Georgia Pediatrician Accused Of Possessing Child PornCOLUMBUS, GA – Police have arrested a pediatrician in Georgia, charging him with possessing child pornography.

Dr. Yancy Craft, 41, was arrested and charged with possession and receipt of child pornography after getting snagged in an interstate child pornography sting. He originally flew into the FBI Memphis Crimes Against Children Task Force’s radar, but they had to transfer their case to Columbus officials after Craft relocated there.

Yesterday a U.S. Magistrate Judge allowed Craft to be released on recognizance bond, but he is required to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet, have no unsupervised supervision with anyone under 18, not have a firearm and be subject to home confinement from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Before moving to Columbus,  Craft, who also goes by the name Travis Mobley, was a practicing pediatrician in Tennessee and Arkansas.

Great. Parents are already paranoid about Boy Scout leaders and Catholic priests, now they gotta worry about pediatricians getting boners while giving their kid a checkup.

      Parents need to STAY with their children when they are being checked out. I would never leave them and if asked to wait outside. HELL TO THE NO!!!! And I’d speak up real fast. Not going to happen on my watch..

      This put me in mind of that Dentist in Deleware, who was a “kids” dentist, and his office and lobby were like one giant playground, with all kinds of “cool” kids stuff, to lure them in. Then he was raping his patients, on camera, even the small babies (who I never understood why a parent thought a kid who had just gotten teeth needed some “private check up” at that age) It doesn’t surprise me that this guy went into this line of work, it makes it easy for him. While I think a lead journey through the center of his eyes and out the back of his skull, would make it easier for his victims.

      You are the kind of person that ruins everybody’s fun.[ tongue in cheek]  I refuse to be alone with a child…… If their parents can’t figure out what to do with them there is always the dog pound. 40 years ago I was falsely accused of inappropriate behavior with a child. It was a girlfriends excuse for stealing 12000.00$ from me. It is the only time in my life that I actually thought I might kill a person. Not for the money but for the accusation.
