I will be sleeping with one eye open for awhile …

  • wow … I think my Dick just got hard …

  • so … are you saying that no one fucked this piece of work ? I acknowledge my mistake … but I’m hoping now that no one has ever been desperate enough to nut inside this lady.

  • And I , like other readers, just cringed. Seriously, Cedric?

  • c a

OMG you even misused the semi-colon….wtf! I realize the average education level on this site is probably 4th grade, but come on! That’s just about blasphemy.

By the end of the sessions the participants will have learned how to handle excessive amounts of paperwork, to work under pressure, and to judge deadlines; if they complete all requirements, then they will have a valuable addition to their resumes.

I corrected that for you. Obviously lists require different rules for comma usage, but the author of this article was not listing anything. That makes your comparison apples and balls. Thanks!

  • c a

I defend criminals by trade…I thought you were a waitress? LOL

  • c a

The woman in this story obviously has psychological problems; any one of the adults she offered the child to could have intervened. After a cold shower and a couple of band-aids, the child will be just fine! No one died…GEEEEZ

  • c a

Your commas are STILL in the wrong places.

Commas are not only used for intentional pauses, but to encapsulate an
additional phrase which would leave the sentence still
making sense.  According to your logic, the previous sentence should make sense. Obviously it does not.

You, sir, are not a gynecologist because you cannot pass elementary English. 🙂 At least the gig at Dreamin Demon doesn’t require any sort of education!

  • c a

Thanks, she’s an angel! She’s only 2 (two, for the fuckwad that thinks it matters in informal writing) and she can probably compose sentences better than this. #knowledgeispower

  • Josh

Maybe he thought it was erotic short stories. Morbid, ever notice how he has to talk about his dick in every thread? I’m the proud owner of one too but I don’t brag about it every chance I get.

  • JohnQknowitall

Someone should have agreed to be gifted the child and then call 911 immediately. This little girl should not have left that establishment with the nutty aunt.

I am not a fan of kids either, but I look at them and see the future of a promising retirement with full social security payments.

  • You’re a mother, I refuse to believe that you can truly be this callous.

  • Josh

It was good for me too… =)

  • Josh

I didn’t know you were in politics.

  • GuyzLuvBJ

    Poor girl……

  • c a

The girl was taken to the hospital. According to medical staff, she is doing remarkably well.

The child is just fine! That is not callous to say that people had the opportunity to intervene but chose not to. Someone could have tackled the bitch and stopped her. Our culture is “not my business” or “NIMBY” so people carry on like there’s no problem.

  • c a

Good one! However, my screen name 4 more for 44 could have been a misleading hint. LOL

  • Athena

I am an editor.  The only error in Mr. Puma’s post was that he failed to continue the hyphens in the adjectival phrase, “20-something year old.”  I fixed it for him.  Otherwise, his post was grammatically sound.

  • I agree with your last paragraph completely.

“After a cold shower and a couple of band-aids, the child will be just fine! No one died…GEEEEZ.”

That was what I found to be a bit callous, even if what you are saying is true, the way that it comes across seems uncaring.

  • c a

Well then, @twitter-69728855:disqus I didn’t mean to sound “callous.” That was just my attempt to convey the fact that despite her injuries, she is ok. I can definitely apologize if I came across that way.

  • Heather_Habilatory

That is what all the periods were for 🙂

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

I wondered when you would show up to this little shindig.

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

Well, since I pulled the example from a text and you are someone spoiling for a fight. I’m gonna go with the text example being right.

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

“Dick” was capitalized so perhaps he wasn’t talking about his penis? I think I’m going to go with his friend Richard just became a gangster.

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

I know, so please do what my boyfriends do and sugarcoat it for me?

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

  • <3 Pete Puma

Gotta wonder why that woman thought she had a right to give away her niece – unless, of course her sister's more whacked than her and somehow she ended up with custody. Poor kid didn't get a break until now. Just hope she gets placed with parents who love her and keep her safe.

  • malq

Nice, I should thank you. While reading your post, I had my third orgasm of the day. The first was seeing this obvious hottie, I sometimes suffer from premature ejaculation. The second was seeing all the commas.

  • malq

I was wondering about Snarks semicolon too. I was wondering if she was going to have to have a crap bag coming out of her side.

  • malq

Since there are more comments about commas than the story, I will go out on a limb and say I feel sorry for this woman. She looks like she has been through hell. I would gather to say that she had an extremely abusive childhood and who knows, the baby may just be her Stepdads. I hope she gets the help she needs and gets fixed.
At least she didn’t toss her baby in the trash, although what she did to it was pretty close and unforgivable

  • Josh

Richard head? Just call him dick.

  • TruTruTrue

Here in Florida, they passed a law last year which drug test all who are on welfare. ( if they test positive they would lose their benefits) I’m all for that but would like to start a DD petition where if you test positive for any type of drugs You automatically qualify for a vasectomy or you get your tubes tied.. You’ll need to go 36 months clean to reverse it… This would hopefully cut down on kids being mistreated by their crackhead parents.. All those in favor say I!!

