Woman Uses Shotgun To Kill Suspect In Home Invasion

whoa! wait, she was being terrorized, had a baby in the home while there were armed men trying to get in and there are STILL people telling her she was wrong?! 

I can’t even imagine (probably because I live in a city) but I can’t imagine being on the phone with 911 for that long and the police still haven’t shown up. Crazy. She did what she had to do. Good for her.

Good for her. she had no choice, those punks were breaking into her home with a weapon.They meant to harm iam sure. She had a home and baby to protect, kudos to her, fuck them.

That was the first thing I thought when I read it…20 minutes they were trying to get into the house. And no cops….

Thing is as well though, the people that are defending these scum of the earth haven’t thought about that 20 minutes. They had 20 minutes to come to their senses (if they ever had any) and get out of there. They chose to stay, they chose to go there in the first place, and they chose to go armed. Put all those choices together and you get the outcome you get. One dead, foolish home invader

Anyone who is saying she was wrong for defending herself, her property and most of all, her own child need to be shot themselves!

I don’t care who the father of her baby is or how old her late husband was–someone who breaks into another person’s home with a huge-ass hunting knife in his hand is not there to sell Girl Scout cookies.  She was well within her rights to defend her home.

And by the way, since she breeds dogs, she probably lives well outside the city limits to give the dogs room to play outside and to avoid violating city ordinances that limit the number of animals one can have on one’s property.  Living outside city limits definitely increases the amount of time it takes to get LE to a residence.

That being said, if he really was stalking her, I’m glad she shot and killed him.  An arrest and jail time wouldn’t deter a determined stalker, especially an armed one with an accomplice in tow.

Seems 911 told her it was cool to start blowing those dudes away when they actually entered the home. Technically, she could have started ‘legally’ blowing them away when they were breaking down her door. If the boy’s family has any issues with what went down, they should drop it in the cop’s complaint box at the station. I bet the 911 call is interesting to hear, imagine it will be available soon.

My heart goes out to his friends and family who have clearly lost someone dear to them, but in the end, he made a very poor decision and sadly it’s the last poor decision he’ll ever make.  People may deserve second chances, but sometimes you just don’t get one–it’s a fact of life–and that’s why you’re supposed to do your best to get it right the first time.  

This girl has showed immense bravery in the face of danger and protected her own as was her right. I would have done the exact same thing to protect me and my child.

I find it sort of amusing/cute that “911 told her it was OK” to shoot the guys, suggesting she was nice enough to ask. If I was alone in my house with a kid and two armed guys were breaking in, I don’t think I’d really care if it was OK or not.

I don’t think she did anything wrong – I would do the exact same thing. If you don’t want to die – then don’t go breaking into homes. I guess they thought once they killed her dogs then it would be easy to break in and rob her – or worse. Guess they didn’t take into consideration that she might just have a gun. Their bad. I feel sorry for her as the article said her husband had just died on Christmas (it didn’t say what he died from) and she must have been scared out of her mind for her baby & herself. If she hadn’t had that gun – she would probably be dead right now because if they only wanted to rob her – they would have picked a time when she wasn’t home. I do have to say however, that although she didn’t deserve to lose her husband, dogs or have to end up killing somebody – maybe she should rethink her choice of income – because I usually don’t have much sympathy for those who pay their bills by adding to the pet population. The article said she made her money by breeding hr two (now dead) dogs. How many damn times has she breed that poor dog if that was her only source of income? Go out and get a real job. Seriously.  - and before I get bashed – go back to the beginning of my comment – I DID say I felt sorry for her and she did the right thing. I just DO NOT AGREE with her (lazy ass) choice of income. How is she going to pay her bills now that her meal-tickets are dead? 

 If dude was shot dead while trying to break in I say the family should suck the bullets out of his cold hard body and fuck off.  I’ll be visiting documenting reality for the next few days. Maybe his pretty morgue photos will end up there.

Don’t ever doubt she did the right thing.  I attended an in-service class on sex crimes.  A young woman with a baby called 911 saying a man (a neighbor who had just broken up with his wife)  was beating down her door.  She had a gun but the operator (female) told her not to use it.  Once the man broke inside her home he grabbed her and raped her while she screamed the whole time.  The call was recorded until the police came in and pulled him off the woman.  Hearing that tape was heartbreaking for all of us, and it seemed to last forever.  If only she had shot him. 

Wow.  A 911 operator told her not to use it?  Amazingly negligent.  I would have filed suit, if I were her.  Well, no, I would have disregarded that advice if I were her.  But given the result, she should have filed suit.

This girl has spunk, if she was older I would ask for her hand in marriage.

Coyote, they were pulled by the time I got off work yesterday and read the original article then the followup with the losers name that called his parents to come get him. Kudos for them in turning him in and I’m just disappointed that she didn’t nail him also as he was part of a terrorization and whatever else they had planned. The dogs thing would have been enough for me, and trust me, she’s getting allot of support. It’s not uncommon in rural areas for it to take that long for the law to get out. Your best bet is to arm yourself and call your neighbors while your calling them.

