Eighth-Grader Shoots Self In Face With Shotgun In School Cafeteria

Walpole, NH – On Friday, a 14-year-old boy pulled out a shotgun while inside a school cafeteria and shot himself in the face. Surprisingly, the boy is currently still alive.

Police say Hunter Mack was upset over a relationship with a girl when he shot himself in the face with a 20-gauge shotgun at around 11 a.m. at Walpole Elementary. There were around 70 other students in the cafeteria at the time of the shooting.

On student told reporters that when one their friends noticed the gun Mack had hidden under his clothing and asked what it was for, that Mack stated he was “making things better” before shooting himself.

Mack was rushed to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery for his significant facial injuries. His relatives say that his vital signs are good, but that he will have a challenging recovery.

Classes have resumed today and crisis response counselors will be available for students and staff.

All I can think of when I read the word “challenging” is James Vance, the guy who tried to kill himself with a shotgun blast to the head but only managed to blow off the lower half of his face.

The only thing I am really happy for in all of this is that he didn’t shoot anyone but himself, especially that girl that rejected him. More than likely she won’t take him back. It’ll be irrelevant wether or not what he looks like since what would be relevant is that the kid is coo-coo for pussy puffs.

Did that with her sister. (sleeping with part, not date) Not all its cracked up to be. Felt bad I had ruined the relationship with her and her sister, she was a nice girl. Just collateral damage for getting back at the whore bag, I guess.

Sometimes it is easy to forget just how difficult middle school and high school can be on kids in their early teens. I bet the road to recovery will be a long and painful one. No bitch is worth taking your life over; at any age although it can certainly feel like it sometimes.

Yep,you can try this type of thing with a shotgun and still get it wrong.Sorry to read about this kid – he needed some help and obviously didn’t get any.Sad thing is if his brain is intact when he recovers enough he will must likely not like what he is left with physically,and may get the whole suicide thing right next time.The real ones with the challenge will be his care givers.

A sad story, but maybe he learned from TV that when you want to kill yourself, place the shotgun under your chin and shoot straight up. On TV that results in death. In real life it just results in a lifetime of pain, suffering, and the horrified stares of passersby.

Nah….I can’t back this up for a Darwin. I’m not going to put that on a teenage kid who’s clearly suicidal.

I think of Darwin when an adult does something clearly stupid (like….a chimp would have known better) who WASN’T trying to off themselves but ended up that way.

Just can’t slam this kid. His life….well, what ever version of a life….is going to be totally f’ed up from this point on. Poor kid.

How did he walk into the school with a freaking shotgun? He made it all the way to 11 AM and the cafeteria before anyone noticed it? How is that? It was a shotgun, not a handgun.

The kid is lucky, but chances are, considering how ME ME ME some teens are, the girl probably isn’t very impressed.

Hope he recovers and gets some help. The school will probably get metal detectors now, maybe.

The only reason that I can come up with as to why he would attempt a suicide over a girl is that she must have had been giving really good head, like real, real good, that he no longer wanted to live without it.

Aside from the obvious things, like the fact that he’s just a kid and obviously needed counseling and yadda yadda all that good shit, and everything everyone else has said… I mostly I just keep thinking how one day when he’s older (if he makes it that long) he’s going to have to look back and think, “Holy shit, I shot myself in the face when I was 14. Over a girl.” That and if anyone ever dates him again (seems kind of like a slim chance) he’s going to somehow have to explain the situation.

I wish more people in this day and age would help kids understand that teenage drama and heartache doesn’t last forever, it’s like a sickness and one day the fever breaks. It’s seems crazy how many really (like REALLY) young kids are offing themselves lately over what to adults obviously seems trivial but to them is probably “huge”.

Just another reason I must be getting old, but I don’t get kids these days.
