Elderly Man Convicted Of Beating Girlfriend To Death With Battery WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – An 82-year-old Florida man will find out later this month if he will be serving life in prison after being convicted Monday of beating his girlfriend to death with a flashlight battery.

Back in 2010, Alfred Infosino called 911 and said he had just “killed somebody.”  He told the dispatcher that he had beat his girlfriend to death with a flashlight battery and was now drinking ammonia.

When police arrived at his residence, they found 77-year-old Rita Chirel laying naked on the floor of the master bedroom in a pool of blood. Paramedics tried to revive Chirel, but she would die as a result of blunt force injuries and loss of blood.

Police had no record of ever visiting the couple, but neighbors reported that the couple had been arguing lately, Infosino saying he was thinking of moving out and Chirel had dropped him as executor of her estate.

On Monday, Infosino was convicted of second-degree murder and will be back in court later this month where he could be sentenced to life behind bars. Which could be a sentence of one hour. But whatever, in all likelihood, this guy is gonna die in prison.

This story strengthens my belief that elderly people and the mentally handicapped have the strength of ten men.

Life in prison – not much of a penalty in his case.

Maybe they should let her grandkids have an hour with him and a couple baseball bats.

If that’s him in the pic, he could go another ten years.  He’s looking pretty hale.

Nothing says: “I LOVE YOU” like BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA TO THE HEAD.

What the hell could she have done to warrant a battery beat down?  Did she use the last workable one in her vibrator and forgot to tell him to get more?

    What a douche.

I was just thinking the same thing!

So I guess dating in the golden years isn’t any safer than the younger years.  I picture an 82 year old to be pretty frail but I guess not.

There are a few items I can think of off the top of my head that I would NOT want to be beaten to death with, a battery is definately in that category.  For her sake, I’m hoping it was a D battery….imagine how long it would take to be beating to death with a AAA.

It’s almost encouraging to know the older generation is as fucked up as we are.

    Almost.

Only the good die young, and this motherfucker might just outlive us all! Look at that grumpy old face! It’s almost cute! He should be in a movie with Walter Matthau about finding love in your twilight years and arguing with your neighbor.

I know, I’m trying to figure out what a flashlight battery is. One of those big, heavy C or D batteries, I guess. Either she was very frail or he was very strong.

Battery battery ….somebody had to say it.

Joshua, You have done it again. Revealed a secret only known to us wrinkly people.

I wonder if he used a dead battery?

  • Lethal_Tongue

Either that was one helluva huge flashlight battery…Or she had one helluva soft head…

I hope I don’t go to hell for saying that…RIP…

“Hale”.  Haven’t heard that in awhile.

Or one of those little watch batteries…

Just out of curiosity I checked my flashlight. It has a plastic battery compartment that is able to hold 4 D batteries close together….if you take the whole thing out it is pretty heavy and we all know old people don’t have the strongest, most resilient bones.

I just would think this method of killing would be very time consuming. Poor lady she survived being married for that long to have it end with a Duracell.:(

…..and my coffee is splattered on the screen. Thank you for that. :)

Old people ARE super strong – if they have dementia. I remember my old frail great uncle throwing household items at his daughter like a pro baseball player because in his altered state he was sure she’d killed his wife (her mother & the woman died 5 yrs earlier naturally). Old people can be strong & angry. Maybe because I’m strong & angry now it will morph into sweet little old lady in 50 yrs.

Dang, the years have NOT been kind to Dustin Hoffman.

A bottle of ammonia, a nekkid girlfriend, a flashlight battery… how did all the makings of a party suddenly become a murder scene?

He looks like that muppet that sits up in the balcony harrassing the other muppets.