  • Athena

Both the FL law and forced sterilization are unconstitutional.  If I were a Florida resident, I’d be voting those dopes out, considering how unsuccessful and expensive their war against welfare recipients has been.  And they don’t necessarily lose their benefits.  They can arrange to have someone else receive the benefits for them.Besides, drug use does not necessarily equate to bad parenting.  Our child is 18 months, now, but when she was conceived and up until about six months ago, my husband would have tested positive for marijuana.  He’s also a wonderful father and provider, with a work ethic that would make a machine sweat.

  • RydoLarsson

thats the most fucked up law ive ever heard in my life so you cannot get any benefits even if yous took a smoke of a joint that is pretty retarded seriously disagree with that 100 percent

  • GGMon

    TruTruTrue for president. I motherfuckers!

  • Well it depends what kind of drug you are talking about here. And I think they should also lose their benefits if they have 3 children, and are on welfare already, and then go out and have 3 more….

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

Um. yeah, they passed the law and it ended up costing us more than it saved us. It was an ill conceived law to make stupid people happy because they don’t know any better. Of all the people tested 98% passed and now need to be reimbursed by the state
Gov. Scott held economic interests in the drug testing company that was awarded the sole contract for drug testing. In April he sold off his stock valued at $62 million in the company he founded in 2001, according to the St. Petersburg Times.
The Tampa Tribune did some simple math and found out how much the governor’s assumptions about poor people going to cost the state:

Cost of the tests averages about $30. Assuming that 1,000 to 1,500 applicants take the test every month, the state will owe about $28,800-$43,200 monthly in reimbursements to those who test drug-free.

That compares with roughly $32,200-$48,200 the state may save on one month’s worth of rejected applicants.

Net savings to the state: $3,400 to $5,000 annually on one month’s worth of rejected applicants. Over 12 months, the money saved on all rejected applicants would add up to $40,800 to $60,000 for a program that state analysts have predicted will cost $178 million this fiscal year.

  • malq

I like that, i am going to use it in every post today.

  • TruTruTrue

DK.. I do see how the $’s and Cents do not stalk up yet.  This is something that can be tweaked till it runs right.  I’m not a fan of Gov. Scott and his policies and I’m sure most if not all of the politicians in office have alternative motives to pushing a new laws.  The way I see it, I believe welfare recipients should not only be drug
tested, but also have their check direct deposited onto a card that is
only able to be used at a place of purchase, not at an atm.   The system is being abused left and right and we needed to start somewhere.  And who knows if this stupid ass who tried to give her niece away was on some type of drugs where the system could’ve caught it before she hurts someone.  I know this may be too Big Brother for some to comprehend, but if a person gets drug tested when they apply for a job, why not for this.

  • LeaveMeBe

I’m no Colorectal Specialist but I can say without a doubt that you’re an ASSHOLE.

  • LeaveMeBe

After all the mothers we read about on this site I do not believe your statement AM, although I love you for being so even-keeled. ;P

  • TruTruTrue

I’m glad to hear things worked out for you guys.  I’m not saying someone who uses or abuses drugs (which in my eyes is the same thing) won’t make a great parent.  I just don’t see how you can take a risk of putting yourself or your kids in a position where if something goes wrong the parent will not be able to react, or use their best judgement to get the help the kid needs.  Let me give you a prime example.  A friend of mine who I consider to be a hell’off a single mom used to say she couldn’t fuk things up, that she actually did things better when she got high.  Mind you as far as I knew she was just a once in a blue type of toker. One day as she was bathing her baby, she fail to see that the shampoo she picked up and was using wasn’t tear free.  Luckily she was able to rush her by to the ER where she was told if she had waited any longer her baby could’ve ended up blind.  Needless to say she almost lost her family and her job bc of this.  All I’m saying is that it only takes 1 brainfart to regret doing something stupid.  Me, I can’t take that chance.  At the end of the day we need to help these kids get the best of everything.  Also, children are taught first from their parents so if they see
their parents doing it, it is only natural for them to follow in their

As for the sterilization; I know it’s a bit harsh and I know it would never become a law, but it just pisses me off when I read stories like these where you know these poor excuse for a human being will just continue to pop a kid out every 9.5 months. Where do you draw the line at that.  Shit, I’ll flip the bill for those procedures.

  • DangerousKindOfSnark

Unforgivably, even if this woman was tested and found to be a drug user the state simply stops the support. I don’t see how that would have helped this girl at all. They don’t swoop in like superheros and take the children away. They only stop the welfare. Quite frankly if my taxes are paying to feed the drug habits of that 2% that are confirmed drug users I consider it money spent that keeps them from robbing me to get the money.
It’s not a great system, but Governor Scott’s solution is not a solution. I think something like rehab to keep benefits and job training are a much better way to start fixing the system.

  • neenaP

    Fucking kill her now

  • DorianJ

Thank you! I wanted to say something similar.I actually feel bad for her because she is obviously not well and it seems to me like she was trying to call for help to protect the child from her own mental issues. when that didnt work she did whatever it took to get attention. I hope she is getting much needed treatment. same for the child.