The trailer was supposed to be vacant since the 60 yr old man died. The landowner (Justin’s Boss) had no clue the old man was married. Or that there was somebody else living there with him. So Justin was on his boss’s land breaking into his boss’s trailer that was supposed to be vacant to check it out and make sure everything was off. And was shot and killed by a 18 yr girl that in the 21 minutes that it took him to get in NEVER said a word or warning to the man that had every right to be there. Then to top it off the Blanchard police and Media don’t bother to get the story straight or do a proper investigation before they smear the nation with false information.

After reading a bunch of comments on a bunch of sites, even Pro-Justin bullshit….I’m starting to wonder if maybe the property owner/landlord dude wasn’t trying to to intimidate this girl out of the place or something. Dogs suspiciously die and then these dudes that supposedly work for the property owner show up after he tells them no one’s supposed to be living there? How does the owner not know this chick’s living there when according to some reports she’s lived there for 2 years…and there’s also a baby there. Babies are loud annoying little things that like to cry…no one ever heard this baby cry once, at all, ever before this happened? I think the owner has some explaining to do….

i agree with you wholeheartedly about backyard breeding. since the purchases of my parents, who enjoy purebred animals – i’ve wised up and realize it’s more rewarding to adopt (it really is!). and around here, there’s no fucking excuse – no red tape, no fees because the animals are FREE to adopt.

wow-it looks like there is more to the story when you read the posts.  It sounds like he was sent there to evict what he was told were squatters.  Please keep us updated Morbid if you hear more about this.

I thankfully have no idea about the laws about evictions.  That does sound like they should have been there, but why did she wait so long to call the police?  If I’m holding my baby and I hear someone at the door, I’m blowing up 911 as fast as possible!!!!  who knows??

Squatters usually have more rights than tenants do when it comes to evictions, as well.

Exactly! Putting myself in that situation (or trying to imagine), I doubt I’d be standing there, as a mom, thinking “Gee, I wonder if they might hurt or even kill my children too.. Well, I guess we’ll see!” Uh, no. If I get to choose between the lives of my children & me and the life of some criminal who is *actively choosing* to invade my home, my life, who could potentially rape, rob, AND kill me/my child, guess who I pick.. But seriously? In such situations, I don’t feel it really comes down to it being a decision. To me, I really believe it would feel more instinctual. 

I would never worship a god who would send me to hell for protecting myself and my child. What was she supposed to do? Just let a man with a knife enter her home and possibly kill her and her kid? The guy got what he deserved. A “nice young man” wouldn’t break into a home armed with a knife.

I also would never worship a god who would send me to hell for any reason. He has already sent me to be among those of his image and likeness and that is hell enough. What he actually deserved was to get his balls shot off and have to work the rest of his life in a strip club.

Get a Taurus judge it will work much better for you. My 62 year old wife is very proficient with hers. Its a 5 shot .410 revolver. It is considered the most lethal weapon you can have for a civilian personal defense weapon. It has a trigger lock built into it.

According to legal advice on a shooting you should not say anything to them except the address and a short, short description of what is happening and then hang up. 911 calls are recorded and have put many people who blathered to much in jail.

If this is true it makes for a whole different story. I used to go late at night to see if people had broken into my rentals. On different occasions I shot two people who had broken in and threatened me. If this is so, this girl is a murderer and deserves  a lot of jail time.

CNN is reporting that the other suspect was arraigned in court today. He allegedly told LE that he and his buddy got high on hydrocodone then decided to try to get into the woman’s trailer because they figured there was still some painkillers there leftover from when her husband died. The woman also acknowledged that the guy that was killed did know her and knew that her husband had just died. Also, the second suspect (that ran away) is being charged with murder because in Oklahoma the states they can charge the accomplice in the commission of a felony with murder whether the victim OR another suspect is killed.

I live in a city too (NOLA), and I can tell you personally, I have been put on hold for 17 mins before the 911 operator even said, “911 Emergency…What the hell you want?”….And then, waited another hour and a half before the cops came knocking.

Correct. Her husband had recently passed away from cancer. She and the baby were at home alone. Blanchard is a rural town, slightly bigger than ‘small’ – but still well with in the ‘everyone knows every one else’s business’ bracket. Justin Martin would have known everything about her situation. He did indeed harass her days before the break in, including on her own door step. She continually refused to let him in. The night Justin and his accomplice Dustin arrived to break in, she took the baby, put the baby in the crib with a bottle, loaded a shot gun, moved a couch in front of the door they were trying to kick in, called 911 to inform them of the situation, and that she would shoot them if they entered her home. The 911 operator told her “Do what you have to do”. So she did. When Justin Martin kicked the door in she shot his ass. The police found his corpse inside the house and slumped over the couch she had moved to barricade the door. Dustin ran away and his parents turned him in to the police.
