Seven Kids Charged With Beating 13-Year-Old Girl On Florida School Bus

Ocala, FL – Police have arrested seven kids, ages 12 to 14, for their part in the brutal beating of a 13-year-old girl who was riding their school bus for the first time Friday.
After the Liberty Middle School student boarded the bus, none of the 70+ students on board would let her sit beside them. So she sat in her sister’s lap. Teasing ensued before someone threw a shoe at the girl, hitting her in the head. When the girl threw the shoe back, all hell broke loose.
The kids were on this girl faster than Jaded on bacon and proceeded to beat the crap out of her. Police say she was punched and kicked at least 15 times during the melee and lost consciousness at some point. It was so bad that the bus driver had to stop at a different school for help after failing to stop the fighting on two occasions.
Police interviewed all the students and reviewed surveillance footage taken on the bus before arresting seven on charges of felony battery and disorderly conduct. They have since been released to their parents and have been suspended from school.
“If you’re in the midst of committing a felony battery, and we find out about it, we’re going to arrest you. It’s just simply not allowed in Marion County, and for these seven students, they have to realize that there is consequences to their actions,” Marion County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Judge Cochran said as I stood up and slow clapped.
The victim was taken to the hospital suffering from a mild concussion and muscle spasms. She has since returned home.
